Failure vs. Strength

I don’t think people anticipate how difficult parenting is. Sure, I did it at 16 years old and I look back now and think to myself; how the hell did you do it all by yourself?! The only thing I can think of is STRENGTH. It takes an immense amount of strength to go through life struggles alone. Raising kids is a daily struggle and I fail daily, but I always tell myself, that’s ok because now I know for tomorrow. See, we learn everyday how to become a better person with our mistakes or our “unknowledgeable” teenage parent skills. Raising my kids seemed easier for me when they couldn't talk back and were in diapers, running around without a care in the world. These days seem to be most difficult because I have 2 beautiful teenage girls and I just can’t seem to grasp how to make them happy all the time.  Then I realize I can’t always make them happy because children need to know that in life, everything comes with a price and failure is how we succeed. I’ve been a single mother since I was 16. I’m now 33 and I’m still learning everyday how to raise my kids. Some days I cry, some days I laugh hysterically. Some days I yell and some days i just shut myself off from the world. I  just have to remember, we are all human, we all make mistakes, we all grow each and everyday. Even though my children drive me crazy, they have the most gentle, sweetest hearts in the world. My kids are the ones who give me strength to strive in life, to become better. Everyone goes through tough days, it’s how we fight back that matters.

Selfish Times

I never thought to focus on myself. I've always been the one to give and focus on others. For me to focus on myself is something new and I feel like it has been changing me for the better. To not care what others think is an amazing feeling. To not care what they say is even a better feeling. To do me and focus on the things I actually want in life is something that I've been needing to do for the past 31 years of my life. I've always made others a priority before myself. So here's to new beginnings and for being selfish for once in my life. To know that it’s ok to be selfish has taken me a long time to realize, but life is great and I love myself these days!!

Balance is 🔑

I’m stronger than I was yesterday. I live life with an open mind and heart, which some may think is considered weak, but this gives me compassion a empathy for people around me. Life is about balance and is key in our world. It’s just knowing who to give and to not give to. The people that really know me, know that I’m a strong women, and I don’t give up. I fight for what right in my eyes. So just know that whatever your going through in life, there is always someone going through similar situations and possibly even worse. Come talk to me and tell me how your day was, we can chat a little. I love when people laugh and smile. We all need a bit more love in this world and I’m right here. Hope everyone had a great day.

Monogamy? Yay or nay? Love is in different forms, hidden within.

Are we meant to be with one person for the rest of our lives?? Or event when we’re with or significant other, are we just meant for one?

Most people think we’re suppose to find “the one” whom we are suppose to be with for the rest of our lives. But some may think different, some may think that they’re isn’t just one of “the one”. See, they’re are many people whom we have connections with in life, some more than others, yet each connection is special in its own way. We love each person whom we encounter, differently. Even if we fell in love with them, each love is a different type of love, a different form.

For me, I’ve been in love 3 times and each had its uniquely different forms of connection and love. We can never be in love the same way as the next person was. We learn and grow every day which makes our love change over the years. We learn to become patient and more wise in life. We learn about our needs and wants in life. We learn how to overcome our desires and weaknesses. We learn about life with love and companionship with each person we encounter.

Being with one person.... how are we to be with just one person forever? There will always be temptation and beautiful people around us. It’s in our genetics. We are mammals in this world, we are meant to breed just as animals do. So how do we subside those urges we have if we want to be with one person for the rest of our lives? It’s hard, yet people still cheat and still love their partner at the same time. Because we cheat, does this mean we don’t love them? No, it doesn’t. It means we are fulfilling our desires to be with someone else in the moment because some people can’t control their urges. This doesn’t make a person bad. It’s just shows their weakness with their urges. It doesn’t mean there’s a mental connection with that person, only a sexual one. Because we are all mammals and it’s in our blood. Because we cheat, does this mean we can’t love? Because we cheat, does this mean it’s ok? Some people may disagree about cheating but it will happen with our urges and desires and this is why it’s always important to be open and honest in your relationship. To understand each other and how they perceive life when in a relationship. We all think differently about sexual desires and with communication, we can learn our spouse desires and be open minded about how one interprets love and desires in their life.

Do Happy Endings Exist?

Does anyone believe in happy endings? We all live in the moment, but do these moments really matter if in the end we are not happy? Every moment is a learning experience, whether go or bad. Everyone leaves this earth at some point. Everyone has weaknesses. Everyone has temptations. It’s so easy with social media everywhere. We all want to be accepted, wanted, or loved in some sort of way. Will we ever be satisfied with one person? I’ve seen so many relationship fail within the past year and it really makes me think, nothing lasts forever. So live life, have no regrets, smile at someone, give some random person a hug. Don’t get angry, get happy! Be true to yourself because you’re the only one living your life. Don’t settle for less, strive for more and make your own happy ending yourself.
