YEYESEESEYEYEEYYEYE THIS IS PERFECTION.
Finney has always been shitty at communicating.He had trouble expressing his issues and needs,so he kept them bottled up,waiting to burst at each passing moment.As a young boy he was good at keeping himself in check,ask for nothing,nod,and obey.That won't get you hit,or yelled at.But now,it's not that simple.He knows Vance would never hit him,or do anything to make him feel worse,but something kept him from telling Vance what was wrong.
He didn't just feel like a burden,he had a slight fear of Vance's reaction.What if Vance gets angry and beats him?Even though Finney knows that scenario is more than impossible,he still kept it in the back of his mind.
While washing dishes,Vance turned his head to see Finney,watching tv.Something was off.It's like Vance knew Finney's body language better than Finney did.The jaw clenches,thw reddish watery eyes,pressing his chin against his palm,his right leg bouncing,his nostrils flaring up,the frowned brows.Vance knew every single one of them.He noticed most as Finney was watching TV.
He put the last plate into the sink and walked into the living room. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"What?"
"What's wrong?"
Finney shrugged,trying to seem like he was interested in the television program. "I'm just..watching tv."
"I can see that," Vance sighed, "But that does not answer my question.What's wrong?"
"Vance,I-"
"Do not make me list out every little detail I notice when you get upset,there's a fucking ton.Spill."
Finney groaned in frustration,he felt intwnsw pressure he created for himself,and now Vance is asking what's wrong?? "Nothing is wrong!"
"Finney you cannot expect me to figure it out on my own like I'm Dr. Fucking Inspector!"
Vance was about to continue yelling,until he saw Finney's eyes get more glassy.His eyes soften,and his tone drops. "Finn,just tell me."
"Just leave me alone,okay?Everything's fine."
"Right.Of course.Of fucking course." With that,Vance grabbed his leather jacket from the hanger and went out the door,slamming it,leaving Finney alone with his own pain and thoughts.

Am I the only who lowkey HATES the way characters are written in certain fics and how they are perceived in the media?
A chunk of media sees him and characterizes him as this adorable innocent sweetheart who constantly cries and is in literal definition "submissive bottom." In a lot of fics I've read,he is always the victim,the "martyr" of every single bad situation.It's like people cannot imagine him anything other than his 13 year old self,but a lot more submissive version.I also despise how a huge part of his character is "I miss Robin".Yes,Robin has a major role in his life,but he would NOT cry about it in front of everyone every single fucking chapter.
It makes me think that people completely dismissed how he acted in the second movie.He is a sassy and cocky weed-head who is just trying to get through life,I can assure you he would not let anyone beat him up or cry for anyone's help.He is NOT a tiny baby boy.
And then we have Robin.No he would not beat anybody who looks at Finney.He beats people up when they harm Finn.He is not Finney's "alpha".
Gwen,who is constantly overlooked(bc of blatant misogyny) and often seen as this "less important character",and sometimes even seen as this evil bitch who hates her brother. (Some fics i've read made me question what movie the person watched.)

brainwashed by pedophiles on the internet… they’d be scared and disgusted if an older man actually tried to touch them in real life. I hope all minors who say these things get well soon.
Actually,the whole concept of teenage girls prefering older men over boys their age did not come out of nowhere nor did is this a simple matter.
There is a stigma that women mature faster than men,which might be true in some aspects.This is because women are basically forced to grow up fasted than men,by shaming women,berating them,and possibly threatening them with punishment for not acting a certain way,creating the idea that girls mature faster.
Men,as a gender,have never experienced the societal oppression women faced(gender speaking.),making them mature and grow up at a "normal/slower" pace.
Now here is the part where it gets unsettling.Some teenage girls,who are about 14 to 17 years old are attracted to men who are older,about 25 and up,because of multiple factors:
A)Men at 25 or older realize things that most women analyzed at like 12 years old,which makes girls feel like they can be understood by an older man,making them intellectually "compatible"(which is sadly not the case,since no normal man would ever do anything with a teenage girl)
B)Boys in adolescence can be massive shit-heads.This can be used by older men as a tactic for manipulation,for example,pointing out how dumb boys are at a girl's age,making the girl dislike boys her age even more.
C)Its something that is heavily normalized by the media.In schools,when a girl has an older boyfriend,it does not raise concerns,it raises judgement that is directed towards her,and not her groomer.
D)As I said earlier,girls are the ones who are told that this is not okay or acceptable,while nobody bats an eye at the man manipulating her.
(It just proves we live in patriarchy and in a world that shames women for doing about anything)
And the fact that men are not forced to grow up as quickly as women.

This is most likely the worst thing you can do to yourself.Just because "nobody cares" or that its not "useful" does not mean you shouldnt create it.Create it for you.

-She is a year older than Finney,which sometimes pumps her ego and makes herself appear more "mature" (Finney hates that)
-Her and Finney met through Gwen,since there is no way in hell Finney would appriach her by himself/willingly.
-Has a very close relationship with Gwen,they have a very strong sister bond.
-She lives with her grandpa and baby brother,her father is alive,but does not live with his kids,and her mother is unknown.
-Her birthday is March 20th.
-Her clothing style consists of pink tops,flared jeans and boots. (Has a small foot to she has to use pads to help her fit into the shoe better)

-Has a very very close relationship with her dad,he is her everything,and she is his everything <3 When he dies she's dying too

-when Finn gets into fights,she does not scold him or try to stop it,she mostly lets it haooen because Finney never attacks unprovoked.
