The Dark Wizard Godelot advances the study of Dark Magic
Godelot studies Dark Magic and writes a book of dangerous spells called Magick Moste Evile. He possesses the Elder Wand, which he credits as helping him write his masterwork. Godelot dies when his son Hereward locks him in the cellar to languish and steals the Elder Wand.
The Dark Wizard Godelot is murdered by his son
Godelot owned the Elder Wand, which he spoke of almost as a friend or mentor in the Dark Arts. His son, Hereward, coveted the wand and that jealousy eventually led him madness. He stole the wand and locked his father in the cellar, where Godelot died.
CIRCA 990 A.D. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is Founded
Growing distrust on the part of Muggles for wizards and witches compels the four greatest witches and wizards of the age – Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin – to found Hogwarts. Ravenclaw is said to have dreamed of a warty hog leading her to a particular cliff overlooking a loch, thereby indicating where the school was to be built
Helena Ravenclaw steals the diadem of Ravenclaw
Helena, the daughter of Hogwarts founder Rowena Ravenclaw, stole her mother’s diadem and ran off to Albania. Her mother became deathly ill soon after and sent Helena’s estranged fiance, a baron, to find her and bring her back
The Bloody Baron murders Helena Ravenclaw and commits suicide
Rowena Ravenclaw’s daughter Helena stole her diadem and fled with it to Albania. A man who was in love with her was sent on a mission to find her, but she refused to return to Hogwarts, and in a fit of anger he killed both her and himself. Helena Ravenclaw became the ghost known as The Grey Lady, and the killer became the ghost known as The Bloody Baron
The Chamber of Secrets is created
Growing friction between Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin erupts into violence, with the result that Slytherin leaves Hogwarts after creating the Chamber of Secrets. He places a basilisk within the Chamber, someday to be released to finish his “noble work” of ridding the castle of those he considered to be unworthy to study magic.

1070 Armand Malfoy arrives in Britain
Armand Malfoy accompanies William the Conqueror from France to Britain with the Norman Conquest in 1066. He provides assistance — possibly magical in nature — to William and is rewarded with land in Wiltshire. The Malfoy family will maintain a stately residence on that land for the next 900 years.

Witch Burnings: As the magical world separates itself more and more from Muggle society, Muggles are particularly afraid of magic but not very good at recognizing it, leading to persecution of suspected witches. Wendelin the Weird is burned at the stake 47 times in various disguises (using a Flame-Freezing Charm to protect herself from the fire)
1315: Sister Agnes writes the Book of the Damned. After receiving visions of darkness, Sister Agnes locked herself away for decades, using slices of her flesh to make the pages of the Book of the Damned.
The human Ruby sold her soul to the demon Astaroth and became a witch. During the Black Plague epidemic in Europe (1348-1350), she died and her soul went to Hell, where she was tortured and eventually became a demon.
1402: Eloise Mintumble spends several days lost in 1402
In an experiment with time travel, she is trapped in 1402. She interacts with a number of people in that era which causes massive changes in the time stream, even affecting people in the current time. Twenty-five people in the present simply vanish, having never been born. The following Tuesday lasts for two and a half days, and the following Thursday only a couple of hours. Her experience results in very strict laws being enacted by the Ministry about meddling with time.
Evil wizard Ekrizdis builds a fortress on a remote North Sea island
The fortress, called Azkaban, absorbs the evil of its creator, who used it as a lair from which he captured Muggle sailors and tortured them to death. Eventually the place becomes infested with Dementors (Pm).
1486 Famous author Cornelius Agrippa is born
Agrippa becomes an author who writes about witches and other arcane subjects. He would be “imprisoned by Muggles for his writing, because they thought his books were evil”
1492 Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington is beheaded (nearly)
Sir Nicholas inadvertently caused the teeth of a noblewoman to grow to the size of tusks with a misfiring spell. His penalty was beheading, but the execution was botched, leaving the head attached by only a small amount of skin and sinew. Sir Nicholas died but became a ghost rather than “moving on.” This near-beheading would torment Sir Nicholas for centuries.
Crowley was born in Scotland as Fergus Roderick McLeod in 1661 to Rowena and an unnamed wealthy father, whom was engaging in an affair with Rowena.
Rowena after being forced to flee Scotland after being charged with practicing witchcraft came across a Polish family who helped her out of her poverty. In return, she granted the family's dying son, Oskar, immortality.
Crowley seeks out a crossroads demon to whom he sold his soul for a longer penis. After a decade, he was killed by a hellhound and his soul taken to Hell. In Hell, Crowley was tortured brutally until he became a demon. He became the right-hand man to Lilith, the first demon.

1863 -- events of 9.11 First Born: Abaddon kidnaps Colette in an attempt to lure Cain back into the Knights of Hell. Cain slaughters the entire demonic order while searching for his wife. Cain tracks Colette down to a cabin in Jasper Springs, Mississippi and kills the demons guarding her. When he realizes Abaddon has taken possession of his wife, he attempts to kill her with the First Blade. Abaddon escapes just before the blade pierces the body. As Colette lays dying, she asks Cain to not seek revenge as there has been enough killing. Cain disposes of the First Blade in the deepest part of the ocean.

1945 Albus Dumbledore defeats the dark wizard Grindelwald
The spectacular final battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald takes place in 1945, the final year of World War Two, and the year that Voldemort finishes Hogwarts. Grindelwald remains imprisoned at Nurmengard until his murder by Voldemort in 1998
