People aren't scared enough about climate change. We have 3-5 years before there is complete irreversible damage to the world. We have 3-5 years before we don't know if we'll be able to have children or work or buy our first house. 3-5 years until polar bears and turtles and bumblebees will just be a story told. 3-5 years until SHEIN and TEMU and flying won't even be options because we won't have potable water or enough resources. People say it's scary and out of their control but politicians have proven again and again that we cannot rely on them to solve our problems. Oil seems easy and available at the moment but in max 60 years there will be no more oil. Please, stop pretending that it isn't happening just because you're not dead yet because of it. The 35°C+ in Britian is not normal. The hurricanes are not normal. The constant earthquakes are not normal. This will affect all of us in time and it is affecting the people who can do so little about it already. Syria, Eritrea and Chad are just some of the many countries already suffering because of global warming and climate change. Please, even something as little as taking public transport more often or buying second hand clothes or going to protests is so much better than doing nothing because this isn't going away and it's simply escalating.

"making them afraid will make them more racist" that's wild to me, because we live in a whole culture of social consequences for antiracism anyway. It is literally safer to be a racist than it is to speak up against it, socially.

Idk about you, but "I'm afraid no one will want to be my friend if I'm a white supremacist" seems like a pretty logical thought process to have, and I wish THAT were the normal and not "I'm afraid my friends will hate me if I tell them they made racist jokes".
