I’m halfway through my first week of med school!! My apartment now looks like an actual home and I’m really glad.

i found my previous phone and while the battery is awful, its pictures have such good quality
also tried making a homemade cinnamon latte ft. the morning sun
I’ve never had a proper work space in my room at home because I haven’t studied at home since high school! This desk is absolutely massive and will definitely meet my “everything sprawled in front of me” study style 😅
How do you guys like to study? I’ve always wished I could be the organized doing everything in advance type but I’m definitely the last minute messy desk type!

I don’t often mention my actual job but it’s been taking over a little lately. I’m currently re-reading a lot of theoretical texts on intersectional liberation politics for work, which has me writing a seemingly infinite strategy document on different recommendations for how we can spur systemic change in our organisation. I’m grateful for a rare chance to approach my job in a research-based, theoretically-focused way as I usually lead on very operational projects. Some very promising (but often frustrating, due to inaction) conversations about decolonising the university, dismantling our systems that oppress marginalised students and augmenting activism in our roles.
look at my mom’s office. my mom’s desk. my mom’s view while she’s working. i mean……. this is so good
25.03.20 ✨ idk why I’m being more productive at night 🤷🏼♀️
[3/100 days of productivity]
some notes from my critical thinking class! even though it’s one of my favourite classes, i’m so glad to be done and over with it :”)

so this week has been a long year huh…. two weeks no classes over here (with no word yet on whether we’ll get an online component). adapting to working from home is gonna be weird one, but thankfully i have plenty of sunlight and a new found love for tea 🥺 i hope you all are staying safe and doing well!! things will get better. i promise.

Trying to work on my thesis in self-isolation. Not as easy as it sounds... I'm so used to studying in the library but now I can't and I feel like my time just runs out of my hands... But at least my cat is always here to reduce my anxiety.
26.03.20 // finally managed to start some work today. I have two assignments due in a week and I haven’t started either because the world has felt very overwhelming recently (clearly I’m not the only one feeling that way)
but I don’t really have control over the rest of the world, I have control over myself and my studies and that’s what I’ll be trying to focus on right now. If you need a chat right now come find me. Scary times but we’re not on our own
i finally figured out the trick to taking notes in class without transcribing them later! here’s to hoping that my next professor teaches similarly so i can keep doing this.
• you guys !!! i got all my grades and all of them are above 10 (in france it goes from 0 to 20), and even if they're all between 11 and 13,5, i'm super duper proud of myself ☆
• it's the 4th year that i study at uni, and it's the first time that it happens. it may not be the best grades ever, but i cried a little bit, because i was so proud, and so satisfied. i feel like i finally did something well and right ♡
