heyo! where did you get that green desk lamp in your dorm pic from 2020? its so cute!
Hi! Sorry, I was on a multi-year hiatus but the lamp is from ikea :)
A messy desk with fresh flowers. Five days to submit this dissertation. Then a week until the essay portfolio.

It's been so long since I posted but things have been crazy - juggling work and university work is difficult. I bought myself a new laptop with my savings (and I justified this by saying I'm always using it). Currently doing some literature review words - 5000 words, let's go.

Happy new year!
I hope you’ve had a good one so far 😊 I’m so excited to finally start sharing content across my blog and YouTube channel that I’ve been creating behind the scenes. I talk about all things thrifting, sustainable fashion, hair care, self care and wellbeing. If any of that sounds interesting to you then check out my blog and latest YouTube videos below:

That’s all for now! I’ve also posted the videos on my tumblr so you can watch straight from there! 🤍✨
i’m not entirely sure why elegant epistles: being a copious collection of familiar and amusing letters, selected for the improvement of young persons, and for general entertainment needed, in all its copious glory, to have 53 publishers but it does, indeed, list 53 publishers in its imprint and it turns out all 53 of them are a massive pain in the ass

Sunday!☁️ I woke up pretty early this morning at 6.50am. A quick breakfast and then I started my assignments. I wrote two history essays, a 2 pages essay about the media violence for media literacy and a 16 pages test for my elective English class.💼📑🏺
hung up some postcards and lists to keep me company while i spend some extra quality time with my desk this exam season
(since over half of my teachers announced they are taking early vacations and won’t be available to help us prep or take our first ever finals) ^^
Lately I can’t stop reading, thinking, obsessing, about love. As a theoretical exercise: what is this thing which has no intention, no obvious purpose, no end towards which a process inevitably, predictably unfolds? A feeling which, like all aesthetic experience, is not general – it is particular to each instance, originating out of a singular sensational body, evoking a response which betrays pleasure and displeasure, desire, want, colour. What is the house that love built made of, made for? I don’t think I make sense about half of the time in my writing but I can’t stop circling back to this idea at the moment, maybe there’s something in it that I haven’t yet connected up in my mind
Sometimes I wonder what it’s like to be a literature major.
Pharmacology is just chemistry and I hate it here...
Day 4- For my researching fellows, what are you researching on? If you’re not currently researching, what is the topic within your field that you’re most passionate about?
I’m really interested in the biophysics of evolution, especially about the problems that arise because of the difference of speed between our social evolution and biological evolution.
5th March 2021: I have had a really busy morning but I hope I’ll have time to finish reading the new Beowulf translation this afternoon.
Zoomester Studyblr Challenge day four - for my researching fellows, what are you researching?
My focus is on Elizabethan and Jacobean drama but I can’t talk about my actual research topic until after I’ve completed my PhD. It’s so frustrating because I really want to share my research topic but I have to stick to the rules!

24th December 2020: I’m spending my Christmas Eve reading good books, drinking spiced tea, and eating mince pies. I also have plans to pamper myself tonight and I am, as always, looking forward to receiving Christmas Eve pyjamas.

being back at the library help desk was nice, but I really miss the pre-C atmosphere. simply handing out books is not the same. also I miss being there as a student, missing that 'I'm here to get stuff done"-vibe, but I got two texts done today for my term paper, so at least there's that
