I found time to work on my PhD before classes started which is a rare occurrence. Did some class prep first and then started to read a new theoretical work on violence, voice and the everyday.
Muffin for comfort. Colleagues for company.

Watched a webinar on GI pathologies and pulmonary fibrosis.
Did some data/SQL review.
Had my last class yesterday, which means: I survived my first semester!:) Realised that my linguistics exam is at 8am - not ideal but I will make it work. Planning to work through both a linguistics and a tefl mock exam by Monday; for now I’m fighting with the tefl slides & missing my car which is at the mechanic :(

shit is fuck! edit: okay, i have calmed down. productive day at my fave cafe today with my sister. may have splurged a bit on food, but spoiling my sister is always okay in my book. checked in the torture matrix for the shift. get a chance to read quran to my patient while bagging for 5 hours. also delivered bad news to the family on my own for the first time. it was as emotionally taxing as i imagined. i’m now sleepy and my fingers are sore as hell and my tummy hurts

first post of the year!! 🥹 i had two quizzes yesterday which (hopefully) went pretty well! 🤞🤞today, i’ve got two lectures and i’m going to finish catching up in my microelectronics class, prep for a lab, and then go out with my friends tn.

i think i have interview burnout – i've spent so much time trying to convince grad schools i'm a good candidate that i'm not sure i believe it myself anymore. the grad application version of saying a word so many times it loses all meaning, i guess.

Happy new year, everyone. I don't think I've posted since December. The snow was gorgeous, but it rained and now it's almost like it never existed. I am neck deep with assignments and exam prep, and wow I disappeared for a long time, didn't I?

began reading a new book, signed up for a three month shadowing rotation, went on a walk. looking forward to the end of the week, watching the x-files, and having one official week of staying completely on top of classes.
