SANTANA:
If there was ever a poster child for peaking in high school, Santana Lopez would definitely be it. The queen bee, captain of the cheerleading squad for two years, sophomore and junior year homecoming queen, senior year prom queen. She was one half of the schools golden couple; the quarterback and the head cheerleader. Life was pretty sweet for her, so college would of course, be a breeze too. OSU had been the easiest choice in the world for her to make, it was her parents alma-mater and home to her motherâs former sorority, the one she expected to pledge.
So, of course it was the first thing that she had done when she got to campus. Technically, she was legacy. The women in the Lopez family always pledged Kappa Delta, then they always made sorority president in their senior year. It was just how it had always been. The pledging, she was assured by the current president and new best friend, was merely a formality. She would officially be a Kappa Delta sister in a matter of weeks. Just the small task of some hazings to get through. First of all, a party. Hosted by the sororities brother fraternity, Delta Tau Delta. An easy enough feat to get through, so long as she had enough to drink.
Seated on a side table, legs crossed at the knee, her short red dress riding up her thighs, she toyed with the rim of her half empty solo cup. She had lost her friends about twenty minutes previous, but hadnât really made an effort to locate them. She was content with hanging back, taking in the atmosphere of the party. She partied in high school, obviously. But nothing she had done had really prepared her for this. This was complete and utter chaos. It was filled with pretty girls in short skirts and boys with Greek letters written on their chest. Drunk freshman making out sloppily on the dancefloor, the delicious moans of people writhing in pleasure coming from upstairs, the chants of âdown in one, down in oneâ and the inevitable cheers moments afterwards. It was intoxicating and for a moment, she couldnât believe that she was part of this world.
SAM:
Sam was used to being the center of attention, even when he wasnât the president of his frat. He was still Quarterback, and that alone afforded him some pleasures that other people werenât lucky enough to have. He basically got invited to every cool party on campus, had women throwing themselves at him, and saw his name in the school paper every now and then. He couldnât complain about his life. But this year was the first year he was hosting a party as the President of delta tau delta, and there was this tremendous pressure to make sure it was the party of the year.Â
He had made sure to go all out. The hottest DJ, the best drinks, and the hottest girls are a must, and sam was pretty satisfied with how everything was turning out. The music was thumping away by the time Sam had said the party would start and it was like a dam had opened, the guests all arriving in a wave. Sam had made sure that the bar was stacked, before making his rounds, mingling, while making sure no one was breaking anything.
He surveyed the room of smiling faces before he made his way to the bar, and thatâs when he saw her. She was probably the most gorgeous girl in the place, and he couldnât take his eyes off of her. She was sexy and had this confidence about her. If he didnât know any better, he would have thought she was an upperclassman. But he knew that wasnât true because there was no one that he wouldnât have seen her before tonight. Now Sam was confident and never had a hard time approaching girls before, but there was something about her and there was also the fact that he had just got out of a relationship and ex also happens to be at the party. He didnât want any drama started, but Sam knew he had to talk to her. He downed the rest of the beer that was in his cup and headed over to her.
âYou know, you would probably enjoy yourself more if you werenât sitting at this table.â He smirked. âIn fact, if you danced with me, Iâm sure it would improve both of our time,â He held out his hand to her. Hoping she would take him up on his offer. He could admit he didnât have much game, but that didnât shake his confidence that much. He just hoped that she would indulge him.
