CW: mentions of kidnapping, rape, and death
So Marvel decided to let Jason Aaron introduce a new character to the Conan comic. Guess who this is….
That’s supposed to freaking Matoaka aka Pocahontas…For anyone that doesn’t know Pocahontas was a real person and wasn’t that disgusting version that Disney shows. She was a literal child who was kidnapped from her home, raped, and later passed in England at the age of 21 due to being exposed to an illness. You can see why this is disrespectful so I won’t say much. Please spread the word and even contact Marvel if you can. This is highly unacceptable.
something I really appreciate about Black Panther is the way that Claw (a racist white man) is the presumed main villain but the antagonist turns out to be Erik/N'Jadaka (black man); and I think that's really representative of how the black community and PoC in general are be weaponized against each other due to the way we've been conditioned to appease white people and prioritize white comfort over ourselves and our communities.
There's also this weird divide of a specific racial/ethnic group are allowed to talk about their struggles but no one else can say anything about their struggles because for whatever reason they aren't deemed as important, if that makes sense.
MCU hot take (9)
If racism had been treated the same way as ableism and victim-blaming was in tfatws, it would have caused a total outrage in the fandom
(Come on, people. We can be both anti-racist and anti-ableist at the same time. Its not hard)
Rogers: The Musical in “Hawkeye” (2021-)
i know everyone is doing their cool headcanons for this wich is awesome and all of your hcs are great, but as a dancer these turns are bothering the hell out of me!!!
The biggest turn that grids my gears is Loki. Everyone else here is doing a single piroquette while Loki is doing a drag turn and due to his placement off to the side and the fact that he falls out and has to hang onto Thor to steady himself is so glaring compared to everyone else in the cast.
Next we have the man in the "I <3 NYC" shirt. This man somewhat looks like he learned how to piroquette when he auditioned and he just has no facial expressions whatsoever; which you should maintain through a show no matter how tired, or hungry, or in pain you are.
Then we have Rogers (yes i know. it's his show etc etc) Rogers' turn looks good until you see that the foot that's in posé is flexed beyond reason.
Now we have the dude in the lab coat and i can't tell if he was trying to a drag turn or a piroquette. I mean he does pick his foot but it's more in coupé and it's flexed so it's really hard to tell what's going on there.
Lastly, we have a chitauri all the way to the right who didn't even turn really. They just went in a circle around themself...
All-in-all the fact that an intermediate dancer was able to pick all of that out from a gif shows 1) all of the work that goes it dance, choreography, and performing and 2) there was no choreographer on set and there is no way someone would make all of those mistakes with their choreographer present.
Joaquin Torres | TFATWS Ep 1
Sam giving Torres the wings in ep5 is Sam paying Torres back for the drinks in ep1
THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Episode 1: New World Order
idk if this is going to make any sense but bear with me....
gif #5: the pain on Sarah's face is for Sam. In episode 4 of CAATWS, she tells Karli that she could care less about America's mascot; so why would she display so much pain over something she doesn't care about? Sarah just got her big brother back months ago and has probably seen him struggle with what he's gonna do with the shield, only for it end up in Walker's hands.
Sam Wilson's USAF Rank
So we know that Torres is a First Lieutenant and Bucky is a Sergeant, but what might Sam's rank have been when he was in the air force? Well upon my research, I can definitively say that Samuel Thomas Wilson was at least a senior airman or more likely a staff sergeant. Sam could also be a technical sergeant if he was in the Air Force full-time for 12 years.
Hot take: don't hate on people who sympathize or even empathize with Karli Morgenthau but then call Zemo your 'uwu soft beanie baby'.
they've both done really bad things for the sake of their cause but one villian isn't better than another bc they did a little dancey-dance
"what if?..." nebula is hot as hek idc what anybody else says

if you like something, reblog it. Help the artist get their work out there in front of more people. Share the joy that it brought you.
if you want more of it, support it. This can be via commissions, reblogs, recommending the artist to other people, shouting in the tags, or sending the artist asks/messages.
if you hate it, keep scrolling. Keep the hate in a message window with a friend, not in the artist’s notes.
if you want to use it, ask permission. Artwork is beautiful and you want to show it off. But please ask the artist before you throw it into your header or your icon.
if you use it, give credit. And not just a post where you say “Do you like my new icon? X made it!”. Put it in your blog description, that way when someone rolls around your blog three months from now, they also know where your icon/header came from.

if you like something, reblog it. Help the author get their work out there in front of more people. Share the joy that it brought you.
if you want more of it, support it. Kudos are fine, but if you want more of the thing you like, you should comment. Subscribe to the story or the author. Send them a message about how much you like what they wrote.
if you read it, kudos it. Or give it a thumbs up. And this is just if you managed to get all the way to the end. If you finished the story and you actually liked it? Comment and reblog.
don’t demand content. Be patient. Stories take time. You can encourage without being demanding. Show your love for what’s there without telling them to post more often.
be gentle with criticism. Some people want it and some people run away from it. If you don’t know what type of person the author is, it’s best not to go there. “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything.”

ship and let ship. You love your ship and other people love theirs. No one needs to “win” when we’re all going to end up in tears anyway.
if you hate it, stay out of the tag. This has two meanings: 1) don’t deliberately put hateful commentary in a tag and 2) if you hate a tag, don’t go and read through that tag just to make yourself angry
if someone makes you something, appreciate it. Read and comment the fic. Like and reblog the artwork. Pimp it out and tell them how much you loved it. It’s a gift, treat it like one.
if it’s a gift, put some effort into it. You signed up for that exchange three months ago and now it’s a week before you have to send the gift and you don’t have the time or the inclination to do the thing. Well too bad. Someone out there has been working hard in your gift, so you should do the same for them.
none of us are “better” than anyone else. We’re all trash for our particular show/film/book/ship/artist/what-have-you. My fave is no better than yours and yours is no better than mine.
actors are not their characters. They are people. Treat them like people.
one of the most under appreciated Sam moments in the show is Sam being absolutely heartbroken, angry, feeling blind-sided and frustrated about just learning that Isiah even exists, then being treated like a criminal for raising his voice one volume on a white man and asked to show his ID and still going to the police station, waiting for Bucky from afternoon until night.
Sam is patient, loving and most importantly loyal. he has the mental power to separate Bucky from the two incidents, although he could pretty well not do that and be on the right side. but Bucky is his friend and when a friend needs him, he's absolutely there. and I'm very much in love with him for that.
in light of new developments....
I just wanted to say that someway, somehow, even as Captain America, Sam still feels like a side character.
yes, he did get his own show but he hasn't gotten the opportunity to participate in phase 4: the multiverse. mans is nowhere to be seen in the What If trailers and he most likely won't be making any appearances until Cap 4 (whenever that happens).
so how on earth did Captain America go from being a driver of the mcu in phases 1-3 to being an afterthought....
People really need to realise that “media can affect real life” doesn’t mean “this character does bad things so people will read that and start doing bad things” and actually means “ideas in fiction especially stereotypes about minority groups can affect how the reader views those groups, an authors implicit prejudices can be passed on to readers”
Sam Wilson, I love you.
