In Japan, while Prime Minister Takaichi is stepping up efforts to push the country toward war, she has taken virtually no meaningful steps to secure oil supplies, and even potato chip packages are now printed in black and white to save ink. It’s unclear how much longer I’ll be able to continue drawing and printing comic as a hobby.

Lately, I’ve been attending demonstrations to protest the war. Today, I drew a picture of a cat my family used to have and took it with me as a sign.
