Introduction!

Hello! I am Anthea. I've decided to make a Rotomblr account to document the goings on in the little Sanctuary my siblings and I live in.

We tend to keep to ourselves, but I want to learn more about the world that was denied to us in childhood.

I'm the one running the blog, but Connie and N might chime in occasionally. If they feel like it. (Probably not.)

Oh! And I've also decided to adopt Colress, the scientist who worked for Team Plasma. He is my brother now.

OoC: Hello again! This is @bespectacled-bookwyrm, and this is yet another rp blog for another AU of mine! It's for the Sanctuary Days AU, and the first fic can be read HERE. (Please note that, like my other fics, you will need an AO3 account to view it.)

Very different from the rest of the series, because it leans a bit more towards horror, but still awesome.

"average unovan has an evil father" factoid actually just statistical error. the average unovan has a normal father. the Harmonia Siblings, whose father is one of the most evil men to ever walk this earth, are outliers and should not be counted.

Always kinda weird hearing some people go on about cervid pokemon like they're some sort of mysterious entity shrouded in the deep mystery of the forest.

When like. Nah. Those shits were eating my mom's flowers, sometimes getting stuck in the plastic play gym parents put in our yard for a couple years, and jumped in front of my car almost causing me to hit them several times

Like, yes. They're beautiful and elegant and important parts of the ecosystem. But they're also GIANT morons and doofuses. See the getting stuck in plastic play gym

That said, there was someone in my general area growing up for a couple years who'd carve halite into funny shapes and put in a municipal park so you could be entertained watching them lick, like a salt lighthouse or SUV or pelipper or something. Kinda amusing.

Also, extremely amusing if you had one around that was with a trainer after or during a sporting event. Would want to lick them SO bad

Haha yep! We've got a gaggle of the Sanctuary's Deerling following us around and trying to lick us! They're very cute, but they're also tiny and prone to getting underfoot! (We've set out some salt licks, but they seem to prefer us!)

Why specifically Audino?

There's a lot of noise going on at this time of year (fireworks being the most common), and Audino have such sensitive hearing that it can cause them physical harm! Not to mention the poor things are frightened half to death most of the time.

I don't think people mean any harm, but Pokémon like Audino can often be overlooked or forgotten when planning events, especially noisy ones, is involved.

There's always a sharp increase in the number of Audino arriving at the Sanctuary around this time of year.

Colress just lightly touched the top of my head with a pillow and said, in the softest, quietest voice I've ever heard, "bonk".

And then he squeaked, turned red, and hid in his room.

Sorta depends, but usually it's just vibes based around giving an even playing field and not going for anything that would cause real issues like hitting someone with glasses in the face

My siblings are currently watching this movie about bringing back prehistoric Pokémon and putting them in a theme park.

N is commenting on all the different needs of the Pokémon and how we don't really know what their natural behaviours are, and thinks they're stupid for spontaneously bringing them back without putting much thought into their needs or how nature isn't exactly predictable.

Colress is pointing out how even running the place would be a technological and economical nightmare, especially since it was a "spur of the moment" thing. (Out of all of us, he would definitely know how expensive all that tech can get, especially if it breaks.) He also thinks their lack of failsafes and emergency power is dumb, and the guy running it is an idiot for only having one person run the entire computer system.

And now Connie's bonking them over their heads with a pillow and telling them to shut up and watch the movie. 'Have you no WHIMSY?' she says.

Apparently not.

At least when this movie is involved.
