The Lord reminds me today that no matter how Favorable I desire for things to be in my life & the lives of others, He is the MASTER & has ultimate CONTROL. There's only so much I can do, so why not leave it in the hands of the one who can do ALL & easily ! Drop it at the feet of Jesus. Life has a way of teaching pretty Good lessons and I am thankful for each one. But the most simple yet profound one that I have come to learn is that there is ALWAYS a bright side and God is there as He is in the darkness with us. So my lack is not really a lack because I've got God. Even if I have nothing but $1 to my name, I rejoice because I have more than most people pray for. My fridge may be empty but my stomach isn't 😋. So the antidote to complaints and negativity ? GRATITUDE and looking to the bright side. There is always one. Find it, in whatever situation. God is your portion so when you have Him and nothing else physically, you have every single thing you will ever need. "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." -Psalms 73:26
"The HEART cannot love what the MIND does not know. To know God is to Love God" This book is such an awesome reminder and how & why it is important to build biblical literacy as women ! Its easy to love God with our emotions and heart and drop Him when we don't "feel" close or loving anymore. But it's time to start loving God with our MINDS & letting our knowledge of Him inform & transform our hearts. If we KNOW God to be Good, we know that whether situations are favorable right now or not, it will end in well because God is good and we have come to know that there we believe it in our hearts. Such an amazing read !! 😩💛😩

Here's a little encouragement for those who feel like they are going through a Job type of temptation/persecution right now: The devil is a liar & has always been. God permitted Suffering for job EXCEPT to kill Job. But God did not allow Jobs suffering because He was a mean God but he allowed it to silence the devil, the accuser of the brethren. Today, remember that the devil is indeed a liar, what he has done cannot compare to what God has done & can do for you ! The devil may strike but thank God you are still alive to see his shame ! He may shake or bend you but he CANNOT uproot you from the solid ground on which you stand on; Jesus Christ ! What the devil does cannot make you or I denounce God because we have come to EXPERIENCE & KNOW who God is & not only that but we have also come to know Who we are in Christ ! God is walking with us THROUGH the turmoil & frustrations, teaching & guiding us every step of the way. We may cry, we may throw fits but we get back up to worship the only one in whom our Victory is found ! If you have been discouraged, remember today who your God is & that you have been placed on earth for so much more !!! Proclaim these truths everyday !! It is never too late to know this God. That means the possibility of hearing God speak to us is sure. Therefore, we do not have to fall into sin. We can live Holy lives. We can live lives pleasing to Him. We can have & live abundant lives because we are sure that He guides us with His voice. But are we listening ? There is a capacity given to us by God to hear Him. Listen !!!
