It occurred to me that I’ve never actually drawn Darius on this blog before! I needed to fix that. I interpret the Blood Brothers ever so differently from their canon counterparts, so here’s how they stack up next to each other!

Darius and Draven. The Hand of Noxus and the Glorious Executioner. The models of what it means to be a success in Noxus. Piecing together a future from nothing, the half-brothers serve as a pinnacle of Noxian strength and are regarded as celebrities in their own right.

While Darius was the model child of a Demacian family built on duty and honor, Draven was born as a bastard child to a Basilichan peacekeeper and an Ionian merchant. It was out of the good graces of his father that the child was granted asylum within the walls of his own home, damned a mark of shame by his very birthright. A young Draven found companionship within his half brother, Darius, and the two fostered a kinship that ran deeper than their shared blood.

The brothers endured a childhood of hardship after the death of their father, abandoned by their disgraced mother shortly after his passing. Left to fend for one another on the streets, Draven and Darius lived life pilfering fruit from market stalls and cutting their teeth on muggers and petty thieves. It was simple: be strong, or be crushed by those that were.

When Noxus soldiers came crashing through the gates of Basilich, it was a young Draven that stood up against the scores of soldiers with puny dagger in hand. The conquering of their home town cemented the brother’s fates: they would grow strong, strong enough to stand toe-to-toe with the Noxian military, not as enemies, but as equals.

While Darius etched out a name for himself through conquering and commanding, Draven sought the path of an executioner. The pair soon attracted the attention of Jericho Swain, and were offered service under him as a means of controlling the political climate of Noxus. While Darius strikes fear into the hearts of the nation’s enemies, Draven plays to the common man and makes examples of petty criminals and prisoners of war.

Heyo, if i recall correctly, Draven has two hoop earrings on one ear, and only one on the other. I mean you do you with headcannons but I surely remember this tiny thing from his gladiator splash and concepts, and just letting you know!

I actually didn’t know this, thank you so much! I generally headcanon that Draven’s ears are both double pierced and that he swaps out earrings frequently so I’m not too pressed about what he wears, but I genuinely didn’t know his canonical piercings were mismatched. Good catch!
