finished maul: shadow lord and.. again.. my previous complaint still stands. while i do love this show and think it was great overall, it's still so disappointing to see 0 expansion on most of the side characters who aligned with maul.

scorn and icarus are both dead, and we still know nothing about them. we don't know how they ended up with maul in the first place, or why they stayed with him, NOTHING. it's so upsetting. clearly maul cared about them but.. why? what happened for them to get so close?

it sucks that we'll never know now. hopefully season two won't repeat this

i will always side eye people who choose to support harry potter/the marauders in 2026. i don't understand why people continue to write about the harry potter universe either. "jkr would hate us making her characters queer!!!" how about consuming media with actual real queer characters? supporting media with authors who support the community you claim to love some much? "jkr doesn't profit off of fanfic!" why are you deciding to use your time writing a fic set in a universe made by a terf?

my one major criticism with maul: shadow lord is the lack of information we have about the people who are actually with maul. we know more about lawson's ex wife than we do scorn or icarus and.. i kinda think that's ridiculous. they've said less than five words this entire season which really isn't helping

for a show with maul in the title.. it felt like he got sidelined in favor of the jedi, lawson and rylee in these episodes

i like and enjoy all of these side characters, but i think trying to keep maul mysterious and/or reserved in his OWN show is just a little insane to me. i really expected more insight into him as a character and his mind, not what we're currently getting. not to say that this can't change, and i've enjoyed the episodes enough, but still.. i want more maul in the maul show and i don't think that's crazy to say

i know there's some real stigma around wattpad, but i wanted to post on here about my fic regardless.

oc x canon isn't particularly popular either, but i've been writing this fic for two and a half years now and counting. i'm proud of it, and i wanted to share it.

i plan on writing some asoiaf fics on there as well (oc x canon, my x readers will stay on tumblr).
