so funny story: during the pandemic my sister and I were so bored we recreated the pro-shot of Newsies in LEGO stop motion. We never finished it, but we got through the entirety of Act One and King of New York. So please, enjoy this small part of the Seize The Day dance break!

Bonus features (aka me rambling about this costume for a while):

First of all, if your first thought is “red?”, I AGREE WITH YOU. I went to FIVE stores and this was the ONLY argyle sweater I could find. I didn’t want to get the copy off Amazon bc 1. Amazon and 2. I ASSUMED I could get a decent argyle sweater at a brick-and-mortar store for cheaper but I ended up only paying $2 less for this women’s-cut v-neck Tommy Hilfiger bullshit and I’m still mad about it. I think I’ll try to get the actual one for Christmas (or at least I’ll keep looking around for something better)

I really wanted to straighten my hair but I didn’t end up having time and my hair is so naturally curly (insert Peanuts meme here) that it’s impossible to get it to not curl without heat

This was my first time taking legit pics of myself in a costume/cosplay and I felt so good afterward, but spending half an hour taking a hundred pictures in PUBLIC was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done but I guess social anxiety be damned the blorbos come first

idk if it's bc I'm not a theater/theatre person or the tism or what but tbh I didn't get the whole "Max is such a Jeff Blim-coded role" thing until people started pointing it out, and even then I think Will brought something completely different to the role than Jeff would have. I could tell it was more-or-less written with him in mind bc of the vocal range but otherwise it just completely did not click with me lol
