boots is THE child of all of the newsies, even when he gets older, everyone babies him because he is the Younger Brother^TM of all of them

les is so easily influenced he all but becomes whomever he sells with for the day, whether getting pickup lines from romeo or sarcasm from albert, he is very impressionable
specs is pretty much everyones favorite, he is such a calming presence that anchors all of them
specs was actually asked if he wanted to be the next leader by the past king of manhattan but he turned it down since he didn't think he could handle the responsibility (my boy has self esteem issues what can i say)
all of the nyc newsies have beef with the chicago newsies and vice versa, this goes beyond boroughs, it is a city wide hatred

pre snyder arrest, about once a year all of the older newsies would have a "jailbreak" and try to free all of the kids in the refuge. it worked about half the time
jack still refuses to accept meddas money when he gets older but now he does commissions for her friends and rich neighbors
