About the Viktors I roleplay as-

Applicable to all: autistic (because I am and it would honestly be hard if not impossible to do otherwise), uses He/They pronouns, probably somewhere on the aroace spectrum.

——-I will tag each post as which it is from if it is from any specific POV —-

Viktor O: viktor from the timeskip in season one (probably lightly cannon divergent)

Viktor A: postcannon , arcane scarred but slightly rejuvenated physically. Not living in piltover or zaun.

Viktor AB: some amalgamation of A and B

Viktor B: technically post cannon * and* precannon viktor similar to the version from “good luck babe” by kosmos_relic on Ao3 (credit to them for the basic timeline situation n stuff) ⬇️

Spoilers? I guess? Don’t read below if you want to interact blindly, it’s just a basic explanation but 🤷 if you don’t want that, then the without spoilers explanation is it’s essentially s1 viktor and Jayce but no hex tech.

—-so basically after the rune explodes jayces consciousness is sent back in time to a different timeline right before the apartment explosion and he has his memories from cannon timeline and the one he’s in + snippets from others he was in for short bits of time.

Viktor in this will also have received some of the memories from the og timeline but some are lost with the hex core.

They’re both in their younger bodies and lives, just different because they’re holding off on making hextech because of what happened. —-

*he nods and leaves the door open, quickly fixing a cup, their cane taps quietly as Viktor walks and there’s sounds of soft clinking as he makes the tea*

Viktor returns with a tea mug he gently hands it to you, giving a small smile.

-blinks a few times, mildly suprised, then looks around-

Ah- you seem to have eh- caught me off guard, I do not think I have any treats.. I can’t bring myself to trick you, would you like a cup of tea? You can take the mug with you I’ve got plenty.

-smiles to themselves . Because the reason they have so many is Jayce breaking them-

Viktor goes to the lab fridge, it never really has much in it outside of the occasional leftovers from cafe runs or Tupperware with food from Jayce’s mom; Ximena; Viktors mind supplies her name.

Today it’s practically barren, only a small bag labeled “skye”. Viktor sighs, he’d been hoping to warm a mug of sweetmilk.

Unrested Eyes

“Jayce have you been sleeping?”

The man is leaning forward, slightly off kilter, staring into the flames, he jerks his head towards Viktor and blinks in a slow sort of amphibious way.

After a moment he speaks.

“O-of course I have why wouldn’t~ I be?” His voice pitches uncharacteristically and his smile is somewhere between “I really don’t want to be at this party” and manic.

“Jayce… why haven’t you been sleeping?” Viktor walks up behind him pressing one leg to his back, he leans into the touch heavily.

Jayce makes some sort of unintelligible sound and shrugs like there’s weights pulling down his shoulders.

Viktor threads his fingers into Jayce’s hair; which has grown a considerable amount compared to how he used to keep it. “Won’t you come lie down with me darling?”

Jayce hums softly against the touch and closes his red-rimmed eyes for a moment.

“Ydont wan’ that.. me” he slurs.

“What are you talking about? Of course I do.”

Jayce starts crying.

“Oh my heart.. my poor baby boy. Did you really think that? That I didn’t want you? Baby you’re all I want… you’re all I’ve ever wanted Jae.”

Viktor cups Jayce’s face and brushes a tear away, gently thumbing along his cheekbone and temple.

Jayce hiccups softly and nods.

“I could never not want my Jae. Never.” Viktor coos, reaching to grab Jayce’s arm without having to lean over too much, they coax him to stand up.

“Come on, let’s go sleep my heart.”

Lab notebook entry (??)

Test fig.21 proved successful, however gears of model 3.5 fit improperly and cause sparks.

— order gears size 7.5mm

—replace fire extinguisher

Side note: out of sweetmilk and coffee.

Viktor taps his pen to his lips lightly, trying to recall anything else he’d need done as he goes through his mental stock of the day.

Jayce’s eyes flicker through his thoughts repetitively like he’s a record player stuck on a singular groove; replaying the same notes over and over.

It’s not that he’d never noticed. Jayce’s eyes are objectively pretty. That’s not really what he’s thinking about.

Again the image replays, soft rose tinted cheeks with the dull bruises of sleepless nights stark against the usually warm skin below damp eyes, eyelashes splayed perfectly, long and dark outlining watery eyes.

“It’s just long hours and allergies”

Thats what he’d said when Viktor inquired, and Viktor wasn’t one to press so he’d let the white lie settle between them and offered to help with soldering instead.

Part of him wishes he’d pressed more, but they know they wouldn’t know the lyrics to the song that would play in response.

I’ll ask tomorrow or something I suppose

(Edit; ignore the rest I’ve decided I don’t like it anymore it doesn’t fit)

They’d seen it before and undoubtedly would see it again, and neither of them would mention it afterwards. Not the red brimmed eyes, not the late nights, not the days Viktor would walk him home and keep him there till the sun rises. Some sort of symbiosis had formed between them because in the same way they never talked about those nights, neither would bring up the days Viktor can’t get out of bed on his own, the days Jayce comes over and washes dishes, clothes, or maybe even Viktors hair for him. They just weren’t things to be spoken about. Maybe part of it is fear, fear about what it all means, fear that pointing it out would cause it all to crumble away. Or that neither was ready to admit they could handle that happening.

I have unfortunately repeated this mistake multiple times.

However I blame Jayce because he knows how convincing he is.

Viktor A

“Bad”

Cw: hurt/comfort

Viktor sits on the bed, staring at nothing, it’d been at least a week since they’d made a horrible mistake and Jayce hadn’t spoken once since.

It’s the longest he’s gone silent and Viktor is starting to think they’ve broken him so far that he’ll never speak again, that Viktor will never hear his voice again.

Something about this realization opens up the well of grief and mourning inside Viktor, it bursts and crashes over them, innumerable lifetimes of it, losses they’ll never know, losses they’d experienced too many times over. It’s all too much and they feel like their body can't possibly contain it all.

Viktor breaks down sobbing, curling his knees to his chest in some pathetic attempt to hide. Jayce enters the room just moments later.

“V?”

His voice is quiet and confused and it somehow is relieving and all the more painful; it only makes Viktor cry more.

Jayce would you like anything from our favorite cafe? I will be passing it on the way to pick up the new blueprint paper.

“Will do.”

Viktor gives his quirked smile and a nod, then slips out of the lab, the tapping of his cane lingering longer than his footsteps.

He technically doesn’t have to go by the cafe, he’s simply choosing that route. Whether it is out of ease for walking that path, simply because he wants a fresh sweet-milk, or that he’d wanted to offer a small favor to Jayce; even he isn’t sure.

Viktor cards his fingers through Jayce’s dark hair as he sleeps, curled up pressed into the back of the couch like he’s trying to sink into it, escape the world even in his sleep.

There’s a soft warmth to his expression though, no indication of stress that often haunts his rest as much as his waking hours.

His hair almost feels damp , oily from days without care. He’d barely been able to keep food down and Viktor has no intentions of pushing Jayce, but they will offer assistance with bathing when he wakes.

Viktor finds a strange comfort in the role, some mix of understanding all too well and a need for control they’ve never gotten in their own life or over their own body and mind.

“Vik?”

“What are you doing??”

Viktor is on the floor surrounded by the books from their big shelf

“Organizing.”

[saphire-jayce]

Jayce is a little dumbfounded.

“Why? I thought the books were fine..”

[saphire-viktor]

“I am not sure.”

Viktor shrugs and returns to his task, humming to himself.

Jayce walks into the room.

“Vik?”

“What are you doing??”

“Organizing.”

Viktor knocks before entering the room.

“Hey @saphire-jayce I got you some coffee from the cafe, I know you don’t really like it when I make it so-..”

Viktor freezes at the expression on Jayce’s face.

“Oh! V, I couldn’t find- oh. Thanks hah.”

Jayce tries to brush off what clearly had been panic and takes one of the mugs.

“I am sorry I should’ve told you.”

“ ‘s okay v.”

Vik sips slightly from their cup, Jayce however just stares down at his.

Jayce stares down at the hot mug in his hands.

It’s silly to be bothered by a mug he thinks, it’s not even the same shape or color he tells himself.

It breaks in his hands

The shards stab his palms.

No they don’t. He shakes his head clearing the images away.

“Jayce?”

Viktors talking to him, how many times had Viktor called his name? He doesn’t know, he looks up and meets the warm amber eyes.

“Are you alright?”

Viktor had set down their mug and slowly takes his from his hands, which are shaking.

“Sorry. I just uhm, I don’t really-..”

“I don’t like mugs”

Viktor looks puzzled but doesn’t say anything, he just nods and kisses Jayce on the temple of his forehead.

He’s so easily set off as of late, Viktor doesn’t even ask about the mug thing. He’ll just put it in a cup or something next time, and add mugs to the seemingly ever growing list.

“Alright, let’s get back to work hm?”

Jayce nods and they both return to the desk covered in papers and tools and easily fall back into their natural rhythm.

Viktor A

Sometimes I miss the feeling of the oncoming inevitable, of course it scared me but after facing it a few times it’s worn a dent in me and I crave for that to be filled. However, I cannot bear the thought of Jayce watching from the outside once again. I see it in his eyes sometimes, something hauntingly similar, and I hate it, I hate seeing it inside him.

Hypocritical? Perhaps. I am flawed in that way I suppose but it is from a place of the immeasurable entanglement we share.

(I’m very unlikely to make exceptions, the only reason that would happen is if I’m already close to someone and they want to join in)
