Drew sat there looking over at the girl for a moment as he could sense the nerves but happiness running through the room at that current moment, he nodded looking over at her. “I understand that and I know I could, but I promise I don’t aim to do so and I wouldn’t think too either. I don’t want to hurt you or our baby.” He stated as he looked over at her and shock his head, “Because I was a fool Sapphire, but I am going to do everything I can for you to believe that I want you and want to be with you.” He stated as he looked at his phone light up, knowing he had a meeting in an hour was annoying. He laughed, “Okay I can look over it now just for you beautiful. I have a meeting in an hour though.” He smiled as he winked at her for a moment.

Sapphire was sat oppisite the guy with her hand on her baby bump, “Again you mean? Because you’ve already hurt me once. But we’ll move past that.” She looked over at him listening to his words and her heart melted but that could have been hormones speaking. “Well that made me smile and I am glad to hear it, i am giving you anoyhet chance so you can stop trying to make my mind up for me.” She laughed a little looking over at the gir for a moment, “Well I like the sound of that. Here you go.” She smiled handing the paper over to him as she saw his week.

Drew was making sure that he got the chance to to be with Sapphire, he made a mistake running away and he wasn’t going to leave her alone again. He sighed, “And I am so sorry for doing that, I never planned on doing something to hurt you. I wish i never did and I could go back and relive that moment and not make that mistake again.” He said as he held on to the girl softly, “I have always been interested in you since the day you started working her, then when we went to the bar and ever since then my feelings have built for you and now I can’t stop thinking about you.” He kept a hand on the bump and pulled away from the kiss and smiled at her, “I know they are. They should be working though.”

Sapphire stood there looking over at the guy, her nerves runnign faster and faster through her body, it was all a little bit scary to her and she didn’t know if she could trust him but she wanted too. She sighed “But you did and you could again.” She stated the truth, she knew he wouldn’t want to hear that but he needed too. She laughed a little “Well why did it take you so long to leave your wife for me?” She stated as they ended the kiss and looked at him, “Well I guess we can work on those feelings now.” She stated as she kissed her cheek, “As should I, but I need you as you’re the editor to look over my work before I can do anything.”

Drew stood there in his office, it was like he felt awkward in his own office but this was a conversation that he, well they both needed and he couldn’t help it. He laughed a little, “That I do. But it was the way that felt right at the time.” He sighed for a moment looking at her for a moment and nodded, “I understand your worry Sapphire. But The last few months all I have thought about is you. I am in love with you.” He stated as he felt her kiss her back and he pulled her in closely placing a hand on her bump and the other on his hand on her cheek.

As he held on to her, he realised people could probably see them but he didn’t care. Hearing her words, he stroked her cheek and smiled a little, “Well that makes me feel really happy to hear Sapphire. Let’s try this out.”

Sapphire sat there looking over at her boss but he wasn’t just a boss to her now was he? He was the father of her baby and she had to accept that whether she liked it or not. She sighed, “But you left me to go through this on my own for five months.” She stated looking over at him for a moment and shook her head, “You’re in love with me? How? Why?” She stated looking over at him for a moment. As she felt his hand on her bump she held on to him and kissed him more passionately for a moment.

As she pulled away briefly she looked out of his office to see people watching and she shook her had, “Everyone’s watching.” She laughed a little before looking at him and nodded, “Let’s do so.”

Drew stood there in his office, standing there by her side, he knew the whole office was looking but he didn’t care, this was his baby, the most important person in his life and he was going to work his hardest to be the best dad the kids could ever have and wish for. He nodded, “I know, you were right, one hundred percent right and I should have listened to you.” He sighed a little looking over at the girl for a moment as he kept feeling the babies kicks and he was in shock it was magical, he fell in love already. “As friends really? Sapphire I can’t just do friends, I am in love with you, I love you so much, please don’t give up on me. I am glad to hear that.” He nodded looking over at him for a moment and nodded, “Well do you want to know the gender?” He said looking at her before stroking her cheek for a moment before he pulled her in for a kiss, he needed it, he had wanted it from the moment he had walked back into town.

He looked at her as he pulled away before biting his lip for a moment, “Oh shit, I am very sorry, I don’t want to rush things but seriously feeling the babies kicks just made me feel like I needed to do this.”

Sapphire sat in the office with Drew the guy she fell for whilst he was married but now he was single again she could be with him if she wanted to. She sighed laughing a little, “Well now you know to listen to me more often.” She laughed a little looking over at him for a brief moment and shook her head for a moment, “Drew... You chose your wife over me, so how can i believe you’re really in love with me?” She asked as she shook her head, “Right now, I’m not sure if I want to know.” She looked over at him for a moment before feeling his lips on hers and why she felt the need to kiss him back, maybe it was the hormones.

She looked at him whilst he pulled away and was shocked she wanted him to carry on, “Why did you stop? Maybe we can’t start from being friends, maybe we have to give this a try.”

Drew stood there looking over at Sapphire, why he had decided to stay away from Sapphire and be with his wife, he didn’t know but sometimes he had too do the mistakes to figure out the right things. “I know, you’re right, but I needed to try and make things work but obviously I was stupid to believe that I was still in love with her.” He sighed before nodding tilting his head “You’re right we both lied.” He sighed before he kept feeling his baby kicking, “It really is. “He said as he felt his baby move and he was in shock at how much he loved it. “We can? What do you mean by that?” He asked before looking over at the girl for a moment, “Do you know what gender the baby is?”

Sapphire sat there, she wanted to continue with her work but seeing him standing there was very hard to deal with, she loved him from the moment he interviewed her and then she slept with him and messed his life up but also messed her life up to. “You were stupid, we knew that a long time ago, you wouldn’t have slept with me if you really loved her.” She nodded looking at him as the baby continued to kick for a moment and she looked up at him and nodded, “I mean we can start off as friends and see where it goes and you can be part of the babies life.” She nodded and shook her head, “Not yet, next week I can find out.”

Drew was annoyed and irritated but he wasn’t going to be like that not in front of her, he was trying to prove to to her that he wanted to work things out and he wanted to be with her and support their baby. He sighed as he listened to her for a moment and sighed, “Look Carly and I had been together since we were fourteen, it was hard to throw something like that away and I knew trying to make that work would risk losing out on a lot things but I had to try but it didn’t work out. And I did know but I just was a coward at first to try and do something new.” He sighed looking down, “Wait you were using him to make me jealous?” He sighed a little, he realised she still had feelings for him. As she stooped he looked over at her and then heard her voice, “Is everything alright?” He said as he walked over to see her bump and then placed his hand on the bump where she told him to put it where he felt a couple of kicks and he was in shock, “That’s our baby.”

Sapphire was struggling to stay calm, she was still annoyed by the things he had done to her in the past few months. She knew she should probably try to forgive him but it wasn’t working and wasn’t going to work at all not right now anyway. She laughed at his words, “If you really loved her and wanted it to work, you wouldn’t have slept with me whilst being married to her.” She stated looking down at the floor for a moment, “Maybe I was, does it matter? You lied saying you were here to visit family.” She stated before she felt his hand on her bump and the moment when she was angry, she forgot, she was confound by love and the feeling of her baby kick for the first time, “That it is. Oh my god, it’s wonderful.” She said looking down for a moment as she bit her lip looking up at him, the eyes she once loved. and probably still did. “Maybe we can figure something out.”

Drew was stood in his office, he was dreading their first conversation, only because he knew he would have to admit the truth that he was getting a divorce not just visiting family. As he heard his door open and turned round to see her standing there, Sapphire looked beautiful as ever and radiant during her pregnancy and he hated that he wasn’t able to do anything because he had fucked up. He heard her voice and sighed a little, “I lied to you in the coffee shop, I’m not back visiting family, I moved back. Me and Carly are getting a divorce, she found out and told me to be there for the baby and that she wanted nothing to do with me. So here I am, getting my job back and then hopefully with time win your trust back to be there for my kid. How’s your boyfriend?” He asked briefly looking over at her.

Sapphire stood there for a moment, the office that lead to troublesome was with Drew anything with Drew ended up as trouble and she was in love with him even whilst he was gone. Considering he was carrying his baby. This was hard having to see his face but she listened to what he had to say even if it was torturing her and all she wanted to do was to slap him. “Wait what? Why did she tell you? You should have figured that out for yourself and made the decision yourself to be there for the baby. That’s going to take a while.” She scoffed for a moment before laughing shaking her head. “Oh he’s not actually my boyfriend, I just said he was to make you jealous. I mean he’s gay.” She laughed a little before she felt the baby kick and she stopped, that was the first time, she felt it and she was shocked, “Woah, what was that?” She said out loud as she took a seat and felt the baby kick again, “Come here quick and put you hadn’t here.” She stated as she put a hand on her bump for a moment.”

Drew had managed to get his job back at the paper, he wasn’t doing it to get close to Sapphire and their baby but he needed a job but he was lucky that it was still available,it had been five months he thought it would have closed. Now he was back and he was walking back in, he felt nervous for once, but he was more worried to see Sapphire and wonder how she would react to be here. But he needed to stop that. He sat down in the office that he had missed and set everything up. this was when Sapphire would find out he was getting a divorce and he knew she would want to know that. As he sat there he looked over at the girl who was sitting in the desk, it was actually a relief to see her at work.

Sapphire had been at work for ten minutes and she was already hoping to go home and that never happened before but being pregnant and tired all the time was stopping her motivation. As she sat in her booth which faced the office, the one office she hated looking at until suddenly she saw him, he entered his office which he vacated months ago and was setting things up. She decided she needed to find out why and what was going on, so she walked to his office and knocked on the door before walking in. “What the fuck? What are you doing here?” She asked as she stood there looking at him.

Drew stood there for a moment, his nerves picked up, there was the girl he got pregnant and there was a baby bump to go with it and he honestly wished he could do something to make it ten times better for the girl but he couldn’t, he screwed up. He nodded, “Yeah the family are important to me.” He stated feeling the awkward tension between them, he really didn’t like it and he wished he never left. Hearing her worse, he felt the sting but he didn’t know if it was true bu he just wanted the girl to be happy. “Well Congratulations, nice to meet you Jamie.” He stated looking down at the floor for a moment.

Sapphire felt like she was stuck, like she was trapped and there was no way out, it wasn’t that she wanted to lie to Drew but she didn’t know what else she could do. He made his choice once and it was something she could easily move past. She laughed a little at his compliment but shook her head for a moment, she wasn’t going to comment on that, “Thanks.” She said looking at Jamie, she felt awkward and she needed to break it. “Well it was good to see you Drew but we have to go.” She stated looking at him before picking her jacket and bag up before turning round to leave.

Drew felt the weakness run over him, he realized he made the wrong decision leaving her to raise the baby on her own and go through this alone but he never expected her to see her with someone else. He wished he never left now, he wished he made things work with Sapphire and that things didn’t go the way they did. As Sapphire looked at him and walked pat him he sighed before hearing his words and put a hand through his hair, he could either lie or tell the truth, he wasn’t sure what to say. For now, he chose to lie, he can fix it a bit later, “Well I’m back for a bit, just visiting friends and family you know, catching up.” He stated looking at her, “Well who’s this?” He asked pointing to the guy standing next to her.

Sapphire stood there with Jamie for a moment, her hand rested on the top of her bump for a moment as if she was trying to protect her baby from the dad. She looked up and then down at he floor before back up, it was all a bit of a shock for Saph to see Drew there, the last she had heard was he was going to fix things with his wife and move away. As she stood there she nodded, “Guess it’s nice to visit the family.” She sighed looking own again before up at him and sighed and then looked up at Jamie who soon nodded at her, “Oh this is Jamie, he’s my boyfriend” She hated lying to him, but it was something she needed, she needed the guy to be like a shield to her and her heart and her baby.

It had been about four months since Drew Left New York, he knew at the time he was making the right decision but ever since he left the same feeling was on his mind and yes Sapphire was right, he should have told his wife the truth and whilst living in Nashville with his wife and her parents and siblings, he felt the pit of gilt inside him, that he told Cara the truth. After doing so, she asked for a divorce and he got his old job back and tried his best to stay strong for returning home.

He walked into his old regular coffee shop, he stood there in line before seeing a familiar blonde with a guy and he didn’t think it was here, until he saw a slight bump and then saw her face who was sitting at the table near the cashier. He didn’t know what to do, he felt lost, seeing her again hurt especially seeing her with another guy.

Sapphire was still devastated over Drew leaving but he made his decision very clear and that was that and she had nothing she could do. She had to move on with her life, move on and do what was best for her baby since she was going to have to do it on her own since Drew made the decision. She wanted to know if he was capable of hiding the truth, if he was capable of keeping the truth to himself. She wanted to see him in the city, she wanted him to come back for er but four months went and there was no him.

With in the last four months she met a guy, someone she could trust so she told the truth to him, lucky for her, he was just a friend, actually a gay friend but she was sure she could trust him with anything. They decided to go to their normal coffee shop for a coffee and catch up. Sapphire by now was five months pregnant and she was getting ready for her next scan later on that week. She sat in the coffee shop before her eyes clocked on to someone, and before she knew it, it was him, just by the way he was standing there. She didn’t know what to do so she looked at the guy standing there as Drew walked past and sighed, “Drew...” She said quietly, she was going to pretend Jamie, her gay friend was her boyfriend and luckily Jamie agreed. “What are you doing here?”

I was about to tell Cara but then she told me her dad had cancer and what was I meant to do, just leave her alone through all of it, so instead, we're renewing our wedding vows and moving, so you'll have a new editor to report too as well....

Sapphire: Oh cut with the crap Drew. Yeah no need to remind me what i already know that this is your baby. Okay so you are going to continue lying to your wife about us and this baby so you can be her. YOU'RE A DICK! ASSHOLE!
