Last few weeks have been a whirlwind! Moving to a new place, going full time at my job, and with what is going on in our society there's been a lot to process. But, finally have some time to sit and relax and focus on my skills. If you have the chance, I recommend this book, Holistic Tarot by Benebell Wen. Chimamanga Ngozi Adichie gave a talk on how women in pre-colonial Nigerian culture were the seat of economic power. They grew grains, managed the markets, and passed judgment on men in villages who harmed others. In other historical cultures women commanded the hearth and home, protected the land when the men were at war, innovated new technology...yet somehow that was undervalued even though without them society did not survive. No matter what the outer world says, never forget that you wield power simply because you exist. You deserve respect and you have value outside your body.
