I've created a vampire character who Has Opinions About Shakespeare and decided that they were actually alive when Shakespeare was writing and just personally hates him.

It's not even necessarily about Shakespeare's writing, but he disguises it as such. Saying shit like, "The modern conception of what Shakespeare looks like is actually wrong - he was much uglier! And don't even get me started on that theory that he was actually a group of women all writing together; it's insulting to 17th century women."

And out of spite he embraced Shakespeare's wife, Anne Hathaway, and still thinks about it 400 years later, asking himself if he went too far. He always decides he didn't go far enough.

Every five or so years he flies back to England just to go to Shakespeare's grave and take a picture like this:
