lmaifgai i swear i’m not an azula stan page (at least not solely) but i’m here to to you to GIVE HER A REDEMTION ARC !!!! the way her story and mental health was treated in ATLA and especially in the comic continuation was unacceptable and super demonized.
she was put in an abusive household and left alone with her main abuser, and even before that she was neglected by her mother and uncle, who always favored zuko over her. yes she did terrible things, but she wasn’t born a terrible person, but rather made one in order to fit her father’s ideals and goals.
the writers literally took this and were like lol sike she’s crazy let’s not give her the help she deserves wow so trendy uwu so quirky haha
