Shane flirting w Carter Vaughn really is such a juicy little subplot of the whole show.. he loves a charisma magnet w curly hair and 1 Stanley cup that's his gay kryptonite

Like no he really does light up every time Carter talks to him or squeezes him except for that one time when Carter emotionally shot him w a gun in sochi but even then he still makes sure to sit next to him in the stands (NOT dinosaur Scott hunter) and yk there's even a part of Shane that's like "omg he likes gay people😍😍😍😍" and ALSO that part of Shane really was 25 and flirty and thriving in tampa

I'm still Scott-posting but I will just never understand how people dislike this character so much. I'm re-reading Game Changer and this man is so hnnnnnnnnnnnn the loneliness, the yearning, the fact that he denied himself happiness until it physically and emotionally wasn't possible anymore and then fell so hard it changed his life so fundamentally that it's basically like going from black and white to technicolor. And then he does the bravest thing anyone in the whole series ever does, and makes things to much better for everyone who comes after him.

Scott Hunter, truly nobody does it like you. And I will never accept Scott-slander.

they're really making scott hunter into a character of all time though he's deeply repressed, he's incredibly lonely, he's obsessive, he's a walking tragedy, he's like if american psycho fixated entirely on wifing up a barista, he longs for domesticity, he gets bullied by twinks and bullies them back, he's walking around sochi going through his own circles of hell because he ruined his own life and absolutely no one knows and on top of all that he's like forty years old scott hunter i would protect you with my life
