When you finally realize what has happened to you but you already described it all wrong and in the wrong way and with the wrong excuses and to the wrong person in front of the wrong crowd and so now you either have to fully be the villain or the victim and you can't handle being both at the same time because then you'd have to deal with both and that's just too fucking much.

I choose villain. It has always been easier for me to hate myself and hurt others.

The anniversary of my best friend's passing is coming up in just a few days and I've never had enough time to properly get into my feels during it these past few years because it was always time for final exams. This is the first year since it's happened, that I can take the time to remember him, mourn and all that jazz, and I was really scared of how depressed I might get. But I've also never had so many active friends in my life that genuinely care and make me feel so seen and so safe, so now that the time to be sad has come, I truly don't feel as wounded as I expected. It feels nice to be loved 🥰 And I think my bestie would have loved to hear this as well.
