The air was cold, winter was setting in further each day, the heavy snow storms were bound to set in soon enough. A black dragon walked between the trees, her large paws crunching the dry leaves that layered the ground, the wind curling through the dark branches that entwined overhead. She lifts her off coloured gaze as the bare branches rustle, the tree’s groaning under the pressure forced against their cold dry trunks. Her eyes shift forward when she hears footsteps just ahead, brow furrowing.

Sara was on her way home from a friend’s house when she thought she’d take a detour through the woods. The trees were so pretty at night, what better way to enjoy them? Her hands in the pockets of her jacket, she watched the ground, making sure she didn’t trip on a branch. As the girl shuffled around a particularly large tree, she lifted her head to make sure she knew where she was. When she did, however, she was met with something she would’ve never expected. A pair of eyes.

"W-What the… Hello…?"

The creature narrowed her eyes as she came face to face with the stranger, her ears flattening back along her neck as she pulled her lips back with a deep warning hiss. She unsheathed her teeth, lifting her head up while moving around the bushes that had gotten in her way. This human looked different, her clothes were strange, what was she doing out here?

For a second, Sara couldn't believe her eyes! This thing, whatever it was, didn't look too happy, though. Maybe she should run? No, no, that's the worst thing to do, right....? Instead, she pulled her hands from her pockets and held them up in front of her, like one would do when signaling for someone to stay back. She put on a straight face, unsure of how she should react. 

"I'm not gonna hurt you...."
