Cloud Atlas - 2

So yesterday I went back through sections 1 and 2 to see what exactly I was missing because of the fact that I had gotten really lost and confused reading them the first time. I started to skim, focusing especially on part two when I realized a huge part that I hadn't really seen before. The whole connection of the two sections that I had missed was the entire reason why I didn't understand the book and I'm so glad I went back because the connection I saw really excited me. It turns out, the diary in the first section, is the diary that The narrator of the letters in the 2nd section finds in the house he is staying in. I also watched the trailer for the cloud atlas movie and it really helped me along to realize that all of the sections really do connect. I'm really excited to keep reading.

Cloud Atlas

I've read two sections of the book so far and it's kind of hard to comprehend. The english used in part one especially confused me and took me until the very end to figure out what on earth was going on. However it might be smart of me with my now knowledge of what was happening to go back and reread the sections to get a better understanding. Im not sure how I'm feeling about the book yet but hopefully it will show its true form soon. I'm curious and excited to see how all of the completely different sections are connected. The reviews of this book say it's life changing so I hope that's revealed to me as well, because so far I'm thinking "eh" but that's probably only because of the strange english that makes it hard to comprehend. We'll see what happens I guess.
