Kate Stewart, my most (and heavily traumatized) beloved.
David Tennant and Elisabeth Sladen, behind the scenes of Doctor Who
David Tennant from the forward to Elisabeth Sladen’s autobiography:
As an actor you’re not supposed to get star-struck; it isn’t the done thing to be in awe of someone you’re working with. It wouldn’t be very helpful if you couldn’t look your co-star in the eye when you’re supposed to be playing their boss or their lover. It’s a professional necessity that you can at least pretend to be easy in the company of your colleagues. I would have to admit to a handful of instances where such professionalism has failed me though, and that afternoon, when I finally met Lis, was one of them.
Reading through the script was easy. I was doing scenes with Sarah Jane Smith, I’d played them out a million times in the playground as a kid, but actually meeting Elisabeth Sladen, who used to be on posters on my bedroom wall, and having to talk to her as an adult. It was too much. Except, of course, she was everything I could hope should would be. Charming, diffident, conscientious, giggly, determined, straightforward, a little crazy, and enormously warm. She inspired absolute devotion in everyone who worked with her. Through her largesse and openness I very quickly moved from adoring fan to genuine devotee.
Every point in time has its alternatives. DOCTOR WHO — Season 13 / Season 40
Because Janeway in her white suit is everything
Today at the nursery I work at, we sang happy birthday to you.
"i remember what their time together meant. my mother’s life was brighter than it ever would have been, had jean not shown her the way. and my mother’s love gave jean the strength to stop running. to be proud."

Ten years ago we lost this beautiful soul to cancer. A horrible disease that is affecting more people than we could ever know.
I wish I could tell her how much I loved her.
Now it's 11 years since we lost you...
Always loved never forgotten

Welcome back!
Thank you its greatly appreciated and I'm glad to be back
Well, well, well, will you look at that? It’s Pride again.
You know the drill by now. It’s June 1, and suddenly everything from banks to big box stores has slapped a rainbow on their logo. Rainbow capitalism knows how to target LGBTQIA+ customers. For exactly 30 days of the year. How quaint.
Of course, it’s nice to make things bright, and colorful, and pretty. But it’s meaningless if that’s all it is.
Pride should be about uplifting and celebrating you, the community. And it should be year-round, not just 8.22% of the year. So, we’re signal-boosting your posts that celebrate, support, and honor all genders and sexualities over here. Follow to keep your dashboard lovely and gay as hell all year round.
And, yes, we’re also making a bit of a fuss right here on @celebrate (apparently, we just can’t help ourselves). So if you’re interested in talking about what Pride means to you or want to celebrate Pride but don’t know how to go about it this year, we made a fun little 30-day Share Your Pride Challenge list. Because you do, in fact, deserve to be celebrated.
Tag your posts with #ShareYourPride if you want to make them a little easier for other people to find. And Tumblr? Happy Pride. We’re glad you’re here.
THIS IS MY FUTURE
