so invested in the daeron child swap storyline of hotd actually. i can only consume the show via edits and posts and little tidbits or i will be trapped in a permanent fit of rage for the unforeseeable future but that stupid fake daeron ruse deeply entertains me. like it‘s so dumb it easily could’ve worked if the kiddo wasn’t immediately brought in front alicent but also how the fuck did ormund dye that random kid‘s hair a flawless platinum blonde with medieval hair dye. sincerely from someone who‘s been lazily maintaining a blonde/brunette split dye in the 21st century for 2+ years. and the way it retroactively destroys half the tragedy of nyra‘s brunette bastard sons?? hilarious. absolutely ridiculous, and i COULD be angry about the nonsense of it all but in this particular case it just fucking sends me every time it crosses my mind.

What I love the most about AKOTSK is how they respect Egg as a person.

Obviously they have too. He's the main character, and there's not a story without him, the same way there's not a story without Dunk.

In Hotd, the kids barely matter. They have done a huge disservice to Joffrey, Aegon, Viserys and Jaehaera.

Joffrey is now Rhaenyra's heir, and I have seen people on social media admitting they honestly forgot about him. When in the books, he was ready to jump on his dragon and avenge Luce the moment they learned he died.

Aegon and Viserys were not there for Jace's death, and this was the major event in the story that changed their lives forever.

Jaehaera is barely mentioned, even though she's the last living child of team green.

Luce's and Jaehaerys' deaths were just plot points that they had to check off on their list.

They're just ornaments. They are not people that deserve recognition.

'They want to shield the kids from the violence!' I highly doubt it that Dex was in the same place as Peter was when 'beating' Finn or when Bertie turned around and revealed that massive hole on his head.
