This was originally made for the vgen monthly challenge, but I actually got approved on Instagram before I finished this, so it's just for my own sake now. The OC featured is Kaiyin, my girlfailure who probably means the most to me (yes above lovel woahh [but meaning and favourite are two different things]), and I would love to expand upon her and her universe—one of the few that are non-yandere focused (but similar themes are featured in a bad route)—more in the future after Sweet Talk and other projects :)
Thanks to my cool friends for introducing me to artfight, and also everyone on the site is super cool and nice!! I'm super grateful for all the attacks I received I will eat them all for dinner...
And back to the content mines I go. I know I said I'd write something next and while I do have an idea, I think I'd first like to make a goal of completing atleast some short tiktok attention span animation so I can get in some practice before uni starts up again (shivers)
Only small thing but I'm finally finished redoing the title screen yayyy I wanted to change it bc 1. It was ugly 2. I needed to animate it to look good but I didn't wanna animate 3. It was ugly. This one will still require work cause I need to figure out how to change the title screen after getting an ending but atleast it's not animation 🙏 honestly I spent way more time on the board than I should've cause I genuinely wrote lore stuff on most of the papers and then shrinked-enlarged it until it was illegible anyways 😭😭
Things moving slow cause before I was fleshing out the worldbuilding in order to help me make the board, and now I'm mostly focusing on art fight this month!! Actually here's my artfight profile LOL
I wanna brush up on my writing so I'll probably be working on story or like a oneshot or something in between artfight attacks... it would also help me differentiate character voices in the cast, I'm always worried about mischaracterizing my own ocs 😭

I've always admired artists who could draw big, teeth-ey mouths and hella expressive faces because whenever I try to do it I cringe real bad (it almost feels as if IM making those expressions, does anyone else feel that way???) I need to draw tweaked out sprites so I'm trying to push myself to draw faces that are allowed to be a little ugly for expressiveness (drawing messy too, I want my art to look less squeaky clinical and more death metal brain scratching)
I finished my first year of uni and I needed a break, but now I'm trying to slowly get back into the swing of things 🥹 lazy noncommittal sketches with the most basic repetitive ahh poses for the soul
This has been sitting in IBIS Paint for. many months because I started colouring and could not figure out how to 😭😭 I am still not happy with the colouring and I rushed it a lot but I will take it as a learning lesson and experiment with more yan characters (my laundry list of victims after spending so long on this)
