New year's eve at the Buddhist temple in Sisaket. The white cords represent an unbroken line of attention and blessing. A symbolic connection to each other, the monks and the buddha.

It happened so often that random people would invite me to their gathering just because i was there. Had a lovely time exchanging gifts (in my case money) secret santa style with people in Sisaket on new year's eve. In SE Asia hospitality is much less conditional. If you are there you are in.

My (self-described) ladyboy friend i met on Tinder drove me from Korat to Buriram and introduced me to her lovely friends, one of whom was the manager at the 'Amsterram' bar. I asked if it was a play on Buriram but they said it was just spelled wrong.

Tawang Daeng Mahason in Buriram is a big nightclub that has live performances of modern Molam and dj's playing the type of EDM that you hear all over SE Asia. No entrance fee. You get your own table and the food is not too shabby either. Farang was paying of course.
