     The girl’s lips drew into a delicate smile as crimson eyes met with her mother’s. Chaotic dark locks splayed haphazardly across her face, freed from the usual confines of her forehead protector.

     Long days of traveling had felt as if the mission would never end, but regardless it was an enormous relief to be back in the Leaf Village, to be home with her family. Traveling with Guy Sensei and the Rokudaime was tiresome, to say the least, but that didn’t stop Mirai from worrying about her mother.
