“You don’t have to accept it,” Hannah shrugged. “I guess I’ve just kind of buried the anger since he’s sort of all we’ve got left. That and Val and Lo would never understand. They’d make us out to be monsters. God forbid we have feelings different than theirs,” she sighed. “But hey, you’re not alone. I understand. And I know how much it sucks.”

“Just.. don’t me, Han. I just felt the need to rant about it at least once in my life.” Sasha held her hands as she took a sigh. “As much as I wanted to be okay ith it, I know it’ll take so much time. But at least, right?” She said with a half smile.

When the door opened all of a sudden Valentina let the clothes she’d just picked up fall to the floor again. Before she could even react she felt Sasha’s arms around herself. “You- oh.” She let out as she figured what Sasha was talking about and quickly returned the hug. “Did Logan tell you?”

“Yeah.” Sasha pulled away as she let out a deep sigh. “I’m sorry, Tina.” She brushed her hair off from the face, letting out a half smile. Sasha was the most sensitive one among the Callaghan siblings. Ever since their family’s tragedy, she took all the responsibility and that made her very protective of them. “Are you feeling better now?”

I also showered so give me a break.” Krea punched her arm playfully. “Just wait until we get there and you’ll see everything have they to offer.” Standing up he look towards the door and then back at Sasha, “Are you ready to go or are you going to make another joke about how long I took?”

“Erhm-” A smile grew upon her lips. “I’m excited and nervous at the same time. I mean, what if I can’t take such alcohol? I don’t know. Bloody hell! Just make sure I’ll be okay.” She said, sounding worried. “Let’s go, the night’s been waiting for us to have fun.” She chuckled as she pulled him playfully.

Once he laid eyes on her Kreaton couldn’t but smile,“You look lovely and it only took my 45 minutes plus I had to do my hair. ” He corrected with a smirk. “So the car should be waiting for us and it’s ready when ever you are.” Inviting himself on her bed Kreaton redlined until he faced the ceiling letting out a small yawn.“ Are you excited because I think you’ll like love this place.”

“Really? Thanks. I dressed up in a rush just ‘cause I thought you’d only be taking a few minutes since you’re a guy. I mean, guys don’t take that long to prepare, right?” Sasha chuckled lightly. “I’m excited to try the bar’s drink specialties. Hope they won’t disappoint me.” She said as she followed his directions.

The Old Sport || Kreaton & Sasha

When Kreaton had finally begun to settle down in life during his junior year in college him and some friends discovered a bar. The only difference was the owner of this bar had to be a true history nerd everything was modeled after the prohibition era and there was a passcode to get into the main attraction of the place. The bar was called Old Sport and Kreaton save his visits here for special occasions and anyone over twenty-one drinking for the first time was special enough. Of course, the Old Sport seemed like the perfect bar Sasha as well and he hoped she would take a liking to it. Kreaton being around Sasha and it was seldom he felt that way towards females, especially in a romantic way. In his room, the male hopped in his shower got ready as he normally did combing back his hair and spraying a few more pumps of cologne than usual. Kreaton threw on a pair of dress slack and a polo along with a sports jacket and headed for Sasha’s door. With a  knock he called out “I hope you’re ready because I know I took at least half an hour.”

Back when Sasha was in college, she did not get to enjoy it the usual way; drinking and partying. She used to drown herself with books as she was into academics and an achiever. Drinking and partying would be the least thing she would do for fun. However, Sasha had a taste of classical alcohol like champagne and wine during award nights. As she already got herself ready, Sasha heard Kreaton spoke outside. “You actually took... an hour already.” She opened the door and gave him a smile. “Hey.”

“A display?” He asked with a slightly amused look, “Speak for yourself, we get on pretty well normally we listen to each other normally. I can’t remember we fought for more than an hour or so.” He shrugged, Logan chewed the side of his lip at her, “yeah, I figured she or someone would tell you. She’s fine. Some guy who’s been bothering her just started hitting her.” He said a flash of what could only be described as rage in his features before he shook it off hurriedly. A sympathetic look took over his face leaning back in his seat running his hand through his hair. “I know it hurts, Sash but- well you’re not going to like this but, we need to move on. We can’t be dredging it up every damn year. It’s not like we’re ever going to forget.” He said softly. “Can we not just all be together without anything planned? You know it’s hard on him as it is.”

“That’s because Hannah still has respect for the both of us, I guess?” Sasha chuckled lightly, leaning back in her seat. “I’m just going to check her later. Does anyone know who was the guy? Any news about that?” Sasha knew the conversation would turn into a solemn one whenever they talk about their parents. The twins rather not talk about it just to avoid arguing with each other, but since they grew up and should have understood everything, they couldn’t just dodge all of it. “It still hurts, Lo. Ever since mom died, we were the one who took care of the family. He wasn’t there to lift us up emotionally. I tried so hard to reach him out for comfort but he refused and continued to be cold-hearted. How am I supposed to move on from that? To forget all the pain?” She said, her voice cracking up.

Hannah frowned a bit. “That’s not your fault, Sash. It’s on him, not you. Everyone gets that losing your wife and being left to raise four children alone isn’t easy but, I don’t know. I just think there were a hundred things he should’ve done differently. And that’s not on you. He just gets…weird when it comes to that and it’s annoying. You’ve just gotta do what we’ve learned to do for nearly twenty years to survive in this family–pretend she never existed. Seems to me like that’s what he wants.”

“I wanted to understand him, what he’s going through. But nothing compared to the pain we all felt when mom died. As much as I wanted to be okay with it, accept it, I still feel how horrible my life has become because of his negligence.” She said with a frown. “That I cannot do, despite every bullshit he put us through he’s still our dad and I still love him, Han. I just- don’t wanna plan everything out yet.”

It has been a stressful week for Sasha since she got out, but she believed she needed to stay in the house a little longer. After her conversation with Logan and heard what happened with Val, she quickly went upstairs to check her. Sasha did not even bother to knock, she opened the door and rushed to the girl for a tight hug. “I heard.” She said softly.

“I mean being drowned would be way less painful than whatever Hannah… You know what let’s not get into this.” He nodded, “I don’t think it will either.” Kreaton nodded standing up, “Okay well it may take me like 45 minutes because I need to shower but I’ll head to your room when I’m ready. Sounds good?”

Sasha chuckled from his statement. “My preparation will just be a quickie. I’ll wait for you in my room, then.” She said with a smile before turning her back.

“If they bite me then I’ll but back, but let’s just hope never comes to that.” He joked continuing to smile. “You’ll be fine, I doubt one night out will turn you into an alcoholic.” He paused, “We can go out tonight or right now if you want but you do have to dress up a bit. Like semi-formal attire and make it a bit retro if you’re able to.

“Oh, they wouldn’t bite you. Maybe just drag you into the pool or something.” She chuckled lightly. “I’ll never be one 'cause I won’t let that happen.” She said, a smile grew upon her lips. “Okay, sure. Just give me half an hour to change, is that okay?”

“I’m sure if you came back with a scratch all of your siblings would be on my ass. “ Kreaton’s smirk grew into a smile. “Hey you know writing is a lot more interesting when alchol is involved you’ll definitley want to write about this place for your blog or paper.” He paused, “So are you down for going out tonight?”

“Don’t worry, they’re not that aggressive. I mean, Hannah can be a little too much sometimes.” Sasha chuckled lightly. “I’m afraid I could do that. Coffee is way lot better with writing than alcohol. That’s my opinion, no offense.” She nudged him playfully. “Of course, I’m so down for it. Where are we heading tonight?”

Logan smirked laughing a little “Well yeah, be watchable, but don’t act no.” He said his smirk growing a little “so yeah, everyone is as stupid as they seem.” Logan rolled his eyes holding his hands up in defense. “I’ll stop going at her when she stops coming at me. I’m not making lying down because it’s an inconvenience to not be talking to her. She needs to grow the hell up already.” Logan bit his lip his face dropping a bit, “Sash, she was attacked last weekend. By a guy, in the street.” He said softly, “did you really not here anything?” Frowning again concern running over his features he raised a single brow. “He’s always been busy, Sasha. Since we were born it’s not like it’s unusual.”

“Whatever, I’ll never get the sense of it. So, I’d rather be just a display.” Sasha cocked a brow with a chuckle. “You know that’s the least thing Hannah would do. Neither of us can handle her, but oh at least she listens to what I say sometimes. I mean, how fortunate I am as a sister to her right?” She chuckled, shrugging. “I-I didn’t know. I was out for some work emergency. No one even bothered to tell me!?” Sasha widened her eyes as her tone went a little high. “Is she okay now?” She asked softly. “It’s very unusual to me since we had an argument about making plans for mom’s death anniversary. I just.. I’m not yet ready to let it all go, Lo.”
