tonetag conversation continues to irritate the shit out of me. 'i just dont see why its needed when you can just clarify in your statement that you are being serious or joking' bc some people dont want to type all that shit out when slash j or whatever is easier. i personally dont use tonetags i dont feel the need but acting all aghast about it is silly. its a qol of life thing for disabled people. thats all. if someone tries to shame you for not using them you can block them, but like. it goes both ways. if someone makes a request that you accommodate them, and you don't feel you can, they too can block you. and again. i dont use tonetags. im just saying like. pretending there's no use for them, for some people, is like saying erm who neeeeeeeds a dishwasher just do it by hand. do you really neeeeeeeeeeeeeed that cane. well presumably some people do
The really unfortunate thing about mental health progress is that sometimes you realize you've made it in the form of "wow, I haven't felt this bad in a fucking while"
On the one hand it's a bit of a pick me up in a dark place to know that this will pass because it has passed before on the other hand sometimes it isn't entirely a pleasant thought to go "wow, I used to feel like this all the time. That was pretty fucking bad. It's pretty bad right now too also."
Someday your current baseline will be the sort of thing you consider A Really Bad Day. It does get better.
Also the day will come when you realize that whatever you're currently going through that sucks is a thing that once would have made you want to kill yourself.
You will get more resilient, and that doesn't mean "you'll learn how to suffer in silence," it means "the day will come when your brain lets out an aggravated sigh and goes 'this again? Okay, take your places, let's review' instead of screaming in unbearable pain."
i passed out on the shitter today #winningatlife

this post and all its wonderful additions (look in the notes) is circulating again. these photos and many of the ones added in the notes come from the US Southwest.
right now the trump administration is attacking the public lands in the Southwestern US. most recently (July 2026), in Utah the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments have been cut by over 90% to allow for mining. these lands are sacred to multiple Native nations in the area and contain irreplaceable archeological sites. additionally, the commission of Native representatives who aided in management of these lands has been dissolved leaving Native people without a voice in caring for the remaining land. (read more here)
here in New Mexico, the 10 mile buffer zone surrounding Chaco Canyon preventing oil and gas drilling is under attack. Chaco Canyon contains incredibly old and incredibly fragile archeological sites sacred to Pueblo people. these sites are threatened by mining and drilling. (read more here)
The attack on the Chaco buffer zone is currently in a public comment period open until July 29. PLEASE leave a public comment to save these irreplaceable places.
This one really does just gain momentum with every new word, huh?
