Jaxon Sterling was neutered today! As many of you know, neutering is easy and affordable. Foster mom Melissa dropped Jax off at Central Animal Hospital this morning at 8:30am. He was out of surgery by 10:30am! The front desk called and told us Jax did well during the surgery and could be picked up between 2 and 6pm. Jax is now back in his foster home and resting well. Meet RUTH Ruth is an 8 year old, 9#, Shih Tzu. She is charcoal in color with medium length hair. She was rescued from Animal Control, Like most Shih Tzus, she suffers from dry eyes. (Just like Jen Aniston) 😀 Her previous owners neglected to put drops which are readily available from any pharmacy, in her eyes resulting in the corneas drying out and blindness in one of her eyes, as well as limited sight in the other. She is now on prescription drops every day and is responding well. She is a happy, healthy, little sprite who loves to curl up in a cushy dog bed. Meet LUKE Luke, at 7 months, is a big boy and we expect his adult weight to be between 50 and 60 pounds. He is very calm and laid back. Once he feels comfortable with you he is a snuggle bug. He is playful and another dog companion in the home would be nice but not necessary. He also gets along very well with older children but may be overwhelmed at first in a home with very active young children. He has not been around cats. A secure fenced yard is necessary. Luke is current on age appropriate vaccines and is working on his house training. He is good in a car but needs additional training walking on a leash. Tag a Tortie Lover! This girl has personality and then some 🤗 Meet Reese Reese oozes love and affection, and purrs the moment you walk into the room. She would be a wonderful ESA (Emotional Support Animal). She walked into our home and immediately helped herself to each and every cat toy she could find. She was in heaven and played non-stop. She is very relaxed and comfortable in her own skin, as you can see by the photo of her sleeping on her back! She knows no strangers and instantly made herself at home. Although she has not been introduced to dogs, I am confident she will not be one bit intimidated by a dog, regardless of the size!
