Yoga in your in-law’s
You have maybe 5 minutes of your own time (living with in-laws with your toddler), but you have to make time.. find it, escape in it.
My (momentary) time is dedicated to standing up straight, hands straight up “mountain pose” and taking the time to breathe. Usually after doing the dishes.
Whether I get a succession of two or three more deep breaths is not a guarantee but the ones I take I get to enjoy.
Living with my father in-law has allowed me to realize yoga is not “just” for everyone, it HAS TO BE within everyone’s mental grasp, and there are a lot of people who won’t ever let anyone “tell them what to do” ie “take a deep breath.” Ridiculous as it sounds, it’s true. Consider the generations before yours, yoga to them could be a foreign affair they could never envision their current state bodies to lean into.
And that’s my challenge: how Can I get this relAxing lifestyle to “the people” who have stifled their own physical flexibility for decades? A mentality that has never given much thought to deep breathing and never given any value to it, childs pose, let alone a simple mountain pose.
But they sit.. and that’s a starting point.

Sometimes art speaks to me
Learning to walk again
After a complete ACL reconstruction, it was something to have to re learn how to walk with a normal gait. One of the hardest things I’ve had to go through, and I have the hopefully-not permanent angry line between my brows to remind me. After almost a year and a half I got there and then, when things were finally back to a regular speed for me, I busted my ankle. This is where the need for a self-healing mindset came upon... how could I feel the relief in my tiny muscles in my ankles knees and hips? I’ll probably need to rename some of the names of some of my massage techniques as “self-healing” is a big claim... but the jist of it has me applying the same methods for wrist pain, lower back pain, neck pain, and the dredded c-section scar pain.
Yogainyourchair, a misnomer, videos coming soon.
After the Rainbow
Pepper went across the rainbow bridge at almost 15, what a good life especially toward the end when we got you an RV and camped out in joshua tree and big bear lake. Good times little poodle, may your soft curly little black hair rest happily over there. As for the happenings here, I need to get back onto YogainYourChair not just for Pepper, for anyone who wants a more comfortable and happier life without aches and pains. Coming soon!

I love being in the hairdressing industry. Although I felt brutally beaten down when figuring out I get charged the Highest 25% tax bracket as now "self employed" but I got over it (& crooked broken down systems) and realized something. This year I add color to my life and services, and it's already opening up my world to all the possibilities. A true journey of changing careers, even at half the earnings, though gut- wrenching is all worth the challenges. Some say the most financially trying times really are the best times in our lives so I'm going I enjoy all this character building transition and look forward to all the potential growth.... honestlyt, it is already happening.

Love our Oceans and it will Balance our world
Another way to present the 9 types of intelligence as exemplified by my How Do We Measure Intelligence post.
The basic idea is that different people are good at different things. These 9 probably don’t cover the wide range of smarts we all possess, but it’s a start.
As Albert Einstein said, ”Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

SHARE if you agree! By year’s end, Congress must decide whether to continue helping the clean energy sector or prolong our dependence on dirty fuels that harm our health and environment by shelling out billions to Big Oil and other polluters. Act now before it’s too late! http://bit.ly/1bWzDmN
It's going to be with the help of Pepper, my 12 year old toy poodle, that we will change the way we live in this universe; "we" as in, you - me - everyone - and especially anyone who wants to live a pain-free life. He and I are dedicated to fighting arthritis through prevention and through this happy journey we are encountering the corrupt flaws of our many broke-down systems and thoughts.
My obsession with the moon exactly.
Aging gracefully, wisdom in Prevention
Going gray is more internal than external. Mr. Pepper, my 12 year old black (but now salt & peppery) toy poodle, has been in somewhat denial of the common age old tell tale signs of ...aging. Now, to find the tact to address and prevent common ailments in the senior years.
