A moment of light during the siege
It really does feel like that
Check out my ongoing comic Crow Time. It has crows, and also neat pantheons of epic beasties.
when i don’t like a female character on a tv show i treat it like homework. like i know she’s right. i’m the problem. i just have to try harder
i love all the people saying they blame male writers. you know her heart. you know this isn’t her. it’s a man

A conversation I eavesdropped on the bus today, between a woman and a child
woman: so what was the writing assignment about? child: we got to choose our own subject. woman: but what did you write about? child: a truck that kills people. woman: noooo :( woman: Maybe next time you can write 'my day with grandma' :) child: no.

People will literally see a sage green building and be like "what if it was white" 🙄
People will literally see a unique little house and be like "what if it had beige vinyl siding" 🤢
People will literally see a gorgeous Victorian painted lady house and be like "what if we knock it down and make it a carwash" 🤮
People will literally decide to build a community center for their town and then be like "what if it looked like a prison" 👹
People will literally see a mom and pop store going out of business and be like "what if we had a 3rd Dunkin Donuts there" 💀
People will literally see a vacant lot and be like "what if we had 6th dollar store there" 🤑
People will literally see a 40 year old bowling alley and be like "what if it was storage units" 😵💫

The thing about gig economy delivery work is that when it pays decently it's actually really satisfying. Like yes I do want to choose my own working hours. I love being paid to simply ride around and carry things from A to B. I like the view of the city I get while doing deliveries. Sometimes in between orders I'll talk to the homeless people and buy them food or cigarettes or bus tickets. Sometimes I'll see a cop talking to a driver and I'll stop and hang around so they know there's witnesses. I'm providing multiple valuable services to the city.
