OFFF — Typographic Artwork
Artwork for the 2016 OFFF book Archetype — a collection of words, concepts, ideas, thoughts, images and emotions from over 100 practicing artists and designers.
Our piece is an extract from a letter written in 1965 by American artist Sol LeWitt to fellow artist and close friend Eva Hesse. During a period of self-doubt and creative block Eva received an emotive and inspirational letter of advice from Sol, copies of which have since inspired artists the world over.
The words have also been brought to life in an awe-inspiring reading as part of a series called Letters Live, which can be viewed here: Nowness: Letters Live

Transport for London — 100 Years of Johnston Poster
Transport for London invited us to create a poster (alongside 10 other artists and studios) celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Johnston Typeface.
Our poster draws inspiration from the book Writing & illuminating, & lettering written by Edward Johnston in 1906. The extract describes how quality is always recognised, despite any ‘practical’ reasons heard in favour of quantity, whilst a timeline made up of 100 dots (including the two gold ones) guides you through the text.
The full series will be exhibited at a show called The Language of London at the KK Outlet during the last two weeks of May. Posters are available to buy from the London Transport Museum shop and during Clerkenwell Design Week, which runs 24—26th May.
