This Sagittarius New Moon is extra special for a few reasons... We now have the sun, moon, mercury in retrograde, Venus and Saturn all in Sagittarius. Sagittarius, the philosophical explorer, influences these planets in their respective aspects... all now under the spell of this mutable fiery sign, it’s time to stretch the limit. The sun pushes us to broaden our intellectual horizons and seek out adventure. Mercury insists we reflect on the past. Which allows Saturn to help us recognize lessons and patterns we don’t want repeated. Indulge in the truth, but let’s not be tooooo extra. Truth hurts, but the pain won’t seem so scary. In order to push your limits, you must establish healthy boundaries. Success is earned. Put in what you want to get out. The new moon is the perfect time for new beginnings, planting new seeds. Clear Quartz: the “Master Healer” is a powerful stone able to heal issues at the physical, emotional, mental, and soul level. Heals, energizes, cleanses aura of negativity, and enhances psychic abilities. Activates the crown chakra and balances all others in need of alignment. Petrified/Fossilized Dinosaur Bone: related to the root chakra and associated with the past, this stone is considered an excellent stone for past life work. Enhances memory and increase energy. Today in History:

Did you know in 1962 NASA's Mariner 2 was the first spacecraft to fly by Venus? Despite obstacles it faced during its launch in August, on this day, December 14th, the mission got as close as 34, 773 kilometers (21 607 miles) to Venus, making it the first spacecraft to successfully encounter another planet!

Thought of as the goddess of love and beauty, Venus is also the ruling planet of Taurus and Libra, and relates to the second and seventh houses. In astrology it represents one's capacity to attract people/things one loves and values. It attracts relationships, social urges, partnerships, cooperation, aesthetics, charm, art, elegance, balance, symmetry, grace, and harmony. Overindulgence in Venus' power may result in self indulgence, vanity, or even laziness. However when used skillfully, these energies can yield beautiful, refined, harmonizing results.

Drowning: “I am the one who... fears judgement.”

Change is not easy. People will doubt you, judge you, fear you. These obstacles are not to be avoided. Recognize your inner foundation and amplify that strength. It is these doubts and fears that must be embraced, in order for transformation to occur. It’s not always in the big obvious changes. Guyaman’s Perspective reminds us there are infinite ways to see the same thing. Perhaps transformations have already begun unnoticed. Change your perspective, and you might see your world has already changed.

Moon Enters Scorpio

Now that we know the moon governs our emotions, intuition, and daily habits, let’s take a look at what the sign of Scorpio entails.

All signs are made up of four basic building blocks; polarity, element, modality, and orientation.

Scorpio is a Fixed Water, Yin, Interpersonal sign.

It’s fixed modality allows it to carry concentrating, stabilizing, preserving, conserving, powerful energies. However, it can also yield stubbornness, obsessiveness, or retentiveness.

Being a water sign, Scorpio’s elemental tendencies involve nurturing, providing, and fulfilling the need to stabilize emotional security. Truths can also be a bit mysterious or even hidden under the influence of this sign.

This emotional, sensitive, flowing sign contains a natural introverted yet magnetic essence, due to its “Yin” polarity. This energy results in an ingoing, receptive, right-brained intuition.

With an interpersonal orientation, all of this fixed fluid energy is directed toward others and the social side of things.

Though associated with the scorpion, imagine Scorpio energy as a Healer displaying a melting ice crystal. Scorpio is all about the need for deep involvements and intense transformations.

It allows love to grow, and remain determined with a positive attitude. It’s passionate vibrations calm anger and resentment, enabling you to keep a level head and calm mind. This particular quartz is good for restoring trust and instilling unconditional love. It creates a deep inner feeling of peace. Also provides calmness in times of grief. 

Onyx: Also associated with the Root Chakra and Scorpio, this is a strong grounding stone and a powerful protector. Onyx centers and aligns one’s self and being in order to facilitate connection with a higher power. Wearing onyx can help keep instincts sharp and tempers soothed. While grounding and stabilizing emotions, it deflects negativity and nightmares. Provides support in times of grief. Be sure to give it a good cleanse if used regularly.

Leopardskin Jasper: Known as the “supreme nurturer,” offers tranquility and wholeness to those in need of support. This stone can calm nervousness, sustain inner power, and encourage vitality. It stabilizes the aura and attracts harmonious vibes, constructive for self healing. While absorbing negativity and protecting you from harms way, especially during travel, use this stone to help you organize, imagine, and endure. Throughout history it has connected individuals to the animal kingdom, facilitating communication between Shamans and their power animals. 

Botswana Agate: Comprised of Chalcedony and Quartz, this stone provides a strong calm with the ability to cleanse and purify too. This particular agate stone balances emotional, physical, and intellectual energy by stabilizing and strengthening one’s self. It’s soft, slow vibrations offer comfort and warmth, and can alleviate destructive thought patterns. Moon Enters Libra... 5:01AM (GMT)

The moon is responsible for your emotions, feelings, and day to day habits. When this satellite enters into Libra’s domain, it creates the perfect environment to strive for that much needed balance in your life. Libra is a cardinal air sign, with a positive polarity giving it an outgoing, mental and communicative action. You might even find yourself setting aside your own feelings for the sake of creating harmony and balance in those close to you. Libra also is related to the Seventh House of partnerships. Though a social sign, this moons transit can’t handle over doing it. Instead of getting the old gang together, buddy up with your most trusted companion, and work on seeing the beauty in one another. Careful not to come off too forward, now is not the time for confrontation. Instead, take the time to make a decision after considering multiple perspectives. Invite hesitation, good things are worth the wait. With your inner circle balanced, allow others to show you the image you put forth into the world. Use this mirror to examine yourself, find the beauty in every crack and crevice, and channel your inner harmonious being to get going on whatever project has been waiting for you.. writing, a presentation, tidying up your workspace, etc. Keep in mind Libra is all about balance, get a healthy alternation going between work and play. Today’s crystals are my personal favorites for relieving headaches, backaches, and neck aches!

Petrified Wood: Containing the properties of quartz, this stone transforms pain into strength. Connected to the earth, along with the Root and Third Eye chakras, this helps create a strong & grounded foundation. It teaches patience, steadiness, and grounds one to the physical world, creating a safe and secure environment. Good for vitality and self improvement. Associated healing with the skeletal system and spine.

Amethyst: “Nature’s Tranquilizer” cleanses and soothes the aura while protecting one from negative outside forces. Reduces negative tendencies and diminishes destructive habits. Promotes peace and finds balance. Aids with insomnia, promotes a peaceful sleep, strengthens immune system, diminishes pain, bruising and swelling. Helps mitigate psychical tension headaches and soothes headaches related to stress. Harmonizes the Third Eye and Crown chakras.

Chrysocolla: Opens and stimulates the throat chakra, allowing you to communicate inner wisdom efficiently. Blue Lace Agate: Also known as the Diplomatic stone, like the diplomat of Libra, this stone is associated with the Throat chakra. It effectively dissolves doubt while allowing self acceptance to develop. Its calming vibrations help uplift and elevate. By removing blockages, pain is reduced. Used to strengthen skeletal structure, mend breaks in bones, alleviate tension headaches, and reduce minor fevers.

Petalite: Enhances psychic development and connection to spiritual world. Destroys negative energy and calms the aura. Associated with the heart and crown chakra, this stone is excellent for achieving a serene meditative state. Used to relieve muscle spasm and tension as well as intestinal issues.
