This is the funniest thing ever. Who would’ve thought that I would ever buy chocolates and write a letter to Naginata Shou. Remember me? We were in the same class back in High School. Ken, the small guy that sat behind you and complained that I couldn’t see the board? Yep, that’s me!

You sure grew up even more… I watched a couple of your stuff and though you’re often in the second row, I can totally see you. You live up to your giant nickname, don’t you?

Anyway, I just felt like writing to you. Sure, I could’ve just sent an email or something like that. But it feels like I’m acknowledging the popular guy you’ve become by doing this. Also, it’s like encouraging you right?

It’s funny that I saw you, ‘cause not so long ago I wondered what you guys all became. High School feels like it ended ages ago. I’m married with kids, now… time sure flies, doesn’t it? We should meet up with the guys one of these days. If you’re ever free, of course!

Yeah I remember you. I was going to start this like a normal letter but nah. Too lazy. Yeah totally shocking. Small Ken sending me chocolate. Your complaints were amusing. The teacher ended up moving me to the back of the classroom after all the complaints but hey, I was cool with that.

I grew even more? Well I didn’t grow that much. I just…am in a group where everyone else is shorter. Lol.

Yeah. Email Is easier but thanks for doing this though. It means a lot. Very encouraging.

High school does feel so long ago. You’re married? Are you married to that chick you stared at all the time? She was cute. But anyways, I’m happy for you. Yeah we should meet up for drinks with the guys. I usually have some free time.

Acting fake || Solo

Part of the acting group. It was like he wasn’t special at all. He only had one radio show and it seemed like all the other members were more popular and that kinda made Shou a bit sad. As he waited for their turn in the new show, he lost himself in his thoughts. He had talents. He had skills. He plastered a smile on his face and started practicing.

He laughed as he practiced his lines getting lost in his thoughts again as he read his lines. He was always thinking and being older than the others ensured him lots of time to think. Maybe this was the wrong career choice. He hummed as the PD directed everyone else to their spots since he was already in his spot. Filming would start soon again and that smile would simply stay there on his face until he was ready to relax again.

it was strange as he watched his group mates act. It was all so new and yet so frustrating to Shou. Of course he responded to all his cues but his heart wasn’t in it. When filming was done, Shou grabbed his backpack and went back to the dorms refusing to stay for any after events. He needed to think more on this decision and while he felt in the beginning that becoming an idol was the way to go, he was starting to second guess it.

Call me crazy but I think I have fallen in love with the coffee prince. People make fun of me because you’re much older than I am but I don’t care because age doesn’t matter when it comes to love, right?

PART 2

And suddenly, Hora Yosuke turned towards the first generation who had been sitting and watching the second generation and yelled: “Oy!! You think you get to only sit there and watch, you lazy buns!” Of course, his tone wasn’t serious and he was joking, still, a surprise was also awaiting the first generation. “Do they really deserve that?” He continued on a softer tone as he addressed his partner MC who shook her head. “I’m not sure…” She replied and stared at the members of first generation.

After a moment of silence, meant to heighten the tension, Hora talked again, on a serious tone. “Since the beginning, you all have been research students, but from today, there will be promotions with the creation of Team Blue!” Both MCs started clapping to congratulate the boys. Saito Azumi continued: “The first promotion is Arakawa Jin As the Captain! Congratulations!”

She gave a moment for Arakawa and the group to react before continuing. “Center is Komiyama Akihiro!” She barely paused before announcing the following name. “Co-center is Tezuka Masaaki!” This time, she didn’t continue to let the boys react. Saito then named all the members of the first generation one by one until the very last and finished with a last “Congratulations to all of you!”

Shou had worked so hard all tour to make a name for himself, and when he found himslef in the taping, he smiled at the camera and clapped supportingly for all the second generation memebers. They were all so cute and it was heartwarming for Shou. He may have been the oldest but he didn’t look like the oldest. He remembered that he was up there only mere months earlier and he smiled a bit as nostalgia hit him ever so slightly. Once the last new member introduced themselves, he offered the gen 2 members a sweet cheeky smile with a cute wink.

Turning his attention to the MCs, he focused on what they were saying with a chuckle, as soon as Hora Yusuke called them out on being lazy, Shou was just amused. What would be coming?

The announcement came.

Team Blue, with new co-centers Hiro and Masaaki. His name was announced almost last and Shou got a bit sad. He had worked so hard and yet, he was still stuck in the second row. He tried to cover it up with a smile and applause with the congratulations, but it did hurt a little more than a tiny bit. He had never been in the front row so being pushed back to the second row again, he felt bitter.

He had clapped Hiro’s back and hugged Masaaki in congratulations but his eyes hid a soft sadness.

He had wanted recognition. That was why he worked so hard on the tour and since debut. He wanted to make his fans proud of him... But it was okay. He could do better and do more next time.

after the tour was over Shou had noticed that he had grown in slight popularity. he was always on 2ch reading comments and always on his social media posting stuff and interacting with fans so that when he saw that he had to improve his dancing, or as a fan had put it, ‘shou same doesn’t need dancing. dancing needs him.’ , Shou hopped on that with a laugh.

he walked into the practice room and settled comfortably on the floor to stretch. he felt confident that practicing some of the moves for any of the songs would help him. he wanted to be good at everything. he didn’t hear the door open though and only noted the person who walked in when they threw their stuff down next to him.

“Practicing as well?”he asked with a grin.

“Inviting the fans would be awesome. And yes let’s do that. Ah by the way let’s take a selfie together later, to celebrate our first time on 42 Boys no Voice, together!” Omi winked short at Shou. “We need a contest or something like our great Senpai does. To show off their charming points. But I am sure we’ll get a lot of chances to show Minna our charming points.” Tapping his chin with his index while thinking. “This is a pretty difficult question you know. Hm!” Hiroomi thinks for a moment. “I didn’t talked much to everyone yet but to be honest. I guess it’s our Center. I wouldn’t say awkward but Hiro-san and I are rivals in one way since the trainings camp I guess.” Biting his inner-lip. “I’d like to talk more to him. And what about you? Smirking softly.

He nods in agreement. “Yes, let’s take a selfie to celebrate the fifth episode of 42 Boys No Voice! The fifth episode is the most awesome one because it’s Hiroomikun and I and we’re obviously the coolest members of the group!” he exclaimed, laughing. “We definately will get more chances to show off our charm! Yes, contests like our cute senpai does!” he grins, and winks back at Hiroomi. “Ah, have I thrown you for a loop?” he asks, chuckling. He nods and listens as Hiroomi talks. “Ah, Hiro-kun! I can see that!” he laughs. Thinking for a moment on his own reply, “Ah,...Akira-kun. We’re the oldest in group and so it’s kind of fun to tease him.” he says, nodding.

“You know i’ll help you to organize the meal if you want. We should celebrate our first tour no matter what.” his lips curl up into a bright smile. “Of course there is and please do you bets. We all do our bets to show everyone what we can do. And people should look forward to us. We do have a lot of potential and many different hobbies.” Hiroomi talks in a amused way. “Let’s do our best to become the best family ever.” he looks short at Shou.

He nods fast and smiles even more widely than possible. “That would be a lot of fun! Ah, I wish we could invite the fans to celebrate, but we’ll post tons of pictures on social media!” he exclaims, clapping. As Hiroomi spoke, Shou nodded in agreement.”Yes! we do have many talents and while, some of us haven’t shown off all of our talents, we hope that we may get more chances to show off our talents!” he says, chuckling. “Say, Hiroomikun, we do have a lot members in the group, is there anyone who you feel awkward with?”

Hiroomi doesn’t really want to talk about his soccer career but he couldn’t say his true reasons. “It looks like it does!” Nodding his head from time to time. “Oh that sounds great i would love to try some German food.” Omi chuckles amused. “And do you think you’ll ready to show off? But to be honest i don’t make it easy for you!” Laughing amused. “We are and i am glade i meat all of you guys. It’s like having a new team and family.”

Shou laughs softly. He can see that Hiroomi doesn’t want to talk soccer and decides not to pressure him. “Ah, well, when we finish the tour, I should for you all a celebratory meal to celebrate the great ending of a great first tour!” he states, smiling. “There is a lot of competition in the group, but I do think I have a chance to show off and you definitely don’t make it easy!” he laughs. “But, in all fairness, there’s a lot of talent in the group, so I’m glad to be a part of the group and yes, like you say, we are a team and a family!”

„I’d like to be the future Reus. And I don’t know but I think I’ll keep it as an important hobby of mine. Somehow my goals changed and I am more than happy and proud to be a part of BYS42!” He say with a calm and serious voice. “You did what? That’s amazing and you were in Germany before? Lucky you! How did it comes that you joined the auditions?” Looking straight at Shou in an interesting way. “Yeah! I guess I know what you mean. Isn’t it pretty cool that a lot of us got so many different hobbies. Aren’t we a really interesting group?” He laughs amused.

Shou nods in understanding. "goals change as we grow up. BYS42 for sure is great thing that happened to all of us!” he said, smiling. He laughs and shows his signature gummy smile. “Ne, I studied for a time in Germany. Got really fat off the food, because i Love great food! But I joined the auditons for BYS42 to prove that an old codger like me could still get in with a bunch of youngsters and show it off!” he explained, laughing. He nods in agreement with Hiroomi. “Yes, we are a pretty diverse group!”

Hiroomi laughs short. “I am sure we all will hinder you at doing this!” A short nod. “That’s right I am finished with all school stuff. After school I got scouted in a local soccer team here in Tokyo.” Rubbing his nape short. “What about you did you went to university?” Gazing amused at Shou. “I agree with begin sexy but what’s that cute thing here again? I guess Shou-nii tries to babying me her because he is older. A very charming guy. He’s a guy minna can look up to, ne.” “Good question! But I think I’ll let that up to your imagine. I can say that it happened back in High School with my soccer club, as you see I love soccer and I love action. Does Shou-nii has some hobbies? Maybe some wild hobbies?”

Shou laughs loudly. “Ne, you can try to hinder me but I will ruin all the images of the BYS42 members!” clapping softly, Shou grins. “So, we have a future Neymar or Messi in the group! Would you go on to do more proffesional soccer if BYS42 falls through? Or is there a new dream for our Hiroomi kun?” he laughs as the other compliments him. “Well, I studied Architecture and minored in Music at the Tokyo University as well as a foreign exchange program in Germany where I finished my courses!” he stated, laughing. “Wahhh ~ I am honored that I get called charming!” he nods as Hiroomi stays elusive about his wildness. “I do pride myself on my art skills, so I enjoy drawing and I love loveeee coffee, so you can possibly imagine what I did as the most wildest thing!” he laughs.

Lifting up one eyebrow. “What do you mean with adorable handsome? Do you want to ruin my image here?” Hiroomi let out an amused chuckle although he didn’t like that word at all. “I guess so because you are our Nii-san right. I’m sexy 23 years old what about you Shou-nii?” His view walked from Shou to the mic and back. “Na Minna would you believe me that our Shou-nii here. Begin all shy. That’s somehow pretty cute.” Hiroomi paused for a moment. “I bet he tries to seduce me.” With his cool calm husky voice he winked once to over to Shou trying to tease him a bit. “I wouldn’t have a problem with that. Also that’s how we are. Two gentleman in one room making the ladies go wild out there!”

He laughed as Hiroomi spoke. “You are adorable! I aim to shatter all images that we may hold in front of the fans.” he said laughing. “Ah, 23 years old. So, you must be done all your schooling, Hiroomi-kun!” he exclaimed. He laughed a bit as Hiroomi tried to tease him by calling him cute and winking. “Aigoo, minnasan, Omi kun is very interesting! He’s being both cute and sexy at the same time. I can see why you all like him so mucH!” he exclaimed, laughing. “On the topic of being wild, what is the wildest thing you’ve ever done?”

Akihiro was intimidated by Shou. Ever since he’d first seen him at the auditions, the younger boy barely had the courage to talk to him and let alone… try to get closer to him. It wasn’t mean intentioned, of course; every time Hiro told himself that “today is the day”, he chickened out and didn’t say anything. So they didn’t speak. Ever.

When the manager asked both of them to stay for a bit after the usual schedules, Hiro wasn’t so suspicious at first. It had happened before and would surely happen again; their manager was a meticulous person and would never hesitate to have a talk with the members if he felt the need to.

Shou asked if he did something wrong, which made Hiro feel slightly nervous. Was it about something bad? He couldn’t see what was his role in all of this so he stayed silent until the manager spoke. “I’ll cut right to the chase. You guys really need to spend some quality time together. Get to know each other. Become at least… cordial. It’s been a few months now, I don’t see what’s the problem. Do you hate each other or something?”

Hiro felt so bad. He immediately shook his head at the question. “No… no we don’t, Ashikaga-san.” He glanced at Shou, trying to see if the other male would discredit him. Not that he possibly could, right? Sure they didn’t talk, but they didn’t hate each other… or at least he didn’t…
