Hi! I don't know if you still see these, but I'd really like to know how you "carve" the cruxite dowels in your comic. I'm having the darnest time getting them to look like proper totems...

When I was making the Cruxite, I took the Base one (The one that’s literally a cylinder, and carved out a design on the side of it with the eraser, i then flipped it and carved out the same shape on the other side. The hard part was making it look more 3d by curving the highlights inside of it - One of the easier ways to do this, is to imagine that the highlights are in the same place, but just grow and shrink depending on how thick it is at that section.Anyways, I Stopped updating the comic a while ago for 2 reasons - Work took up all my free time and I didn’t have much time to draw anymore, and the second being that all the image links broke on the website I was hosting it on. I still have all of the original .PSD files, so if you need anything that was in the comic - scenery, screens (like the gristtorrent screen, or PC icons), just ask and you can have them

You extrude 1 (ONE) CRUXITE DOWEL from the CRUXTRUDER. You still have about THIRTEEN minutes left. You should probably hurry though anyway.

Klefki: Do something useful

Ok.

Lemonsprite: Hit Nick mildly hard to snap him out of his paralysis. Or he'll probably die

You PUSH NICK off of the BALCONY and into the YARD below to save him from being hit by the OGRES attack. The KEYSPADE spins out of control in another direction.

Klefki: Use Uberhigh Defense stats to-

Luna: suspect something is hunting you and pick up the pace

You KNOW that something is hunting you. You decided to pick up the pace quite some time ago, fighting something in a confined space isn't something you're prepared for. But the area around the RELAY STATION is relatively open.

Luna: Be brave and confront the robot with a strikingly familiar appearance

Oh god it's right behind you isn't it?

Nick: Look up

Oh.

So that's why there aren't any IMPS around your house anymore. They must've been scared off by whatever the hell this thing is.

You just stare at it, Paralyzed with fear for a few moments.

You also continue to fail to notice that CAPTCHA CARD on the sand down there behind you, that may have moved out of frame.

Ruby: Toss things into the Kernelsprite

You grab a bunch of random stuff and launch it at the KERNELSPRITE. The dastardly little bugger seems to be avoiding and dodging everything you throw at it though.

You waste about a minute of your precious time messing around with the KERNELSPRITE, The timer slowly continues to count down.

Luna: Sneak through the jungle like some sort of guy who calls himself the Big Boss

Unfortunately you didn't bring any CRATES or BOXES with you that you can hide under or sneak around in, You continue to be cautious though and keep quiet. Whatever this thing your GRANDFATHER was talking about is, it's probably extremely dangerous.

Nick: Make Klefki instead of anything remotely Useful

You combine your HOUSE KEY with your copy of POKEMON Y to make... A Kelfki Keychain?

At a cost of only 15 Candy Grist, you didn't really waste anything by making this, it looks pretty cool anyways.

It seems that this keychain has some kind of magical properties. It's currently hovering next to you, and has stolen your HOUSE KEY from your STRIFE DECK.

Nick: Make more Captcha Cards

You make a buttload of CAPTCHA CARDS in various different COLOURS, spending a total of FORTY (40) GRIST on them. These should be useful for making more items and storing more stuff in your SYLLADEX

After exhausting most of your GRIST CACHE, you decide to stop ALCHEMIZING for the moment. You should probably get back to  what you're supposed to be doing. Unfortunately you can't get to that ring in the sky yet as RUBY is currently trying to get into the game herself. You decide to kill some more IMPS and level up a bit until she gets back.

Speaking of IMPS, you haven't seen any in a while. They must've ran off after hearing how awesome you are. Or maybe LEMONSPRITE scared all of them off.

You wonder why It's got darker all of a sudden.

Clem: Find something heavy

Before you can find something to open the CRUXTRUDER with, Ruby climbs onto it and hits the LID with her guitar.

Luna: Advance

You head outside and into the FOREST. You'll need to keep a lookout for anything that moves, You don't want to lose your OTHER LEG here.

Nick: Alchemize!

You head out to the BALCONY; where the ALCHEMITER IS after punching a bunch of CARDS, and carving a tonne of TOTEMS.

Lemonsprite seems to have been out here waiting for you.

Holy crap that's a lot of GRIST down there. It seems that Lemonsprite's been eyebeaming IMPS all over the place whilst you've been messing around.

Lemonsprite: Collect Grist

You collect all of the GRIST lying around for NICK, Filling up his GRIST CACHE.

All of the remaining GRIST is collected by GRISTGUTTER and slowly distributed to all currently active players.

Nick: Combine Sledgehammer and Fallout Game

You make the "SUPER" SLEDGE

Apart from looking cool, This weapon only does a fraction more damage than the original SLEDGEHAMMER. It looks like it can launch things pretty far if you hit something with it though.

Nick: Combine Fallout Games, Glasses, and Iphone

You create the VAULT-TEC PiPHONE SHADES.

Now you can talk to your friends through PESTERCHUM and check your vitals at the same time. You might not be able to see whilst you're wearing these, but having a GEIGER COUNTER and BUILT-IN RADIO are upsides.

Nick: Combine Nintendo 2DS and Glasses

You create the 2DS GLASSES.

This one was fairly obvious after the previous thing you made. You can't see whilst wearing these either, But a wearable gaming system is pretty cool you think.

You decide to make a pair for LEMONSPRITE as well, In case  she wants to play later.

Nick: Combine Rose and Keyspade

You create the ROSEGUARD LOCKPICK at quite considerable GRIST LOSS.

You think this thing looks amazing! This Keyspade looks sharper and more threatening than the one you used to make it, It should probably be able to slay IMPS faster than the last one.

Nick: Combine Livingroom Landscape Wall Picture and Clothes

You create the HAWAIIAN GETUP.

You're not quite sure how you feel about this...

The shoes look better than the ones you have at the moment, But everything else is just an explosion of COLOR everywhere. You think you'll stick to your regular clothes for the moment, Maybe you'll wear this a little later, when you take a break and relax somewhere.

Nick: Combine HOUSEQUEST Game and Clothes

You create the ANDROMEDA ATTIRE.

You kind of like this you guess. It has quite a lot of purple on it though, and Moneybags McDouche has kind of ruined the color for you. You quite like the SHIRT though.

Nick: Combine First Aid Kit and Fallout Games

You create a MEDKIT, much like the FIRST AID BOXES from the games, It has a bunch of medical supplies inside of it in case you get hurt. You decide to put a bunch of stuff from the original FIRST AID KIT inside of it too, just so you don't run out.

Nick: Captchalogue a bunch of stuff

You decide to grab a bunch of stuff from your CUPBOARD to use for alchemizing later, You put it in the GREY BOX that contained one of your presents from earlier in order to SAVE SPACE in your INVENTORY.

You captchalogue the ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE in the STORAGE SECTION of your SYLLADEX.

Nick: Check Computer

You check the computer to see what this thing you just installed is.

This program seems to be able to show how much GRIST you currently have, as well as GRIST of OTHER PLAYERS. You assume that the RED spirograph is for RUBY, and the Blue one is probably CLEMs.

You currently have: 113 units of BUILD GRIST, 46 pieces of SHALE, 82 bits of CANDY GRIST, and 5 blocks of BUBBLEGUM.

You decide to grab a bunch of stuff around your room before heading to the ALCHEMITER to make a bunch of stuff

Ruby: Empty Sylladex

You decide to eject everything out of your SYLLADEX onto your BED. Besides the KEY, you're not sure why you grabbed half of this stuff in the first place.

Ruby: Grab the CARD and CD

You captchalogue the GRISTTORRENT CD and the PRE-PUNCHED CARD. A THIRD of your available cards get taken up immediately.

Ruby: Examine punched card.

You can kind of see what the object is through the holes. Is it a KITTEN? or some kind of STATUE?

Luna: Make haste! Grandpappy awaits!

You decide to head out immediately before anything happens. But first you decide to grab something with a bit more firepower than what you have already.

You don't normally take this gun out, due to the fact you can't fire it properly without being knocked back. But it should be useful if things get too hot to handle with your HUNTING RIFLE.

Nick: Grab then Install mysterious disc

You put away your IPHONE before CAPTCHALOGING the MYSTERIOUS CD. Your HOTKEY MODUS seems to be filling up rather quickly again, At least this time it's mainly stuff that actually has a use rather than RANDOM JUNK you found lying around your house.

Nick: Go get the first aid kit you keep in your house

You head into the BATHROOM and...

God dammit, You know that you were forgetting to do something. The BATHROOM and most likely, the KITCHEN are COMPLETELY FLOODED

You go to the SINK and turn the TAP off. Unsuprisingly, the water stops flooding the BATHROOM and is instead DRAINED through that hole into the floor to the KITCHEN.

You grab the FIRST AID KIT from behind the SHELF and CAPTCHALOGUE IT in your STORAGE SECTION. You figure that if you're going to be fighting more of these DRAGON IMPS, you might as well have some bandages on hand in case you get INJURED.

Nick: Return to room

You return to your BEDROOM. The first thing you notice is a CANDY STAINED copy of the SYLLADEX GUIDE, a BROKEN WINDOW, and a BOWLING BALL lodged in your BOOKCASE.

You really need to keep an eye on these things and make them stop MESSING WITH YOUR STUFF.

Nick: Find copy of FALLOUT and begin alchemizing immediately

you head over to your CLOSET, this is where you keep a bunch of your GAMES, MOVIES and CD's. A lot of them got packed into boxes as you had way too many to fit on the shelf though, and most of the others just got smashed to pieces by the BOWLING BALL. You decide to take a closer look

Nick: Install mysterious disk

You install the MYSTERIOUS DISC onto your COMPUTER, a strange WINDOW has popped up on the screen.

Luna: Read the note

Slight malfunction with prototype L

Require immediate assistance at coms base

It seems as though you'll have to delay playing this game, It's unlike your Grandfather to leave notes like this unless something extremely serious has occured. You'll need to get to the COMMUNICATION RELAY STATION before anything else happens.

Ruby: Enter the game already

YOU HAVEN'T EVEN OPENED THE CRUXTRUDER YET!

Just a few seconds ago, Clem deployed these two things on the ground next to you. Your ARRAY MODUS is full though, you'll need to get rid of some things before you can CAPTCHALOGUE anything else.

Taking an item before emptying your SYLLADEX will launch a item at random out of it to free up a card.

Nick: Just put it in your strife portfolio

You decide to grab the HAMMERKIND SPECIBUS anyways. your KEYKIND SPECIBUS is somehow placed inside of something called a STRIFE PORTFOLIO, along with your new HAMMERKIND one. It seems that they're created the instant you have more than one KIND ABSTRATA on you at once.

The SLEDGEHAMMER from the GARAGE seems to be inside of it. The IMP must've stole it from there whilst you were OUTSIDE, or up on the BALCONY earlier.

Nick: Check current Grist amount

You are currently unable to check the amount of GRIST you've accumulated as you have no way of checking it yourself. You suppose that you could always ask RUBY how much you have, but that seems too much of a hassle at the moment, considering that she's busy setting up the GAME in her house.

Maybe there's some kind of APPLICATION on the Client that you can use, or maybe something you can DOWNLOAD to check your current STATUS.

That sounds like a stupid idea. Although these things are made of CANDY... maybe, eating something that used to be alive just seconds ago seems a bit gross to you.

From where you're stood, it doesn't look very appetizing. It just looks like sludgy pink goo with chunks of pink flesh in it, and doesn't smell very nice either.

Maybe you'll clean this up later, Once you clean all of these IMPS out of your HOUSE.

Luna: Grab that stuff off the pedestal

You grab the JUMBLE OF SEPERATED MATERIALS off of the MATTER TRANSPOSER, Captchaloging them in one of your empty PHYSICAL CAPTCHA CARDS. You're not sure how this will be useful, but you don't want that ice melting and frying any circuits down here.

Luna: Ascend

You climb back UPSTAIRS and into your ROOM once more. Time to install that BETA.

Luna: Uncaptchalogue BETA

You put the BETA ENVELOPES on your COMPUTER WORKSPACE. They should be safe here for now. All you need to do is...

There seems to be a note attached to your COMPUTER MONITOR, That wasn't there when you went downstairs.

Someone must've been here.

Ruby: Deploy CD

You deploy the COMPACT DISC next to NICK.

Nick: Grab that Grist!

You scamper around the room and grab all of the grist in rapid succession, You have no idea how much you just got, but it should be quite a lot compared to what you had before.

You also notice a HAMMERKIND STRIFE SPECIBUS laying on the floor besides you. You're not exactly sure what will happen if you pick it up. Hammers are pretty cool, but you think you'll stick to keys for the moment, you probably don't have enough MANGRIT in order to wield something as heavy as that with ease anyways.

Nick: Be Clem

You are now Clem, you have just finished tidying your room a little after your puppy wrecked it. Most of the items that were on the floor have been stored in your PICTIONARY MODUS for later use, including the SBURB BETA SERVER DISC.

You see a notification pop up on your LAPTOP from across the room, someone is pestering you.

Clem: Answer

You then proceed to have this conversation we had just moments ago.

Clem: Connect as Rubys server player

You install the SBURB SERVER and run it, a strange screen pops up before connecting to RUBY through pesterchum.

Clem: Press Enter

Ruby: Get a move on already. Time is meteors

You rush over to your computer and turn it on. You hear some electronic whirring coming from inside of it as it slowly wakes back up.

After about a minute or so, your COMPUTER finally loads your DESKTOP. Everything explodes out all over it like a firework before resting where it belongs. You notice a small number 2 next to your Pesterchum icon, it seems that your friends must've tried to contact you whilst you were away.

Ruby: Answer Chums

You decide to see who's been contacting you since your power's been out and possibly answer them depending on what's relevant to your current situation.

Ruby: Pester Clem

Nick: Slay Imps in a less Noobish manner

You do a rare DOUBLE SOMERSAULT SONIC KEYSMASH and KO two dragon candy imps simultaneously, Lemonsprite EYEBEAMS the other imp, atomizing it immediately.

The IMPS drop various amounts of BUILD GRIST, SHALE and CANDY, as well as several small swirly cubes.

In addition to all of the GRIST you've collected, you also gain some EXP. and your OVERFLOW VIVACITY GAUGE is increased by several bars.

Nick: Level up again!

For slaying enemies in both the HALLWAY and FRONT ROOM, you climb to the rung MOTLEY DASHER.

You gain a generous boost to your GRIST CACHE and GEL VISCOSITY, as well as pocketing another 215 BOONDOLLARS!

You also get a new feather for your roguish hat that seems to only appear whenever you level up for some reason.

Ruby: Nab that pony

What pony? You're fairly sure that there has never been a pony in your house.

Ruby: Grab the box adressed to you

You grab the ORANGE BOX, From the looks of it, it appears to be a present from NICK. It was your birthday about two weeks ago now, maybe you forgot to open it? You CAPTCHALOGUE it in your ARRAY MODUS for now.

Ruby: Raid the closet for sweet loot

You decide to grab your GUITAR AMP whilst you're down here. Your dad CONFISCATED it a while ago after you turned it up to ELEVEN and may have broken some glass somewhere in the house. You CAPTCHALOGUE it in the final card of your ARRAY MODUS.

Ruby: Activate the generator already!

You plug the generator into the WALL OUTLET before turning it on. There should be enough electricity produced by this thing to keep your computer running for about an hour or two depending on how much fuel is left in the tank, it hasn't been refilled for quite a while.

Ruby: Return to room

You return to your room, the power should come on any second now, you just need to give the generator a little while to warm up. You also grabbed the WHIP that you launched earlier, storing it in your STRIFE DECK. You may not be able to use it to fight, but it may be useful for something else later.

The power flickers back on in your room. You will be to use your computer now, you should probably check on NICK to see what he's been up to, and also connect with a SERVER PLAYER to get into the game.

Hello, sorry not a command or anything, but is there any way to link to the beginning of the comic on the blog? I cant find anything and im not sure about scrolling down and reading it backwards 3

I edited the tumblr page so there’s a =>READ FROM THE BEGINNING button now, This will sort everything chronologically from the very start until the most recent update. I also updated the MSPFanventures link and Forum link in case you wanted to read them there instead

==> I suggest reading it on MSPFanventures, as it looks better than the TUMBLR or FORUMS mirrors, and it’s also the highest quality one - I can’t go back to change images/text on tumblr or the forums without breaking things

Your wish has been fulfilled by the magical storage box gods! Inside the storage box were also a bunch of GREEN CUBES, You decide to put them down on the floor before doing a silly little dance out of happiness.

CD : Be the architect, build your dream-city

You imagine a VIRIDIAN CITY of green buildings and blue skies. You are the most famous PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR in the town of BLOCKTOPOLIS. You are the CROWBAR DETECTIVE!

CD: Draw some roads for your city

With the last piece of WHITE CHALK, you draw out some roads for your city. You also stack up some of the GREEN CUBES so they look like TOWERS and BUILDINGS, scattering them around the room.

Before you get carried away, you quickly remember that there's a mystery to be solved. You need to find out what that PASSWORD is.

You turn off CAPS LOCK before you start entering things.

CD: INSERT PASSWORD 'CROWBAR'

Crowbar? 1, 2, 3... Yep, that's 7 Letters. That might be the password. You decide to enter it into the TERMINAL to see if it works. The crowbar helped you get into this place, so it might help you open another room too.

Unsurprisingly, the password doesn't work. You'll need to think of something else with SEVEN LETTERS that might be it.

Ruby: Examine storage room

But for now, we return to being RUBY

You are currently standing inside of the STORAGE ROOM. This is where your father keeps a bunch of MAINTENANCE SUPPLIES and the WASHING MACHINE along with one or two things he's CONFISCATED over the years.

At the back you see the BACKUP POWER GENERATOR. You'll need that in order to reconnect to NICK and then get yourself into the game before your house gets CRUSHED by falling ROCKS.

CD: Type => SWITCH 2

You type one of the listed commands into the COMPUTER using the KEYBOARD. The top-right screen flickers off and another one turns on. It seems quite heavily glitched, but you think you can make out the shape of a house behind all the distortion.

You try typing something in using the KEYBOARD, but it appears you can't interact with whatever's going on here.

CD: Type => SWITCH 3

After looking at the screen for a while, you type another COMMAND using the KEYBOARD. Much like what happened before, the screen flickers off and another one turns on.

There's some kind of dog staring at some clouds overhead, besides from that you can't figure out what's going on, the signal is all garbled on this screen too.

CD: Type => SWITCH 5

You skip screen FOUR and go straight to the BROKEN SCREEN to see what happens. Much like the other two, this one's signal seems to be messed up as well. There's some kind of black figure looking up at the sun, but it's hard to make out exactly what it is because of the GIANT CRACK in the middle of the screen.

CD: Switch back to the boy

You switch the screen back to the TOP-RIGHT one, you guess that the other two screens would likely only show some weird cryptic stuff anyways. The young boy seems to be fighting the DRAGONS still, You'll see what those over commands do whilst watching him.

CD: Unlock the other room

Other room? You're not sure you see a door anywhere that could lead to another room. You try to unlock it anyways.

The computer requires a SEVEN (7) Digit password in order to run this command. You try a bunch of different words, but none of them seem to work. After trying for a while, you give up on trying to guess it, maybe there's a clue to what it may be in the room somewhere?

CD: Type => TOGGLE #

You type the command into the TERMINAL, you hear something slam open behind you

CD: Daydream

You take a short rest laying on the floor. You remember back to a time on your old planet. You liked wearing that HAT, it was colourful and was a perfect size for your head. You're not sure how you got it in the first place exactly. You remember that the QUEEN told you to wear it though. You think that your BOSS complimented it too. You wonder where he is now.

CD: Suddely Monitor

The COMPUTER TERMINAL grabs your attention, a bunch of lights were flashing from one of the screens a few seconds ago. You get up and wander over towards it.

Oh. It's just your friend playing with a lot of friendly DRAGONS. They could be bothersome sometimes, but you enjoyed their company. They liked your HAT too.

CD: Press caps lock

You press the CAPS LOCK key and...

Nothing happens. You guess that when you start randomly pressing buttons, sometimes nothing interesting happens whatsoever.

CD: Press ESCape

You press the ESC key, the MONITOR on the TOP RIGHT changes and is replaced with a wall of text. These look like the COMMANDS you put in just a few minutes ago. Along with all the commands you put in earlier.

CD: Scroll

You scroll through the COMMANDS, you haven't really been putting too many in, You've just been watching him for a while and letting him do what he wants. As you scroll up, you notice some COMMANDS typed in a DIFFERENT COLOR. You didn't type these COMMANDS. You wonder who did and what they do.

CD: Draw your old home

You draw what used to be your old HOME before you came to this planet. This was what it looked like the last time you saw it. This planet also has a MOON much like the one you're on.

Most of the oil from the picture drains into the floor into a large puddle. You think you'll only use it in small amounts from now on.

CD: Draw something you really want in the wishbox

You draw a picture of a HAT inside of the UNLOCKED STORAGE BOX. You really wish you had a HAT. You like HATS. You like HATS a lot.

CD: That Moon looks lonely, why not give it some friends

You decide to draw another PLANET, This one is extremely BRIGHT and BLUE and has a smaller GOLDEN PLANET much like your OLD HOME. Unlike your OLD HOME, everyone on this planet was friendly. You draw a SMILEY FACE on it for some reason and then COLOR the surrounding walls with BLUE CHALK.

You decide to draw some MORE PLANETS on the surrounding WALL. You only vaguely remember what they look like. But most of them were VERY COLORFUL.

You remember the BLUE and WHITE one the most though. That's the planet your FRIEND on the MONITOR lives on.

This place is starting to look a little bit brighter with all this color on the walls. You're pretty sure your friend would agree with you if he was here.

CD: Begin drawing montage with the color green

You grab several pieces of GREEN CHALK and go around the edge of the room with them, drawing GRASS along the bottom of the WALLS.

You then proceed to lay down in the middle of the room and take a REST.
