As promised, here’s Osamu’s edition of the “dating you for a bet” fic
Atsumu’s and Suna’s part here
As you ring the doorbell to your boyfriend’s house, you’re greeted at the door by his twin. Nodding at you, he lets you in and calls out to Osamu.
“Samu! Yer lovers here to smother ya!” You laughed at Atsumu’s antics while he sent you a sly smile looking at you from the side. “Well, I’ll leave ya to it then,” he says as he makes his way back to his room. As he entered, your boyfriend made his way out, sending his brother a halfhearted glare before his face brightened seeing you.
“Hey babe!” He pulled you into him, placing a kiss to your lips. You wrapped your arms around his torso, rubbing his back.
“Wanna make brownies? I’ve been craving them,” you asked pulling away, forehead meeting his. Nodding he smiled excitedly.
“Heck yeah! We’re not sharing with Tsumu though,” he muttered at the end. Giggling, you dragged him to the kitchen to get started. Just as you both were about to begin cracking the eggs, the doorbell rang again.
“You expecting more company?” You turned to him while he looked at you confused.
“No?” As you were about to open your mouth, Atsumu called from their shared bedroom.
“It’s Suna! Get the door ya dumbass I can’t leave the game!” Rolling his eyes and grumbling to himself, your boyfriend signaled for you to wait a minute before making his way to the door. You heard them exchange quick greetings before Suna is on his way to the bedroom and Osamu returns to the kitchen where you are. Kissing your cheek, he begins to make the batter with you.
An hour of making a mess and getting flour all over each other later, the brownies are in the oven and your hugging Osamu’s waist while he washes the dishes. Pressing kisses to the muscles on his back, you speak up.
“Baby, we’ll be at our six month mark soon,” you sigh contentedly. You feel the vibrations from your hand on his chest as he hums.
“Half a year huh? ‘M glad ya stuck with me, even if it’s only to eat my food,” he teased. You pinched his arm lightly.
“Don’t be mean Samu! You know I love you,” you protested as he chuckled. “I’ve never been serious about someone before. At least not like this,” you mumbled softly into his shirt. Spinning around, he pulls you against his chest, kissing your head.
“Good. The only person ya need to be serious about is me anyway.” Pinching your cheeks, he placed another kiss on your lips. “Can ya grab my phone for me from charging in my room? I’ll finish cleaning up here.” Nodding, you made your way to his bedroom, about to open it when you heard the sound of your name come from the two boys lounging inside.
“Samu’s been bugging me about help for ideas for their 6 months,” you heard Tsumu say. A snort is the only response Suna gives before actually speaking up.
“Wasn’t it supposed to be two months? The bastard falls too easily for his own good,” Suna snickered.
“Yeah, guess that’s what happens when you’re the ‘nice one’. If he thinks he’s getting anymore money off of us for the extra months though, he’s got another thing coming,” you could hear the sounds of game controllers being pressed as they play, laughs being exchanged about your relationship.
“Yeah, for real. The bet was to date for two months. I’m not paying anything extra for the other four,” Suna agreed. Backing away from the door, you quickly made your way to the bathroom, tears filling your eyes. Bet was all that was ringing through your head. A bet. Osamu was dating you for a bet. After you’d just told him he was the first person you were serious about, you’d come to the realization that the only thing that led him into your life was a silly little joke at your expense. Gripping the sink tightly, you thought back to all the times you’d thought you were special to him, the times he learned to make a dish he knew you liked, the times he skipped practice to walk around the park with you, the times he gave you his jersey to wear at games so people knew you were there to cheer for him. But they were all a sick show to get you to stick around for two months so he could get extra money and bragging rights. He was only dragging it out to get more cash out of them, or worse, to make you look even more a fool for the laughs. It felt like the world had stopped. With your cheeks wet with tears, you placed a hand over your mouth to muffle the sobs. Just when things couldn’t get worse, you heard Osamu call your name.
“Y/n? Where are ya babe?” You heard his footsteps as he checked around the house for you, finally stopping in front the bathroom door. Knocking, he called for you again. “Y/n? Ya okay babe! Ya’ve been in there for a while,” he asked, concern lacing his tone. Fake concern you reminded yourself.
“Fuck off Osamu, leave me alone,” you shouted through tears.
“Babe? What’s wrong? What’d I do?” You only sniffled, sliding down the wall and crying into your knees. You couldn’t open the door and face them. All three of them, staring at you with amusement while they laughed, laughed at you for believing he could ever like someone like you, laughed at you for thinking you could have scored someone like him, and laughed at you for being such a lovesick fool. Sobs increasing in volume, you shook with each one. From the other side of the door, you hear Osamu shout. “Hey! What’d ya two dickheads say to y/n? I’ll kill ya both!” Pretty soon, two more fists were pounding on the door.
“Y/n? It’s me Tsumu, what’s going on?”
“Come on out y/n, Samu’s worried sick,” Suna called out after. Lies. They’re lying to you, you told yourself. They couldn’t ever be worried for you. Trying to collect yourself, you stood up, rinsing your face and getting ready to greet the three faces that haunted your thoughts so you could shove past them and go home. The second you opened the door, two muscular arms wrapped around you. But you shoved Osamu off, death glaring him before moving on to his friend and brother.
“Stay away from me. All of you,” you said coldly, eyes narrowed at them. Osamu looked at you in bewilderment, hurt flashing across his face, before you caught a look of understanding flash across Suna’s.
“Wait... y/n, what me and Tsumu were saying, you don’t understand,” but you held a hand up for him to stop.
“I understand perfectly fine Suna, don’t worry about me. You three have your fun and get a good laugh out of me, why don’t you?” Atsumu’s eyes widened, as he began to understand what was going on as well.
“Y/n-”
“Shut up! I don’t wanna hear it!” Osamu looked between all of you, overwhelmed by his confusion.
“Would ya two idiots explain to me what’s going on here? What’d ya do to y/n? I swear I’ll kill ya both,” but you cut him off. Hatred and anger radiating off of you, his heart sank at the look.
“Don’t you dare pin this on them you asshole. I can’t believe you’d waste my time for a quick buck. And laugh at me behind my back. Weren’t you raised better than that you jackass?” He looked at you, panic setting into his features.
“W-wait, y/n! I swear it’s not what ya think!” Osamu tried to reach for you, but you slapped his hands away. He looked at you, expression broken.
“He’s right, we weren’t laughing at ya! Honest!” Atsumu tried to vouch for his brother. Just as Suna opened his mouth to add on, you cut him off.
“I don’t care. I don’t want anything to do with the three of you ever again. Stay away from me. Stay away from my house, stay away from my friends, and stay away from me on all my socials too! I never ever want to see you ever again Miya Osamu,” you spat. Shoving past him, you grabbed your things, walked out the door and slammed it shut, leaving Osamu standing and staring at where you were just a moment ago, tears slipping down his face.
After blowing up your phone nonstop, you’d blocked all three of them on everything, wishing to cry into your pillow in peace. Your family had gone out for the evening, so you were home alone. Just as you had gone back under the blankets after putting your phone down, your door creaked open, revealing your ex boyfriend. He stared down at his feet as you death glared him.
“How are you even in here?” You asked with narrowed eyes.
“Ya told me where your spare key was before,” he whispered.
“Osamu, get out of my house. I don’t wanna see you, okay? I’m done with you,” you spat, venom lacing your tone. His lips trembled as he walked closer to you.
“Y/n, please let me explain? We... we’re about to hit our six month, and I don’t want-”
“I don’t want to hit six months with you. What I want is for you to leave me alone and let me forget about you!”
“No! Please, I don’t want ya to forget! I love ya, I know it looks bad, but I love ya so much, please, we don’t have to end this,” he begged, tears running down his face as he looked at you desperately.
“Oh we don’t? You put a price tag on me, sat through two months with me with the intention to break up with me and break my heart, let your brother and friend laugh at my naivety for god knows how long, and suddenly there’s no reason for us to be over?” Shaking his head, he reached over, but once again, you shoved his hands away. “Don’t touch me,” you spat. He sobbed at your tone.
“No, I swear, I never planned on breaking yer heart. I was being a jerk by accepting the bet, but I really liked ya! I still do, I love ya. I never wanted to break up with ya, and I didn’t take the money. I realized it was a dick move!”
“Oh thank god! Nice guy Miya Osamu realized how much of a dick he was being! I’m so glad you’ve come to your senses Samu, you’re truly such a great guy,” you sarcastically bit back at him. “Do me a favor and go bet on how long it’ll take me to forget I ever loved you in the first place.” Kneeling in front of your bed, he sobbed into his hands.
“Please, please don’t leave me! I don’t want ya to go, I want to be with ya forever. Please just don’t walk out on me, baby please,” he looked at you, eyes glassy and face red.
“Don’t ever call me baby again, you hear? Now get out!”
“No! Not until ya forgive me, and tell me yer staying. I’ll apologize in front of Tsumu and Suna. My whole team if ya want. Just don’t leave me. I can’t handle losing ya, or watching ya move on! It hurts too much to think about,” he grabbed your hand, holding onto it desperately.
“And you don’t think it hurts to hear them laugh that you’ve been planning our six month out like it was some dumb joke? How shallow can you get?” His head found its way into your lap, crying into your blanket as he chanted I’m sorry and please forgive me over and over again.
“I can make it better, I swear. I’ll be perfect, everything ya want me to be, please can ya just give me another chance? I don’t wanna break up, I don’t wanna,” he asked you, lips quivering and tears rolled down his face. He was trying to control his breathing as he waited for your response. You knew you shouldn’t, but it was taking everything in you not to reach over and wipe his tears, heart throbbing at the sight of him so upset. But you couldn’t stop thinking about the conversation you’d overheard.
“Osamu, I’m not letting you use me to get more money, so just forget-”
“It’s not for money! It’s not! Ya can have it, ya can have all of it if ya want. I’ll buy ya gifts too, every day, if that’s what ya want. Hell if I don’t do anything ya want, just say you’ll stay.” You sat there silent, trying to think what you were supposed to do in this situation. You wanted to shove him out your room and tell him to get lost, but at the same time, you couldn’t think about a future that didn’t involve him. Osamu was your sweet boyfriend, who was gentle and soft, always paying attention to details and making you feel seen. You wanted to believe it was real. Staring at you hopelessly, he choked on another sob. “Y-y/n? P-please,” He whispered out. You sighed, mentally kicking yourself for not being able to hold your resolve. Resting a hand on his cheek, you rubbed a thumb over it.
“Why’d you do it Samu? Why’d you accept?” Breath hitching, he clutched the wrist of the hand that lay on his cheek tightly.
“Th-they were saying th-that ya wouldn’t say yes. Th-that ya wouldn’t want me. I-I wanted to prove I could get ya to say yes. B-but not for their damn bet, it’s because I liked ya, so much! I never wanted to break up with ya, please believe me,” he cried. Feeling a small part of your heart shatter, you leaned over and pressed a kiss to his forehead, causing him to choke on another sob.
“Samu, you can’t hold bets on things that involve peoples feelings, no matter how pure your intentions are,” you said softly.
“I know! I know that now, so please can ya-”
“It’s okay. I’m not gonna break up with you, but I’m not gonna let something else slide again after this okay?” Nodding furiously, he looked up at you. He climbed onto the bed, all but throwing himself onto you. One hand in his hair while the other rubbed up and down his back, you shushed him as he cried.
“I won’t let ya down, I won’t, I promise!” Kissing his head, you pulled the cover over his body, trying to soothe his cries.
“Okay Samu, I believe you. Don’t let people tell you that I wouldn’t want you, you’re a wonderful guy, but you shouldn’t let people persuade you to do things that are low to prove a point okay? I love you baby.”
“I love ya too. I’ll be a better man for ya,” he whispered into your chest. “Are we still gonna celebrate our six month?” Chuckling, you nodded.
“Yeah, we will.” Nodding, he relaxed a little. After a bit, he spoke up again.
“Hey y/n?” Looking down at him, you hummed.
“Yeah baby?”
“The brownies got burnt.” Pouting, you pinched his cheek.
“Well you better make me more because I really wanted some.”
Well this sucked. Anyway I should really finish my homework but I only have one more thing left and I am stalling now.
hiii!!! i love your blog so much, it’s amazing. i hope im doing this right, but can you maybe do angst to fluff of Sakusa, Kuroo, Atsumu and Oikawa (I think you said 4 people, but if not then whoever you choose is fine) where they’re about to start a match and they’re kinda irritated and their s/o comes up to them to help lift their spirits, but they get angry at their s/o for doing that and they just yell at their s/o in front of everyone and s/o is embarrassed and leaves the gym. The match is over and they realize their s/o left and they make it up to them. If not that’s totally fine, love your work and take care of yourself <33 :))
Everyone except Kuroo is timeskip, because he’s too busy being a businessman to play volleyball 😭🤚🏼
Sakusa
Going up against his cousin, Sakusa felt that there was a lot riding on this game. While he was happy to play against his high school teammate and family member, there was still a pressure on him to do as well as he possibly could. Putting in extra time and effort into practice, he’d been a lot more on edge this last week following put to the match. Wanting to help clear his mind a bit before the game, you walked up to him, ready to give him a small peck on the cheek and encourage him some.
“Omi baby, you’re match is about to start, so-” he cut you off.
“I know my match is about to start y/n you don’t have to tell me. I’d like to be allowed to warm up in peace now please, this is a really important game.” His voice was stern and somewhat cold, making your frown at his tone. But you didn’t say anything, assuming that the nerves were kicking in.
“I know baby, I just wanted-”
“Y/n, did you not hear the part where I said I’d like to be in peace? That insinuates that I’m asking you to leave me alone and stop being so annoying, or are you too dim to get the message?” Looking up at him in shock not only for the words he’d said, but also at the volume of his voice, your eyes quickly darted around to see that his teammates had turned at his outburst, staring at the two of you in shock. Seeing pity on some of their faces, your cheeks burned in humiliation, confused why he’d taken his stress out on you when you were simply trying to help. Staring up at him with misty eyes, you nodded curtly, before making your way over to the bleachers where your things were. You waited till he turned to continue practicing a few serves before gathering your belongings and making your way out of the arena to go home.
The game had gone smoothly, and after the first few serves, Sakusa had regained his usual stoic and collected attitude, playing at his best. It wasn’t until after the game that he’d begun to realize his actions were more than uncalled for, guilt making its way into his system. He looked around for you, trying to find your figure so he could approach you and apologize for his behavior, but you were nowhere to be seen, and he was beginning to panic.
“Ya looking for y/n, ya jackass?” Turning over to Atsumu, Sakusa held his tongue, knowing that he deserved the little jab this time.
“Yes. As a matter of fact, I am looking for y/n.” Raising an eyebrow, Atsumu shook his head.
“Well y/n left. Ya’d have seen that if ya were paying attention after ya snapped for nothing in front of yer whole team.” Once again shaking his head in disappointment, Atsumu made his way past Sakusa, ready to get changed in the locker rooms after the interviews. Sakusa was about to pull out his phone to call you, but interviewers of his own popped up before he had the chance, much to his dismay. After another half hour of after game rituals, he was able to finally escape, quickly changing before trying to call your phone. As expected, no response. Texting you to pick up his call, his heart sunk a little when you’d left him on read, knowing you were trying to make it clear to him you weren’t going to speak. He was left with no other choice but to wait until the bus could drop him back off. He hoped you were still at the apartment waiting for him when he got back, a painful feeling twisting in the pit of his stomach.
“Y/n?” He called through the apartment when he finally got back, desperately hoping you were there. To his relief, you were at the table, eating dinner while scrolling through your phone. “Y/n I’ve been calling you nonstop, didn’t you see?” No response from you once again. Sighing, he sat next to you, looking at you with sad eyes. “I’m sorry love, I shouldn’t have snapped at you that way. It was uncalled for, and you didn’t deserve that.” Not saying anything, you got up and left the dishes in the sink, leaving them for him to wash, knowing he hated when things sat in the sink without immediately being rinsed off. Except this time, he followed you instead, trying to get you to say something. “Y/n, please don’t ignore me, I want to talk about-” but before he could finish his sentence, you turned around abruptly, glaring at him with pure venom in your gaze.
“Did you not get the part where I’m ignoring you? That insinuates that I’m asking you to leave me alone and stop being so annoying, or are you too dim to get the message?” His face dropped at that, looking down at his feet. Slowly, after a few moments, he hesitantly turned and made his way to the living room, sitting on the couch thinking back to how you’d used his words against him. He felt guilty about earlier, but he felt more guilty about feeling hurt by what you said, after all, you’d only repeated what he’d said to you earlier. Keeping out of your way, the rest of the night consisted of Sakusa looking at you hopefully whenever you’d step out of your room, only to deflate when you didn’t spare him a glance. As the night progressed, he slowly became more and more desperate for some acknowledgement from you.
Once it started to get late, the both of you began to head in for the night. Getting yourself ready for bed, you stopped when you saw Sakusa already on his side, looking at you brokenly. Rolling your eyes and turning the lights off, you slid into your side, making sure to be careful to keep strictly to your half. After turning your back to him, a few minutes later you heard a small sniffle.
“Y/n?” You felt a small poke to your shoulder, followed by another sniffle. “Can we please talk now?” Ignoring him, you continued to lay on your side. Another small poke to your shoulder and another sniffle later, you caved. Feeling you’d been petty enough, and that hurting each other was leading nowhere, you turned, moving one hand to cradle his face gently.
“Alright fine, come here.” Wasting no time, he shuffled closer to you, clinging to your body tightly. Kissing his forehead, you wiped away the few tears he’d let out. “You can’t speak to me like that Omi, especially not in front of your teammates. It doesn’t matter how stressed you are, it doesn’t excuse it. I only wanted to help you feel better. If you really wanted to be alone, you could’ve asked nicely, I’d have understood.”
“I know,” he whispered. “I’m sorry. I won’t ever snap like that at you. Please don’t be mad at me anymore, it won’t happen again. I love you y/n.” Rubbing circles into his back, you smiled.
“I love you too. And congrats on your game, I saw it on television. You did amazing.” Smiling, he thanked you before he began to tell you little details about how it went and what it was like to play against his cousin.
Kuroo
Not me using this as an excuse to have Daishou throw some taunts his way
The loss against Fukurodani had hit Kuroo hard, his last chance at nationals hanging by a thin thread. Though he still had a shot at being the host representative, it still stung that he hadn’t actually scored a spot himself, he’d only gotten lucky there were three representatives for Tokyo this year. The game against Nohebi was an important one, and to say he was on edge was an understatement. Knowing your boyfriend was overthinking a little, you wanted to make sure you’d tried to calm him, wanting him to play at his best while he was at his usual level headed self.
“Hey Tetsu, don’t think too deeply okay? You’re gonna win this one, just as long as you stay calm.” Trying to reach for his chin, he turned his head away from your touch.
“Not right now y/n, I’m not in the mood. A pointless pep talk isn’t going to help right now,” he grumbled, turning to get back to his warm ups. Frowning, you reached out for him again, but he grabbed your wrist. “God y/n, I said not now! Can’t you see that? I’m about to start an important game for the national qualifiers, and you’re out here being a pest while I’m trying to warm up. Can’t you go to the other team if your gonna be a bother? At least then it’ll be useful.” He turned and left you there, as you looked up and saw all the eyes that had turned to look at you and witness you get yelled at by your boyfriend. Trying to fight back tears, you turned and exited the gym, ears burning from the embarrassment. As Kuroo reached for a ball, his long time rival approached him, a wicked grin on his face.
“You know, it’s funny you mentioned my break up earlier, I won’t be the only one going through a breakup if you keep treating your partner like that, Kuroo.” Daishou smirked at him, taking the opportunity and pushing his buttons to further rile him up.
“We’ll see whether or not that’s the case after I finish beating you,” Kuroo spat.
Of course, in the end Nekoma had won, and a huge weight was lifted off of Kuroo’s shoulders, the excitement of securing a spot at nationals taking over all of his earlier stress. Looking for your face in the crowd, his smile slowly dropped when he noticed you were nowhere to be found.
“Don’t expect y/n to be here, not after what you said,” turning to Kenma, he frowned. The outburst he had at you from earlier came crashing down on him, realizing just how much he had messed up. Calling your phone a few times, he wasn’t surprised to find that you weren’t answering, his calls getting declined immediately after each one he made. The whole bus ride back, he sat impatiently, leg bouncing as he thought about what he’d say to you, hoping you’d forgive his actions.
Sitting in your room, you typed away furiously, finishing homework that you could’ve done earlier if you hadn’t wasted your time getting up with Kuroo and heading to his match early to support him. Some match that turned out to be, you thought to yourself. Just as you went to check the time on your phone, a knock came at your door. Turning around, you came face to face with your boyfriend, the one you were very upset with at the moment.
“Hey y/n,” he mumbled, staring down at his feet as he rubbed his neck.
“Don’t be a pest Tetsuro, I’m trying to finish my homework. Go home.” Turning back around, you continued to type away at your laptop, attempting to ignore his presence as you finished the work you had left to do. Kuroo tried not to let the words sting, it was only fair you snapped back at him, but he still couldn’t help the feeling in the pit of his stomach when you spoke to him like that. He couldn’t imagine how you’d felt in front of the whole court when he’d done it himself.
“Y/n, I’m really sorry,” but you death glared him.
“Oh are you? You embarrassed me in front of not just your team, but your opponents, all the coaches, and even some of the audience too. You got your damn win didn’t you? So kindly leave me alone I don’t even wanna look at you right now.” Trying once more to speak up, he reached out to touch your shoulder.
“Y/n I swear,” this time he was interrupted by his hand being swatted away.
“Would you just get out? What are you not comprehending?” Lips trembling, he looked down at the floor again.
“I-I just wanted to celebrate my win together,” he said quietly.
“I don’t wanna celebrate with you, I don’t care to at the moment. Now like I said about ten million times already, get out. Go home Tetsuro.” Turning back around, you stared at your screen, unable to concentrate. Behind you, you could hear Kuroo’s sniffling as he tried to think of what to do to fix things. He slowly made his way to your bed, curling up and looking over at you. After some time, as the two of you sat in an awkward silence, he finally spoke up.
“Are... are you gonna break up with me? Like Daishou said?” Turning to look at him, you saw how hard he was trying not to break down, the quivering of his lips shooting straight to your heart. Feeling bad that he was struggling not to cry after such a big achievement, you sighed, deciding to let this one slide just this once.
“No, I’m not gonna break up with you. Daishou’s full of shit okay?” Walking over to him, you sat on your bed, leaning against the bed frame as you collected your boyfriend into your arms. Wiping away tears, you kissed each cheek before pressing another one to his lips. “But you can’t take out your frustrations on me okay? I’m not gonna stand for that.” Nodding, he turned to bury himself deeper into your body.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. I wish I was nicer, then you could’ve seen me win,” he whispered. Pecking his forehead, you smiled.
“I did watch you win, I came back in when the match started and left when it was over. You were wonderful baby, I’m proud of you. Congrats on nationals, I knew you could do it.” A smile forming on his face, he looked up at you.
“Yeah?” Nodding, you pulled the covers up, rubbing his back.
“Yeah, I’m glad you beat that jackass and put him in his place.” Chuckling, he grabbed your hand, lacing your fingers together. “He’s wrong, I won’t break up with you. I love you too much for that.”
“I love you too,” he smiled, as he began to discuss his strategies against his possible opponents at the spring nationals with you.
Atsumu
“Tsumu! Hey, I wanted to catch you before the game,” you ran up to your boyfriend, just as he was about to practice a serve. Tensing, he turned to you with a glare.
“Y/n, ya know not to bother me when I’m practicing or serving. Why’s this any different?” He looked at you with narrowed eyes. Stopping your arm as you had went to reach for him, you looked at him with your eyes wide.
“Oh... I-I’m sorry Tsum... I just wanted to wish you good luck you know, it’s your first game against Suna, and I thought-”
“Well ya thought wrong! I’m not in the mood for someone else squealing in my ears as I try to serve a few balls before I play. I’m tired of ya sticking to me like glue, quit being so clingy!” Staring at him in shock, you noticed the rest of the MSBY players frowning at the scene before them. As you were about to speak up, Bokuto came up to you.
“Cmon y/n, let’s get you to your seat. Cheer real loud for us okay?” He gave you bright smile, and your earlier shame form being yelled at by your boyfriend somewhat washed away.
“Yeah! Don’t forget to cheer for me loudest, I’m gonna score the most points!” Hinata piped up. Chuckling, you nodded, glad that Atsumu at least had two bright teammates to cheer you up.
“Okay, make sure you wave to me from the court then.”
As promised, you had cheered on for the boys, waving at Bokuto and Hinata a few times as they’d turned to you with smiles. You’d noticed the way your boyfriend had tried to meet your eyes a few times, but you refused to spare him a glance. Every once in a while, you’d catch him looking at you from the corner of your eyes whenever he’d made a service ace, hoping you’d spare him a smile, or at least meet his eyes. But you kept up your resolve, not ready to forgive him quite yet. Soon enough, they’d won the game, and you rushed over to the the two spikers, excitedly congratulating them on their win. Atsumu stared at you, feeling a blow to his heart when you hadn’t come up to him first. Slowly walking up to you, he tapped you shoulder.
“Y/n?” Turning to face him, he winced at your glare.
“I’m trying to congratulate Bokuto and Hinata on their win. Stop being clingy and let me do that in peace.” Turning back around, you continued to speak to his teammates, making Atsumu’s heart sink further.
It only got worse in the bus ride back, you had refused to sit by him like you usually did, opting to sit between the two you’d been speaking to the whole night. Watching you interact with a few other teammates as well, he fought back the urge to shove them away from you, staring out the window dejected. It stung that you hadn’t acknowledged him at all, but he couldn’t blame you. Thinking he’d fix things once the two of you made your way back home, Atsumu tried to keep himself calm.
Once the two of you made it back to your apartment, you continued your way to the bedroom, preparing for bed without sparing Atsumu so much as a glance. Once again, he tried to capture your attention.
“Hey, y/n?” Before he could continue, the slamming of the bathroom door rang through the room. Letting out a shaky breath, he tried to keep from breaking down, once more figuring he could try again, this time once you two made it to bed. You had planned on ignoring Atsumu for a bit longer, upset that he spoke to you like that in front of a crowd. He always was a bit short tempered, you knew that, but snapping without a cause in the presence of others was a bit too far. Making your way back to the room, you shut the lights off and slid into bed, making sure your side wasn’t crossed. An arm hesitantly slid around your waist, but you shoved it off.
“Y-y/n,” but you sighed exasperated.
“Can you shut up Atsumu? God why the hell won’t you leave me alone for the night, geez.” Shrinking back, he fought back tears.
“Y-ya didn’t speak to me all night, didn’t even congratulate me after the game. Ya just stuck to Bokuto and Hinata the whole time,” he whispered.
“Yeah I wonder why. Why would I want to spend time with you after the game?” His lips quivered, heart aching at the thought that you preferred the company of any man other than him.
“I’m sorry about snapping at ya, I just-”
“Shut up Atsumu! What the hell is wrong with you? I said I don’t wanna speak to you right now, now be quiet and go to sleep. Stay on your side of the damn bed too, got it?” Sniffling, he spoke up again, voice shaky this time.
“I... ya aren’t gonna leave right? Just tell me that much please?” He was met with an eerie silence. Letting out a soft sob, he grabbed your waist. “Y/n I’m sorry, I really am. Please don’t leave me. Not for one of them, I can’t live through that!” The panic in his voice made you break your resolve, it wasn’t in your intentions to make him think you were walking out on him. Sighing, you turned, wrapping your arms around his torso.
“Tsumu baby, I’m not leaving okay? It’s okay, I’m not gonna leave for one of your teammates. I just would appreciate if you’re a bit kinder to me when you’re stressed, it’s not fair to take it out on me.” Burying his face into your neck, he continued to sniffle.
“I’m sorry. I really am. I won’t speak to ya like that again, I promise.” For a moment, he was quiet before he spoke up again in a small voice. “Ya looked really good with Bokuto, sometimes I can’t help but think he’d be better for ya.” Shushing him, you stroked his hair.
“No Tsum, I look best with you. I love you. I didn’t mean to make you think I’d want Bokuto over you, I was just mad. Let’s just forget about it okay? You did really well today, I’m proud of you. Congratulations baby.” Kissing his forehead, you rubbed his back slowly.
“Thanks,” he whispered into your neck. “I was hoping ya’d notice me.”
“I did notice you, I promise. You always stand out the most, wherever I look.” Continuing to rub his back, you both slowly fell asleep listening to each other’s heart beats.
I didn’t really feel like doing Oikawa’s, the prompt was getting repetitive lol I’m sorry 😭. But I hope you enjoyed the other three!
pairing: miya atsumu x reader (strangers to lovers—fake dating)
genre: fluff
word count: 1.4k
summary: number 13, miya atsumu seems like a nice man, but his little dilemma he ropes you into seems to show you he’s much more than that
“Hey, you’re Miya’s date, right?” Turning, you frown, staring at the MSBY player before you with furrowed eyebrows. Atsumu had mentioned his name to you before, but you can’t seem to recall it, having been a part of a list of far too many names to remember only fifteen minutes before reaching the gym.
“Um, n—yes! Yes, absolutely. I am,” you catch yourself at the last second, nodding furiously with a large (probably more than necessary) smile. He stares at you for a moment before nodding slowly, awkwardly smiling back.
You’re not sure if he’s completely convinced.
“Oh, okay. Well, uh…see you after the game, then,” he offers before quickly walking away.
Number 13, Miya Atsumu. He’s a nice man—from what you can tell at least. He’s helped you carry groceries to your car before—somehow always managing to be at the store at the same time as you. He’s paid for your drink at the local coffee shop that one morning—you’d forgotten your wallet in the car—and his smile seemed genuine enough. It was a little cocky for your taste, but his eyes were sincere, the saccharine honey of his orbs seeping with warmth when you looked into them.
And when he approached you, hands stuffed in his pockets and eyes downcast as he kicked a few pebbles around, claiming he’d needed a favor, you couldn’t find it in you to say no.
“I had a one night stand and a few photos got out to the press o’ me walkin’ out. Told ma manager I was datin’ someone so she wouldn’t get onta me,” he’d mumbled sheepishly, and though it seemed like a lot of trouble, you’d still agreed to be his date.
And here you were. His date, with him nowhere to be found.
The sudden poke to your hip makes you jolt, turning to face the source of your scare, hand unconsciously ready to shove it away when a smooth chuckle and a warm, callused hand on your wrist makes you pause.
“Woah, there,” Atsumu flashes you a grin, tugging you flush against his chest. The proximity makes you swallow, looking up at his face with wide eyes. He smirks slightly. “Yer here as ma date, wouldn’t look too believable if ya shoved me two seconds in, would it?”
Your voice seems to find itself as you frown, huffing before you look him in the eye more determined this time. His smirk only widens.
“You shouldn’t scare your date on the first one, it’s not very gentlemanly of you.” He offers you a sly grin, hand wandering down lower till it reaches the small of your back. Your breath hitches at the way he starts rubbing small circles into it.
“Well, I s’pose ya gotta point,” he mumbles, head dipping down lower till his breath is fanning lightly against your face. He smells faintly of cologne, cool yet spicy, but definitely expensive. “Can’t let people get the wrong idea, can we? Come on, angel, we gotta convince em.”
Eyes widening as you realize what he means, you press your palm against his chest, a futile attempt to push him away, really—the sturdiness of his muscled chest was enough to distract you instantly.
“I…y-you…here? You want to—here? In front of all these people?”
And he chuckles once more, making you start to wonder how the smooth and adorably sweet guy from the grocery store and coffee shop had become so smug.
“‘S just a kiss. Never had a kiss before?” You scowl, finally shoving at his chest this time, but his grip only tightens.
“Of course I have, you moron. Just not with a star athlete in front of all his fans,” you mutter.
“Ya keep up with me on the media?” Scoffing, you turn your head away to the side, not willing to admit that perhaps you’d searched his name in google once or twice. It was strictly informational.
“As if,” you huff. “This is not a very great first date, you know.”
“‘S not real, thought we went over that. Don’t tell me yer attached already?”
Number 13, Miya Atsumu seemed more a handful than you’d initially anticipated. With pursed lips and narrowed eyes, you glare daggers at him, making his eyes sparkle with amusement.
“Don’t be ridiculous, I’m the one doing you the favor here. Be a little grateful.”
“Well ya gotta play yer part for me ta be grateful, angel. Gotta give em a show. Kiss me,” he puckers his lips slightly. “I’ll be grateful.”
You shove his face away when he leans down, making his lips curl into a pout. Staring at him in disbelief, you look around to see if anyone is staring at the show Atsumu is so hellbent on giving. To your dismay, it seems the entirety of the stands has their eyes cast specifically on you, making you sag into his hold.
For the millionth time, Atsumu’s snicker rings in your ears.
“Atsu—Miya, I’m not kissing you here in front of—”
“Ya can’t call yer boyfriend by his last name!”
“Fake boyfriend. Fake.”
“But they don’t know that,” he grins. Groaning, you sigh in defeat, glancing around the gym a few more times before ultimately caving. Atsumu’s grin couldn’t be any wider, and if it was, you’d have half a mind to smack it gone.
Perhaps your good deed was a bite that was much more than you could chew at the moment.
“Fine, if I give you a quick peck on the lips, will you be satisfied?”
“Oh, I’d be ecstatic,” he smirks. So, with an exasperated sigh, you usher him closer—to which he obliges much to quickly, and much too happily.
“Okay, but remember, it’s just a quick peck, okay? Don’t—” he cuts you off before you can finish your sentence.
And it most certainly isn’t a quick peck.
Atsumu presses his lips firmly against yours, molding against you so perfectly, you can’t help but close your eyes shut. His arms tighten their grip around your waist, pulling you impossibly closer, and the scent of his cologne wafts through your nose once again, much stronger this time. And he swallows the strangled noise you let out, only kissing you deeper. The hand that lay flat on his chest a moment ago grips his shirt tightly, and your other hand subconsciously wanders past his shoulders to play with the hair at the base of his neck. He smirks against your lips.
Pulling away, he places one delicate, tiny, quick peck to your slightly swollen lips, huffing out yet another chuckle at the dazed expression on your face.
Except this time, it’s not cocky or smug. It’s purely one of glee, and it matches his expression. He looks almost as giddy as a child at an ice cream shop.
“A quick peck, as promised,” he winks.
“Atsumu! Everyone’s watched that! What’re they gonna say? It’ll be all over the media if we’re never seen together after a kiss like that! And—”
“Then I guess we’ll just have to be seen together after that, angel,” he cuts you off. Sputtering, you do a double take at his words, watching as he all but rolls on the balls of his feet in excitement.
And it clicks in your head, finally, that this was just number 13, Miya Atsumu, MSBY’s star setter and your resident smooth talker’s elaborate plan to set you both up to see each other over and over again.
You roll your eyes as you mumble “you could’ve just asked me on a real date like a normal person.”
“Well, I did actually tell ma manager I was datin’ someone,” he mumbles sheepishly, and you catch a small glimpse of the same shyness you’d seen when he first approached you with his dilemma. “But I thought it was a good opportunity ta dazzle ya,” he offers a toothy grin. Your heart does a 360 in your chest at the sight.
“You’re unbelievable.”
“And yer unbelievably cute when yer flustered.” The whistle blows, and his attention turns to his coach who’s ushering him over sternly, making him turn to you with a smile. “I’ll see ya after the game, kay, babe? Cheer for me real loud.”
And with another stolen peck on the lips, Atsumu jogs to where his team is waiting, glancing over his shoulder and winking over at you. You cover your mouth with your hand and stifle a chuckle when he stumbles slightly, ramming into a raven and curly haired man who scowls and shrugs him off.
Number 13, Miya Atsumu seemed quite the handful, but you think you can manage to deal with him somehow.
HAIKYUU BOYS WHEN YOU BRING UP DIVORCE DURING AN ARGUMENT
request: hi tee! love your works so much, been following you for a while now. was wondering if you could do something like saying you want a divorce or you wanna leave during an argument? would be happy to read either way!
a/n: lmao this is an old request but here it is anyway. its super short and rushed but whatever there’s always next time fjsndjdjd
✯ 𝐀𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐔
Atsumu slams his hands down on the dresser, turning to you with the veins in his neck bulging. The argument has been going on for a while now, and neither of you can remember what the original topic is, but the heated back and forth between the two of you didn’t seem like it was close to ending any time soon.
The topic at hand is pointless, an old wound both of you had agreed to leave behind, but the circumstances had brought it back to light, and you were growing tired of the tug of war of the last hour.
“Yer gonna tell me yer family was nice ta me on that trip? Was practically a punchin’ bag for yer aunt the whole damn time,” Atsumu growls.
“What else do you want me to do? I apologized, I defended you, what was I gonna do, ask her to leave the trip?”
“Well ‘s not like ya cared about yer husband’s feelin’s anyway. Too busy worryin’ what yer family would think,” he mumbles under his breath. Your jaw tenses and Atsumu inhales sharply, sensing he was pushing it a bit too much. “Kay, y/n, I didn’t mean for—”
“Then divorce me! Divorce me if you can’t bear to be around me and my family, I’ll sign them right now,” you scream, and Atsumu flinches, shrinking back with each word. Standing frozen, his shoulders sag and his head dips to look towards the floor, body tense as he registers your words.
You watch, heart cracking as his face crumples and his lips quiver, eyes turning glossy as he desperately tries to hold back the tears that beg to stream down his face. And they do, one by one slipping down his cheeks as he sniffles.
“Ya…ya’d really sign em? Divorce papers?” His voice cracks at the last syllable, and you shake your head, rushing over to cup his cheeks.
“No, no Tsumu, I’d never. I was just mad.”
Atsumu doesn’t respond, staring at the floor as you try to catch his tears with your thumb, new ones quickly replacing the ones you brush away. With a staggered breath, he grips your waist tight, looking at you hopelessly.
“Have…have ya been thinkin’ about one?” Rubbing his cheek, you blink back tears of your own, shaking your head furiously before pressing small kisses to his face, hugging him closer.
“No, I promise it just slipped. I’d never considered it, okay?” He nods, but you can tell he’s unconvinced. Holding both cheeks in your hands, you force him to look you in the eyes, offering a soft smile. “I promise, Tsumu. I couldn’t ever be anywhere than with you,” you whisper, and Atsumu buries his face into your neck, letting you rub his back.
“Don’t wanna lose you,” he mumbles. “‘M sorry, took it too far.” Sighing, you kiss the side of his head, rubbing your fingers through his locks.
“It’s okay, we’ll talk about it later, yeah? Let’s just go to bed for now,” you murmur. He spends the night in your chest, letting you whisper nothings to him as he cherishes that your here, with him.
✯ 𝐈𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐙𝐔𝐌𝐈
Iwaizumi grits his teeth as you keep screaming, words tumbling past your lips without giving him a chance to interject. He wants to talk it through civilly, but you can’t help but get frustrated with the argument, getting riled up all too quickly. He feels himself slowly lose his own temper.
“Can you just stop talking and listen for a second? Or do you like hearing yourself talk that much,” he spits, making you pause and glare at him. Hands finding their way to your hips, you laugh humorlessly, walking closer to Iwaizumi and poking his chest.
“Maybe, if you listened, then I wouldn’t have to talk as much as I do! But you don’t take one moment out of your day to—”
“I wanted to talk! I tried to talk and listen calmly, but you wanted to go on and scream.” The arguments been going on for much too long, and you’ve become too tired to deal with it. Suddenly, the only thing you really wanted was to get away and clear your head, but you couldn’t stop yourself from growing angrier but the second. Groaning, you turn around, marching over to grab your keys and head for the door, much too frustrated to think about the next words that tumble out of your mouth through before speaking.
“At this point we should just sign the divorce papers if we can’t communicate.”
Iwaizumi’s breath hitches and you slowly realize what you’ve said, turning to face him and watch as his expression morphed with hurt. His eyes blinked back furiously as his fists clenched tightly.
“So that’s it huh? Just wanna throw in the towel when it’s a bit tough on you?” Shaking your head, you walk over, hand reaching to cup his cheek, but Iwaizumi pulls away.
“Haji, baby—”
“No, it’s okay, y/n. You can leave if you want to,” he croaks, voice breaking at the end. Sighing, you reach forward and plant your hand on his cheek despite his struggling, rubbing over his cheekbone with your thumb.
“Haji, look at me,” you whisper. Iwaizumi looks to the side, a few stray tears falling past his lashes, spilling onto his cheeks. Wiping them away, you slowly tilt his face to meet yours. “You know I didn’t mean that. I couldn’t ever. I’m really sorry,” you murmur.
“But you thought it,” he whispers brokenly, making your heart squeeze at the uncertainty swimming in his eyes. Leaning forward, you peck his lips gently, offering him a tiny smile of reassurance.
“Baby, I swear it’s never actually crossed my mind. You’re it for me, you have to know that. Come here,” you pull him in for a hug, smiling as he slowly melts into your embrace and sags his weight into you, desperate for your touch. “Hajime, it was just me being petty. I wouldn’t last a day without you, do you know that? You’re everything I’ll ever need.”
“I love you. Too much to let this go,” he mumbles, sniffling into your neck.
“And I love you just as much, I promise.”
✯ 𝐊𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐎
Kuroo tries to avoid arguments as much as possible, too scared of ending up like his parents and reliving the endless screaming that took place on the daily. Too many times he’s been scared that your marriage would fall apart one day and leave him shattered, but he’s grown steady and confident.
But today, you simply couldn’t let matters go, determined to set things straight and talk them through, heart set on making your thoughts be heard.
“Y/n, can’t we just talk about this later? You can always just bring it up again when—”
“No, we’re gonna talk about this now! It’s important, and you shrugging it off isn’t gonna make problems go away, Tetsuro. Just man up and deal with them!” Growling in irritation, he unties his tie and slams it down, turning to you and pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Okay, so you have to bring it up first thing I step into this house? It can’t wait a bit? I’ve had a long day at work. Not everything is going to happen the way you want it to, y/n,” he groans, marching past you to go to the bathroom. He freezes in his place when you call after him.
“Tetsuro, if you can’t handle me wanting to get my concerns across, marriage isn’t for you. We can always divorce if that’s the case,” you spit. Slowly, Kuroo turns around and faces you, eyes wide and watery, devastated at your words. It hits you the weight of what you’ve said, and you quickly scramble to take it back. “Wait, baby—no, that’s not…that’s not what I wanted to say, I’m…Tetsu, baby, I’m sorry,” you say gently.
Kuroo’s shoulders shake with each silent sob, and your heart falls apart. Grabbing his hand, you pull him to the bed, wrapping him up in your arms.
“Y-you…you wanna…you really wanna leave?” His voice is quiet, scared, and you’re swimming with guilt. Rubbing his arm gently, you shake your head.
“No, never. I’m here, forever.”
“But you said—”
“Don’t ever think I meant it, okay? I didn’t. I’m sorry, Tetsu. Marrying you was the best decision of my life,” you soothe, tracing small patterns into his arm. He clings tightly to you, staring up at you with his cheek smooshed against your chest.
“I don’t wanna end up like my parents,” he whispers, voice shaky. Pressing a kiss to his forehead, you pull the covers over his body, wrapping your arms around him once more.
“We won’t,” you promise. “We’ve made it this far right? And I don’t ever want to live without you, I don’t think I can. I never meant to hurt you.” Shuffling closer, Kuroo sniffles, reaching for your hand and lacing your fingers. You squeeze gently.
“Promise you’ll stay?”
“Always,” you smile. “I love you.”
He mumbles a quiet “I love you too,” letting you hum a soft tune as he listens to your heartbeat.
eris’ notes: i’m so emotional today i cried writing this i just want to be loved properly so bad.
warnings: none
listen to: how to go to confession
“how do i look?” you ask, turning away from your mirror and towards the boy sitting on your bed, holding your arms out to showcase your outfit.
stunning, his mind supplies. perfect, his heart reiterates. “nice,” his mouth mutters, standing up from the edge of your bed, forcing his eyes away from you and towards your bedroom door. “are you ready now?”
goshiki isn’t entirely sure when it became so hard to keep his eyes off of you, when seeing you dressed up started making his stomach feel funny, when hearing your voice bloomed this fluttery swirl within his chest.
he isn’t entirely sure when he fell so hopelessly, deeply, and completely in love with you.
he’d like to believe he just woke up one day and it was there, that warmth wedged in the center of his rib cage. that it was some straight of an arrow thing that simply pierced into his back when he let his guard down. he’d even like to believe that maybe it’s all a rouse, a simple little trick his hazy teenage mind is playing on him.
but as you smile at him, reaching to wrap a hand around his bicep as the two of you walk out of your house and down your driveway, waving back at your parents, the sweet murmur of ‘tomu, you look so nice too’—he knows better.
it’s been a slow, gradual thing.
as crazy as it sounds, that first whisper of it had to have been back when you were just kids. he remembers when you leaned in to kiss his cheek when he had fell and scraped it while playing tag. the two of you must’ve only been six at the time, but that’s too young for love really.
then maybe it was at ten, while he was laying on your bed as he listened to you gossip about something one of the other girls in class had told you. you jumped on top of him when he used his hand to make a blah blah blah motion, your smile made his belly feel icky. but surely that wasn’t it.
perhaps it was on the brink of fourteen, when you’d just gotten your heart broken by a boy too old for you. he’d sat on the steps of your front porch and let you cry into his shoulder for hours. he still remembers how his head spun when you said i only need you anyways, tomu. but no, that couldn’t’ve been it.
or perhaps it was last week, when you’d come over to his house for dinner and went to his room while he cleaned up the dishes. by the time he made it in you were asleep on his bed, having stolen one of his jackets, the sleeves over your fingers and your face smushed into his pillow. he stopped breathing then, but there’s no way.
he looks over at you now, you’re talking, he should be listening, he knows this. he hears your voice—how could he not zero in on what plagues his dreams every night—but he doesn’t really hear you.
he’s too focused on the tilt in your lips as you copy someone’s voice in the story you’re telling. too narrowed in on the crinkle by your eyes and the flutter of your lashes against your cheekbones. too zeroed on your fingers wrapped around his arm and the light squeeze you subconsciously do every few seconds.
he’s too dazed to realize you’re trying to get his attention until your fingers are raised snapping into his face.
“uh, tomu? why’re you looking at me like that?”
“wh-what?” he hums, shaking his head slightly, mind so fuzzy he’s not even realized the both of you have stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. he feels sick again, that twist in his stomach knotting tenfold. “i’m sorry, i just..”
“just what?” you ask, sliding your hand from his bicep up to his hair, brushing through his bangs like you always do. that easy smile on your lips does something to him, something drastic.
“i-“ he starts again, only to stop because his throat gets caught, chest constricting as you cant your head up at him. and what is he supposed to do?
tell you how he’s been falling in love with you since you were six years old? because, yeah, this really has been a gradual sort of thing. should he tell you that every day he thinks he can’t love you more, and he proves himself wrong? admit that becoming shiratorizawa’s ace doesn’t feel near as good as just sitting next to you does? confess that he’s absolutely smitten over his best friend?
and do what, ruin everything?
that’s what he thinks he’ll do, if he’s being completely honest with himself. he can imagine your face, your smile dropping and your gaze turning cold. but now you’re cupping his face in both of your hands, looking up at him as if he’s hung the moon and the stars, and he wonders if you’ve always looked at him like that.
because that’s how he looks at you, too.
so perhaps he can blame it on you and the racing of his heart when he blurts, “i’m in love with you!” over the pounding in his ears.
he waits for the ice, for the chill to cut through him as you let go of his face and walk away, as you leave. he never gets it though. no, he doesn’t get harsh or hate or pushing away.
he gets being tugged down, and lips on his.
goshiki isn’t entirely sure when he fell so in love with you, piece by piece slipping in like sand in an hour glass. but standing here, his face cradled in your hands and his own tugging you closer and closer as you slowly but surely become late for the party with the rest of his volleyball club friends—he knows that in this moment, this little sliver of time, he’s in deeper than he ever has been before.
the words leave his mouth again the second you pull back, his lips a little pinker than normal, a little more swollen.
“i love you,” he mumbles against your smile, his own spreading across his face, two twin dimples dipping right in. “i love you, i love you, i love—” another tug down cuts him off as you steal another kiss.
he honestly doesn’t think he can ever stop saying it—it’s like a new mantra, glued to the tip of his tongue, bound to repeat endlessly. but that’s fine, because you know you’ll never get tired of hearing just how in love he is with you.
Haha heyyyyy sorry I haven't been posting. That's my bad. I will hopefully post soon. I'm currently working on 3 Oikawa fluff requests cause I got a few after my last one. I do want to say that all NSFW requests are currently on hold :( I hope you guys understand! <3
Kaminari’s prone to getting his heart broken. It’s just a thing that happens, and he’s used to it, and he’s okay. He’s seen his mother bounce back from heartbreak countless times, and he gets it, it’s just a thing that happens.
Really.
Curled up on his couch with a three day old shirt and frizzy hair is fine, and he figures he’ll get over it. He just needs to figure out how to find the will first, and that takes time, and everyone has their slumps.
But you seem to disagree, and by the fourth day, you’re knocking down his door to get in.
“Denki,” you huff. “Have you showered at all? You look disgusting.” False. He looked utterly beautiful. Kaminari, even with his dark circles and birds nest hair, even despite his puffed up cheeks and red rimmed eyes, even sporting a stained shirt and mismatched socks with holes, is the most handsome boy you’ve ever seen.
And if it weren’t for the fact that your best friend was currently fighting wobbly lips and teary eyes, you would have had half a mind to knock on his ex’s door and show them exactly what they’re missing.
But Kaminari comes first. He always does.
“Yeah,” he grumbles. “Like four days ago.” The last part is spoken inaudibly, but you still catch it.
“That’s not normal.”
“Nothing in this society is normal,” he shrugs. With a sigh, you sit down next to him on his messy couch, shoving off candy wrappers and empty water bottles with a roll of your eyes.
“What happened?”
He shrugs, hunched over his legs as he stares at the floor, mumbling a quiet “nothing.”
“Denki.”
“I got dumped.” And it’s a simple statement, but it holds a lot of weight to Kaminari. Perhaps if he got to do some of the dumping, Kaminari wouldn’t be as phased by his lack of luck in the love department. He’d shake it off and try again.
But something tells him he’s the problem if it’s always him that’s getting dumped. And he figures he’s just meant to end up like his mother—except he doesn’t think he’ll even make it to the marriage stage to become a middle aged and divorced single parent.
“I’m sorry.” It’s all you can offer. “You’re not the problem, you know, you just haven’t found—”
“It’s just a thing that happens, y/n. I just get dumped. It’s cool.”
He says it so smoothly, it’s almost rehearsed—like he tells himself that in the mirror. With a sigh, you inch closer, pulling him into a hug, and he doesn’t fight it.
“It’s not.”
“Well, not everyone finds my jokes funny, it’s okay.” Rubbing his arm, you let his head slump onto your shoulder.
“I do. I find them funny.”
“And not everyone’s gonna have the energy to deal with my personality. It makes sense though, I can’t blame them.”
“I have the energy.”
“I’m just a lot to put up with sometimes. I get it.” And he fights the tremble of his lips as he feels the tears cascade down his cheeks.
“Hey,” you whisper, nudging him gently. “I don’t put up with you. Wanna know why?”
“Cuz I’m too tiring?”
“No silly,” you huff, turning to grab his face gently and wipe the tears. He stares at you with wide eyes when you cup his cheeks and cradle them in your palms. It’s delicate, nothing he’s ever felt before. “Because I don’t ever feel like I have to put up with you. I’m always at my best around you.”
And a few more tears slip from the corner of his eyes, but he can’t say they’re sad, and it’s okay anyway because you catch them with your thumb.
“How’s that even make sense?” Kaminari doesn’t understand how you could enjoy him and his loud mouth and random thoughts and mindless babbles and spontaneous ideas. But he doesn’t fight it either when you finally think fuck it, and press your forehead to his.
“I don’t know,” you shrug, a giddy smile on your face. “It’s just a thing that happens when I’m with you.”
Kaminari thinks he’ll give love one more shot—after all, there’s no guarantee things will turn out the same this time. And he thinks this might very well be the best thing that happens.
reblogs are really appreciated !!

miya atsumu is a showboat, a flaunt, the biggest braggart in all of japan. he knows this. you know this. everyone in school knows this. hell, you’re pretty sure every person in this city is aware of that fact.
what they don’t know, however, is that the reason he’s a showboat is to impress you.

you know kuroo well enough to know that sometimes things slip out of his mouth before he can stop them. whether it be a muttering to himself or some random fact he just remembered, you’ve always found it amusing how his filter would seem nonexistent at times. it’s something you’ve always thought to be cute in a way, charming even.
but with every good there is a bad to even it out, and kuroo’s goes hand in hand with his pretty, loose lips.
the two of you didn’t fight often, not really. maybe a few little bouts here and there and the occasional argument over who’s turn it is to do the laundry, but as far as major fights go, those come few and far between. even then, they only last a few days at most.
this fight was different.
you two had been at it for a week before it ever started to resolve in the slightest. and it was over something stupid that snowballed into more, you’re not even sure you remember the real reason it started. the reason it had finally ended though? now that you remember clearly.
“i seriously don’t even see the big deal,” you’d sighed, exasperated and defeated and just so damn tired of arguing. “why’re you blowing up about this?”
your boyfriend had turned to you then, and you swear that look on his face, along with his next few words, will forever haunt you. he scoffed, ran his hands through his hair, and muttered, “because i can’t get a a single fucking breath without you all up over me, yn! you’re just so clingy sometimes that i can’t stand it!”
and deep down, you understood what he had meant. he had a big company meeting coming up that he was trying his best to prepare for and you admit, you had been acting a little needy. deep down, you knew he just meant that he needed a little bit of space until all this business stuff was over. you knew that.
yet, in the moment, you weren’t able to think so clearly. all you heard was ‘leave me the hell alone, you’re so damn annoying’ which was more than enough to crumple what little fight you had left in you.
“okay,” you’d said, nodding and grabbing your keys and phone. “okay. i’m just— i had plans to stay at kenma’s tonight, so.”
you’d walked out after that, gotten into your car and drove to kenma’s. you texted kuroo that you’d made it safely, just like you always did. he sent back a heart and kitten emoji, just like he always did. and you spent the night crying into kenma’s shoulder while he did his best not to call his childhood friend and chew him out.
and now, you’re back at your place, sitting down on the couch to eat the takeout you ordered, two weeks after the fight that will forever be engrained in your memory. kuroo’s company meeting has come and gone, he aced his presentation, his mood is back to normal. which is why he suddenly picks up on the fact that yours isn’t.
“why’re you all the way over there, pretty?” he asks after swallowing down some chicken. his smile is lazy, hair an unstyled mess as he looks to you at the opposite end of the couch.
you just shrug. take another bite of your food. send your boyfriend a quick smile of your own as you swallow it down. “just where i sat.”
a short and light laugh comes from tetsuro, then he’s patting his hand on the cushion between you—a gesture, an invite. “c’mon,” he says, looking at you through his messy bangs, “scoot over here and cuddle with me, kitten.”
your heart hurts, it truly does, and a stinging pricks the back of your eyes. before you can even think, you’re standing up, feet taking you away to the kitchen. “i’m done eating.”
you aren’t. there’s only a few bites of your takeout meal missing at best, and your boyfriend knows that too. that fact alone does nothing to settle his nerves about the way you’re acting, the way you’ve been acting, how you’ve been keeping your distance from him and aren’t your usual affectionate self and—
oh. the realization hits kuroo like a ton of bricks, physically making his shoulders slump under the weight because he remembers now. what he said to you, the look in your eyes, the instant defeat in your voice. he realizes it all now, and he wants nothing more than to shove the words back down his throat himself.
you’re gripping the edge of the sink when you hear footsteps drawing nearer to you. the methodical padding is a noise you’d know by heart by now, just another part of kuroo to keep tucked away forever. the footfalls only stop when you feel two hands gliding around your waist, arms slipping around you, and an all too familiar chest pressing against your spine.
“i’m so sorry, kitten,” tetsuro murmurs to the side of your head, placing a kiss there before dropping his forehead to your shoulder. “i didn’t mean what i said to you. you aren’t clingy, you aren’t suffocating, you aren’t too much. i’m so sorry i made you feel that way. i miss you, all of you. and i will never shove your affection away again.”
the stray tears you didn’t mean to let out slip down your cheeks as you listen to his words. and you know, without even looking, that he means every bit of them. wiping at your eyes, you slowly turn around in your boyfriend’s arms, meeting his gaze.
“well,” you sniffle, breaking eye contact to look at tetsuro’s chest, picking at a stray piece of lint. “i am a little clingy.”
kuroo laughs, then, and you can’t help but laugh a little too. he tightens his arms around you and leans closer, pressing his forehead to yours, looking at you with absolutely nothing short of adoration. and suddenly, that fight, his words, that hurt, is furthest thing from your mind as you stand wrapped in your lover’s arms.

bokuto x male!reader
(cw: dubcon-ish, light exhibitionism, frottage, train setting, pervy bokuto who can't keep his hands to himself because he loves you too much <3)
bokuto is a lovely lovely boyfriend and an absolute fucking menace to deal with after his games. it takes a while for him to fully shake off all the adrenaline from the game, plus the added excitement he gets from winning (because obviously, you don't date losers here, no sir, your boyfriend is the best volleyball player in the whole wide world).
he's just very... clingy, to put it lightly. the second the games over the first thing he does is rush over to you and give the biggest kiss, completely taking you off guard with his sweat and musk, sloppiest fucking kiss as he spins you around and looks for his praises in you. and obviously, everyone else thinks it's cute how much he loves you, but no one really notices the way the kiss becomes so needy, his big hands starting to wander down your sides, closer and closer to your ass, trying to grope you in front of everyone.
fucking. menace.
you manage to push him off, much to his chagrin, looking at you with whiny eyes and pouting lips (that you can't help but lay a quick kiss to). you remind him now isn't the time, nor would it be appropriate to subject his teammates and the audience to watch him give into his lust addled brain, feeling a little buzzing off embarrassment as you notice atsumu and hinata fake making out as a way to tease you and your boyfriend.
unfortunately, you can't keep him off you for long, the second he's changed out of his sweaty clothes he's all over you again as you make your way home, hugging you from the back while you wait for the train, pressing kisses along your ear, your neck, breathing heavy on your skin.
"stop, kou," you hiss, digging your elbow into his muscular arm and trying to pry him off you, "everyone can see us, perv."
"so?" he tries to convince you, too caught up in the way his brain is flooding with happy hormones - you're the unfortunate victim of his one-track mind.
"s'embarassing," you complain, dragging your overgrown puppy of a boyfriend onto the train after it pulls into the station.
it's pretty late in the day, and there are only a few other people in the same cart, but despite the many empty seats bokuto keep you both standing in the corner, almost pressed against the door as he begins to shamelessly grope you. he sticks a leg in between yours, almost groaning at the feeling of your ass in his palms.
"koutarou," you warn through gritted teeth. "can't you just fucking wait until we get home?"
"no," he replies simply, "want you so bad, baby, 'nd i know you want me too." he makes a point to press his thick thigh right against the crotch of your pants, smirking as he feels a half-chub under the fabric.
but you can't- you shouldn't be getting your rocks off in public like this. even if you're mostly hidden away at this angle, and the other commuters are on the other side of the cart, they look like they're sleeping actually, so if you're quiet you could probably get away with it- no, no!
"kou..."
"please?" he asks softly, looking down at you with the sweetest eyes - a complete contrast to the way he's grinding his thigh on your cock. his hand dances along the top of your jeans, brushing his fingers along your hips, drawing a light whine from you.
you don't say anything, biting your lip and looking out the window at the passing scenery, the warm colours of the sunset making everything feel a little hazy in your mind. he places wet kisses along your jaw, unbuttoning your jeans and pulling the zipper down, moving the band of your boxers just enough for him to pull out your hard cock.
he lets a bit of saliva built in his mouth before drooling it onto his palms. then he wraps his wet hand around you, making you inhale sharply, heart beginning to race while he slowly pumps your dick. your arms sling around his neck, burying your face in his chest as you feel his heavy cock bump against yours. he begins to jerk you both off together, a mix of his and your pre-cum beading and trickling down.
you can't help but buck your hips into his palm, moaning into his skin as he praises you, telling you how good it feels, so fucking good, you're so fucking good for him, baby boy, fuck - he's almost losing his mind here and, honestly, so are you.
"baby, i love your sounds but you gotta be quiet for me, 'kay?" he mumbles, kissing along your hairline. "don't want people to notice, right? don't want them to see what a fucking whore you are, yeah?"
"shut up," you bite back, "i'm not - ah! - i'm not the one who - oh god, fucking - kou, please-"
"mm?" he slowly starts to speed up, "please, what? tell me what you want, baby, 'nd i'll give it to you."
you have to bite on his shoulder to muffle your deep moan as you cum, making him curse sharply and tighten his grip around your cocks as he cums with you. it's messy, so fucking messy, cum shooting out and coating his hand, your clothes - but you're too caught up in the bliss to care.
he laughs, the bastard, breath shaky as he places chaste kisses all over your face.
"love you, baby," he says lowly, in between kisses, "love you so much, you're so perfect for me, my perfect boy."
you grimace, starting to register the cooling cum on your skin and clothing, sighing in defeat as you say, "yeah, yeah. love you too, kou."

Sucrose
Sucrose would hold you close to her shoulder and breasts. So that way you have the comfort laying either on her breasts and shoulders. She’ll also brush the back of your hair strands too. Making sure you are comfortable.
“Oh!” Sucrose would gasp a little, as you run into her arms, placing your head slightly above her chests. She’d blush a little, before slowly wrapping her hands and arms around your neck. You let out a cold sigh.
A cold sigh that she felt on top of her bare skin. Her cheeks grew a bit red, as she just watched you slowly close your eyes due to her warmth. Her cheeks started to fade back into her regular pale color, while you closed your eyelids gently. Wishing to rest right on her chest, as it was more comfortable than laying besides her in bed.
But at last, you could not forget that you were Jean’s secretary or “assistant.” And if Jean was busy, you would be to. You let out another sigh, but it wasn’t as heavy as the other one.
“I have to go now, dear” you say lifting your head from her chest, and grabbing her chin with your thumb and hands. She let out a tiny squeal after you grabbed her chin, with her pink and red blush on her cheeks and skin.
“O-Oh okay!” She stuttered a bit, being the shy and nervous wreck she was good.
“Goodbye,” you say, pressing a short kiss, on her red lips. “Dear...”
You started to walk away, with your back turned to her and waving before leaving her sight.
She pressed the middle of her lips, were she remembered yours were once on.
Diluc
Diluc would pull you into his arms, mostly because he missed you but struggles saying the words out loud. So he’d just say them but use body language to execute his meaning. He also likes to hold you tightly, since the both of you hardly cuddle or kiss due to the amount of work you both have.
You were surprised when Diluc had pulled you into his arms, the way he clung tightly around you. Making sure one arm was around your waist, and other around your shoulder, so that way your head would be nuzzled at the crook of his neck.
“Diluc...?” You asked as your words came out muffled. “What if someone see us?”
Ever since you have gotten with Diluc, he always was much more of a private person. And liked it like that, because he could keep you to himself. But it was to tempting to see you, without having you in his arms.
Which only explains why you were in his arms now. And despite the few people who were out at such a late night, he still kept you in his arms. His warmth was always so comforting, you thought to yourself.
“I have to go now,” you say pressing a hand on his chest. “Jean must be waiting for me”
He nodded, as his arms and hands became loose around your waist and body. Allowing you to be free from his arms.
As Diluc, watched you leave his sight, he could still feeling your lingering body presence. He let out a sigh taking a sniff, as he can remember what your minty hair smelled like.
“God, I miss you already...”
Kaeya
Kaeya would be a bit clingy, if not seeing or spending enough time with you. So because of that, when he sees you whenever, he might run up to you, hugging you and holding you from the behind. Having his head nuzzled into the crook of your neck and shoulder.
You let out a slight gasp, feeling Kaeya wrap his hands and arms around your waist. You got a bit excited as your cheeks turned red and pink. Having him nuzzle his head into your shoulder. In public.
“Aw, did you miss me?” He asked, ignoring the other drunk men and women. You blush a bit harder now, as he presses a warm yet cold kiss on your cheek.
“Yeah” you mumble. “But I have to get back to work soon”
“No you don’t” he replied, letting out a sore and tired yawn. “I’ll talk to Jean about that”
You looked at him with a slightly concerned expression, but mostly confused.
“But Kaeya...” you tried to protest. You knew of you’d linger with him or go home now, you’d wake up to stacks of paper on your desk praying you did them yesterday. (Which is today.)
“Cmon now...” he smirked. “You don’t want to spend time with me, eh?”
Zhongli
Zhongli, would approach you in a way so you knew he was there. And he’d hold you in a not so private but not to crowded and public area. He’d wrap a arm around your shoulders and neck, handing you a glass or cup of well brewed tea. While pressing a soft kiss on his head, while he smiles watching you enjoy his tea.
“Dear...” you hear your husband call. You were going to turn around, but his arm slowly crept around your shoulder.
“Zhongli...?” You ask, as he places his head on your right shoulder, handing you a glass of tea. You smile warmly, taking the glass of tea with both of your hands.
You pressed the glass to your lips, tasting the nice and warm tea, enter your mouth and go down your throat with a satisfying taste and aftertaste.
“You seem to like that a lot” Zhongli comments, lifting his head from your shoulders. He smiled and so do you.
“Thank you, but I have to go back and assist Ningguang now” you state, handing and giving him the empty glass, that was once filled with his brewing tea.
