Super Mario RPG; 1996
Gasp, an actual post with "content"!
So, uh, anyone still here?
Oh god, I calibrated my main desktop screen and the saturation is even worse.
Kill it with fire.
Bah, what is this color?
Who touched the chroma knob?
100% Playthrough of Mega Man X4 for the Sega Saturn, on an Ikegami TM14-17RĀ
And now some ramblings:
Now this video has been a long thing coming. I've wanted to do a playthrough of X4 for years now, and have attempted to do so several times on several sets with several cameras and in several different formats, even going back to before this channel was even a thing. For various reasons, each time, the idea either had to be canceled/scrapped due to the quality of the recording not being up to snuff, life getting in the way, or just not being able to get a play through I was happy with. Even in this final cut, there are several areas where I either get cocky or make a stupid mistake that costs me time at best or a life at worst, extending the run time even further and even a camera hiccup in the latter portion. Preceding this specific run, a good 10+ run attempts over a week's time ended up being scrapped, with at least 4 reaching the second half of the Final Weapon stages, either due to massive camera hiccups outside of my control, improper care given to actually setting up said camera, or massive mistakes that I couldn't allow myself to leave in a finished product. I know that I have put out several game play throughs at this point, and nearly all of them having some deaths, notably Sonic 2 which has ended unbeaten more than once and Sonic 3 which had so many deaths they got their own 22 minute video, but I find myself unable to accept such poor performance in a Mega Man game, and more specifically, a Mega Man X game. This was further hampered by some health issues in the family, delaying being able to get this video out by at least a week and a half, but with it all said and done, I think I'd say I'm happy with the final results.

Just few minutes of cruising across Africa.
I havenāt abandoned the place again, donāt worry.
Working on editing a video this time. Quite different than the usual stuff.
Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis being played on the Samsung GXTV in RGB. More of the modded GXTV in RGB!Ā
Well, thatās certainly a thing. Out of nearly 500 posts, I knew at least one had to have been hit.
I know itās not really what this blog is about, and that it would seem a good portion of the people actually following have either left tumblr or otherwise, but would there be any interest in a twitter account for this sort of stuff?Ā
Have honestly never been able to gauge how much of an interest there is here even; Hear claims of their being a sizable retro gaming community, but have never seen it aside from a bit of pixel art here or there. Would really like to know how people feel, or who is even still watching/listening.

Toe Jam and Earl - Panic on Funkotron for the Sega Genesis being played in RGB on the Samsung GXĀ āGamingā TV.
This is the same monitor from the video featured a few days ago, this time showing off its modded in RGB input rather than the stock composite. Despite being what is admittedly a relatively low end, small consumer TV, it has one of the nicest pictures Iāve ever seen.
F-Zero for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System being played on a 5ā²ā B&W KTV Portable CRT.
Console in question is an early original model outputting RF directly to the TV. At some point in the future, Iād like to try and mod it to accept pure luma in for a super clean, super sharp picture.
In black and white!
