POC: We were enslaved and are still faced with inequality to this day due to racism. People want to murder us for our ethnicity and discriminate against us simply for our skin tone. We’re more likely to be suspected of a crime. Are eyeballed by security while grocery shopping. Have racial stereotypes forced on us in the media. People see us as terrorists.

LGBTQ: We can’t marry someone of the same sex. We fear getting beaten or even killed due to not being straight or cisgendered. Protesters tell us we’re going to hell. We have to constantly tell people our preferred pronouns and hope they respect them. We’re told we shouldn’t even exist because of who we are. Less likely to be considered for adoptive parenting.

Women in third-world countries: We can be killed for showing our ankles. Horribly disfigured for denying sex. We have acid thrown on our faces. Our young daughters are sold into sex slavery.

Homeless: Forced to sleep in dumpsters in extreme temperatures. People pay to have spikes put on park benches and under bridges so we have less places to sleep. We're called lazy bums and drains on society, regardless of why we're in our current situation. We go days without anything to eat.

Fat activists: OH YEAH?! WELL FOREVER 21 DIDNT HAVE THE SHIRT I WANTED IN A 4XL. BEING OPRESSED SUCKS,  RIGHT GUYZ?!!!?

Here are some things I want to point out:

- if you believe that every body is beautiful, you also believe that extremely underweight bodies are beautiful

- if you believe that people are healthy at any size, you also believe that extremely underweight people are healthy

- if you believe that you can’t tell someone’s health by their weight, you also believe that you can’t tell if an extremely underweight person is unhealthy

- if you want all kinds of bodies to be represented in the media, you also want extremely underweight actors, models and video game characters

- if you support fatspo, you should also support pro-ana and thinspo, because both underweight and obese people deserve to be glorified, motivated not to change anything about their weight, and reassured that their bodies are beautiful and healthy just the way they are

If you’re bodypositive or fatpositive, it’d be hypocritical of you not to be pro-ana and thin-positive.

In the first picture you can see a person who was ready to give up on life but decided to try to fight for it once again. She wasn’t very positive before but the day she was taking that picture she believed she could finally change her life, even though her friends and family started laughing when they heard she was going to start again, she somehow knew it was the beginning of something special and she wasn’t doubting herself for the first time! She wanted to finally start living her life! Even though she seen a reflection in the mirror of the person she hated with all her heart she decided to try to take care of that person… And that day changed herlife. It took her just a few months to transfer, it’s not only about the loss of more than 100lbs but she’s changed from a pessimist who would never leave her bed,use food to cheer herself up,cry at nights,self harm and watch pictures of underweight girls treating them as her inspirations TO a positive, full of life and energy GOAL DIGGER!Her journey has taught her that she shouldn’t compare herself to anyone, it let her discover how strong she is, she saw she could achieve ANY goal she wants.She went (and still is going)through a beautiful but very hard and challenging journey learning more and more about herself everyday. She doesn’t remember anymore the last time she cried seeing her own body or the last time she had to binge on food to feel better.Even though she’s not yet where she would like to be she truly loves herself, she no longer has unrealistic, unhealthy goals and she doesn’t try to cheat in order to get the ideal body, she WORKS HARD every single day to reach her goals. That girl is me… And I LOVE MYSELF! I understood it’s not possible to walk always on the ‘clean’ path, we always will have some obstacles to fight but they make us stronger! The most important is to keep going, no matter what, pushing as hard as we can! I believe people are able to do amazing things,we can change anything and GET anything we want it’s just a matter of the right mindset,determination and hard work! Remember it’s never too late, forget the past, forgive yourself, TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE!❤️

Thoughts

Overeating - binging - gorging - is self harm. I’ve really rarely heard it talked about this way. Most people think of it as anything but. They think of it as a lack of self control, a lack of willpower, a method of distraction..and while it can definitely be any of those things, you mustn’t forget that binging regularly is a method of self harm. So do me a favor…mention this as many times as you see fit. Whenever discussions arise about mental health, please remember to mention overeating as a form of self harm. And try and remember that losing weight (if you’ve gained weight from binging) is a way of healing the harm you did to yourself. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Felt good yesterday so i weighed myself. Lost 3 pounds! I almost binged on egg salad sandwiches yesterday. I just couldn't get enough. I got by with having 1.25 egg salad sandwiches. I could have easily eaten 3 if I wasn't keeping track of calories. A lot of people say that counting calories leads to binging but I think the opposite is true. If I don't know how many calories I am eating I just eat and eat and eat and that is what made me gain 40 pounds in 1.5 years. That is not good! So far, watching my calories doesn't make me feel deprived. I know that if I have eaten 1500 calories in a day, I am probably not ACTUALLY hungry. Just emotionally hungry. So I can tell myself that if I am still that hungry in the morning I can eat whatever I want. But usually I wake up in the morning and I don't feel like bingeing anymore. I have to do what works for me.

Day 2

So here is my second blog post. So last night I said I wouldn't eat anything else. But then I fell asleep for a bit and woke up again because I had to pick my sister up from the bar. I was so tired and really didn't want to go. So I had some more quinoa with cheese to help me stay awake . It didn't help. Then she wanted McDonald's on the way home and she said she was buying so of course I got something. I was gonna get a mc flurry and just have a little bit because it's too much dairy for me but they had their machine broken. So I ordered an apple pie out of compulsion I didn't know what to do . I'm so dissapointing. Today will be better

Here is my first post since I realized that I do have a problem with binge eating. I think this will be the best way to help me recover. Today I had 2 blueberry waffles for breakfast with syrup and cool whip. That wasn't too bad calorie wise. Then I went out for lunch with friends and had a ranch wrap with no meat. And fries. That was fine. But then I got home and all I wanted was sorbet so I had some. Then I wanted real food so I had quinoa and salad. By that time I still wanted more food especially the pizza in the fridge. But I am really trying to have less cheese as I think it really triggers the binging. So I had some popcorn. I still want the pizza. Or a cheese string. I don't know why but I still feel really hungry like there is an emptiness in my stomach. I could literally eat a whole pizza right now and I would probably still be hungry. I would also like some ichiban noodles. I think it's because I'm bored and tired. I don't know how to stop it but I drank a lot of water and I'm not going to eat anything else tonight. I can do this. I could always eat the pizza tomorrow.

To Prevent a Binge

Probably the most important; make sure you eat little bits of food throughout the day to keep you going, or else, at night when you’re relaxing and getting ready for bed, you’ll finally realize how hungry you are and you’ll want to binge.

Get rid of most of the junk food in your house. Designate one drawer in your kitchen for little snacks like chocolate bars, single serving chip bags, or other sweets. That way, if you get a craving for sweets, you have one specific place to get them, and cannot just mindlessly snack on junk scattered around your cabinets/cupboards.

Think of some things to do to distract yourself from hunger. Some of my favs are..

Chug at least one glass of ice water, or at least until you fill up your stomach and no longer have an appetite

Do your makeup. Look up a tutorial on youtube, one that either really focuses on the lips or one with a lot of product. 

Paint your nails, find a design you like (maybe a follow a tutorial on youtube) that requires a lot of time and attention.

Watch a movie

Go for a run/walk

Go online and create/add to a wish list of clothes you’ll buy when you finally reach your goal weight. If you have bought any of these clothes, go and try them on to see how much more weight you’ll need to lose before you can fit into those cute clothes.

Chew some minty gum.

Brush your teeth.

If the hunger comes on quick and is specific, it’s just emotional hunger. If the hunger is gradual and not specific, you really are hungry and should eat some fruit, apples are always a good choice, but keep the serving small.

If you think you actually are just hungry and not just craving certain foods, ask yourself if you’ll honestly eat fruit and not just junk. If so, eat the fruit, if not, like previously stated, chug some water and go find something else to do.
