i love the losers club because i know they’re all a bunch of class a idiots. like all seven of them fail at basic human skills and not a single one is immune to buffoonery. like eddie ties his shoes backwards until he’s twenty and learns that he’s been looping the lace the opposite way you’re supposed to. bev salts the water every time she boils it because she thinks it wont boil if she doesnt. ben can’t calculate percentages unless he has a calculator in front of him and every time he gets a bill at a restaurant he sweats. mike is a great cook but won’t crack eggs, he’s terrified that if he tries he’ll just shatter it to pieces somehow so he makes someone do it for him. stan didn’t retain anything from his driver’s licence test and has no clue what a right of way even is and avoids roundabouts because “they aren’t real.” richie can’t open anything with a lid and is always asking people to do it for him even if its just a tupperware. and bill has no fucking clue which way clockwise and counterclockwise are and is too afraid to ask

I wonder how much - or how little - they remember. I am somehow convinced that they don’t remember any of it, because they don’t need to remember. I’m the only one that hears the voice of the Turtle, the only one who remembers, because I’m the only one who stayed here in Derry. And because they’re scattered to the four winds, they have no way of knowing the identical patterns their lives have taken. To bring them back, to show them that pattern….yes, it might kill some of them. It might kill all of them.
