Beware of destination addiction: The idea that happiness is in the next place, the next job, or even with the next partner. Until you give up the idea that happiness is somewhere else, it will never be where you are.

Happy Moon day Art Witches!!! Let’s celebrate by working some lunar art magic. Here’s a fun project to connect with the moon and add that extra bit of magic to your paint water.
Moon Bowl
Materials:
Polymer clay
Oven
Cup/bowl
Acrylic paint
Step one: knead the clay until it’s soft and workable. Break it up into small chunks to help with the softening process.
Step two: Roll the clay out flat and in a uniform thickness, roughly ¼" thick.
Step three: Turn your cup or bowl over so that the bottom is facing up. Drape your clay pancake over the bowl and trim around the bottom edge where you want your bowl to end.
Step four: Bake your creation. Follow baking instructions on your clay package.
Step five: Take clay off the bowl before it fully cools as it will be much harder to get off once it contracts around your bowl.
Step six: After your new bowl is cooled off you can sand any parts that aren’t as smooth as you would like. Then paint your moon design on the interior of the bowl with your acrylic paint.
I’d love to see what you guys make! You can paint your moon in any phase you like. Maybe you want to paint your birth moon or make a bowl for each phase!

Hi =) I recently had the opportunity to meet David Tennant and was excited to have him sign my copy of Good Omens. A friend remarked that it seemed disrespectful to have anyone but the author sign a book. I have decided my friend is a busybody, who should mind her own paperback collection. Am I wrong?
It’s your book. You own it. You paid for it (or perhaps were given it). Nobody else gets to tell you what to do with your book. There are no book rules except those that you, as book owner, impose.
So of course you can get David Tennant to sign your book. It will make David happy to do so, and make you happy as well. I don’t mind at all, and Terry is in no position to complain any more. (Joke. He wouldn’t have minded.)
You can get your class at school to sign a book you love for you. Or you can colour it in. You can even fold down the corners of the pages if you need to, or read it in the bath. Or make it into something like a humument.
Your book.
The Real Life Kusakabe House From Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbour Totoro
A full-scale replica of Satsuki and Mei’s house from My Neighbor Totoro was created for the World’s Fair held near Nagoya, in Aichi Commemorative Park, Japan. Hayao Miyazaki’s son Goro designed and oversaw the house’s construction. Tickets for guided tours are available.
Sometimes I’m overwhelmed with the insatiable desire to learn. To know astronomy and geography and language and architecture; to recognize each constellation, planet, and star; to speak and understand all languages, be able to decipher ancient Greek and Latin text; to grow my understanding of how the human body works; study the differences and similarities of each religion; recognize the use for each herb and seed and sapling.
I want to better myself, not for fame or recognition or power. I just want to understand.
