I love that you still write initial D. You are awesome. I remember reading your fics in like high school, Sophomore, maybe? And I am in college now.
Hi hi! Sorry this is so late, but thank you so much!! I think I started writing just before I started University lol, but thanks so much for the words!! šš¤
Iāve been obsessed with an idea of reader and Ryosuke having an argument and breaking up because Ryosuke still isnāt over Kaori. After their breakup reader starts dating Kyoichi but they also have issues and break up š but Kyoichi and Ryosuke are still in love with reader oop- love the drama
Brooooo, P L E A S E DM me!! I wanna get more details on this and really cook up a good fic, this sounds amazing! š Imagine if reader and kyoichi or something make up and stay together or something if ryosuke ends up seeing both of em together and confronts them... Ooohhh boy the ideas!!
Used to smooth talk his way out of difficult situations as a kid, especially on Keisuke's behalf.
SInce Keisuke was always the roudy child, Ryo would cover for him a loooooot. Somehow always managed to get the teachers to be less harsh on his little brother with those specially chosen words and utmost respect coming off his body in waves that the teachers gave in.
It even worked on their parents on multiple occasions.
Keisuke didn't really learn his lesson their teenage years where he was still roudy, but didn't into such deep shit until he took off to join the bosozoku.
When Keisuke came back a couple years later and Ryosuke got him into street racing, you better believe Ryo whipped him into shape some.
Made him focus on his driving skills to the max and would have his brother driving till the sun came up to teach him perseverence and dedication.
On a more daily life note, he's pretty laid back during his free time.
Enjoys cooking as a hobby and relaxer.
Also likes making large dishes and a huge variety of foods for RedSuns gatherings at the Takahashi house.
Is a huge tea enjoyer but also enjoys a variety of wines as well.
Doesn't appear like he'd ever drink beer. He looks too refined for it. However, he does like certain brands and will drink it like water and has an amazing tolerance to alcohol in general.
It threw Keisuke and Fumihiro for a loop when they say Ryo drink half a case of beer and only get tipsy. Even though beer isn't that strong, it was still a lot.
He may have a mechanic team for the RedSuns to work on their cars, but he also prefers working on his FC himself. Just imagine that man in a tank top and work jeans getting greased up in the engine bay or working in the undercarriage of the car. Yum ;)
Avid book enjoyer, but unfortunately the only books he really has time for reading are his university text books.
HUGE overthinker, mainly from his racing nature and needing to deduce his opponents to the MAX. It ends up bleeding into his daily life as well and he tends to overthink and overanalyze everything.
Which also makes him super detail oriented. Everything has to be perfect, doesn't like decorations or wall hanging being slightly crooked, it has to be presented perfectly centered and straight. Doesn't like when wall hangings aren't centred with the wall or they're clustered together in a way that pictures of slightly different sizes are placed above, below, half way higher or lower than the other, etc.
Despite his stoic and mostly introverted personality, he's a really nice samaritan.
If he's at a store and see's someone shorter than him wanting something from the top shelves but can't reach, he'll get it for them and ask if there's any other items that are too high up for them that he can get for them.
Has given many elderly people a ride home or to their destination for the day in his FC. Helps them in and out of it since the bucket seats are tough for them to get in and out of and the car is very low.
Also puts his hand around corners of tables or the door seam of his car so people don't hit their heads or body on something hard and sharp.
Also automatically abides by the sidewalk rule for women, and is a giver of coats when he notices you shiver or its obviously cold outside. Especially does this for elderly women as well until their inside the place they needed to go to. They adore him.
Okii time for general relationship headcanons!
Despite how busy he is with university, racing, and managing the RedSuns and later on, Project D, he still dedicates at least one full day a week to spend time with you.
It's a breath of fresh air if you're supportive of his racing and the Project, even saying you'd like to tag along on the trips with him and the team. It also means spending more time with him that way.
Introverted, but a yapper. Talks everything cars, gets into the zone and explains it all to you, and even Keisuke if he happens to be in the room as well.
Also yaps about his medical studies, but it's more of a rant of trying to understand a certain thing for an assignment and he won't understand it fully to write it down for the paper unless he trying to explain it to himself or you outloud and then it just clicks.
If you've been together for at least a year, he'll let you drive his FC on Akagi once in a while, but if you're not also a street racer who knows how to drift and handle the car for that kind of environment, you're just taking it easy and giving it gas on the straightaways.
Will also let you borrow his car if you need to run big errands where you'll be needed a lot of space to hold a lot or big items.
Will race down Akagi with you in the car for fun so you can get your dose of high speed and adrenaline.
Takes you to spring festivals so you both can see the cherry blossoms and try all the snacks there. You each have a little matching souvenir at your houses from each festival you've gone to.
If you're with him, he won't let you buy anything. You don't get a lot of time with him anyway because of his schedule so he feels like this makes up for some of that and because this man's love language is providing.
Do you have any cooking headcanons? Or eating habits of the guys who donāt have basic cooking skills?
⢠Word Count: 1,838.
⢠Synopsis: Which boys can cook the chat, and which can't.
⢠Note: Thanks for the request Anon, I haven't forgotten about any of my other requests; I just randomly spawn the fuck in when my inspiration tells me to. :)
⢠Keisuke: Knows how to cook pretty well actually. Strikes me as a teriyaki or spicy food lover. On a regular basis his eating habits are pretty healthy, given the fact he lives with a family of doctors, or at least in the clinical/medical field. Ryosuke definitely tells him to eat better if he notices his brother eating too much vending machine or convenience store food after racing nights when its the only thing available. He tends to eat the same things like a routine, will only really try new foods if its at restaurants, but even then he'd probably order something he knows he likes regardless. When he does cook at home, he's pretty good at doing multiple dishes at once. Can make a big ass main course and handle the sides pretty much at the same time without getting frustrated that something is burning or not, he normally just uses a lower temperature to prevent that from happening.
⢠Ryosuke: This man can COOK, chat. Challenges Gordon Ramsey on the daily by just breathing. Prefers cooking at home over restaurants, but does enjoy going out occasionally. To him, making his own food for himself and family feels better, more thorough in his options of what to put in it or not, and helps him clear his head of any running thoughts when he's too focused on cutting veggies or meat and handling multiple pots/pans, or oven-baked food at once. If you make a subtle comment that you're craving a specific food, expect it for dinner a few hours later and it looks like art that you'd feel bad for digging into and ruining it. His eating habits are obviously very healthy. Besides his (and everyone's) chronic smoking habits in Stage 1, he's a real healthy guy, especially when he's gonna be a future doctor and all.
⢠Takumi: Give it up for day 137 of eating straight leftover tofu that didn't sell. Kidding. His dad probably does most of the cooking and I'm sure they at least have a decent variety from time to time, such as chicken, to beef, to pork, and lots of veggies. He definitely loves fish, so he's at least getting proteins in him. Can't imagine he goes out to eat a lot, being short on money all the time, and preferring to save it for the future. Thus, he'll prefer to just eat at home or if Itsuki takes him out for another wheeze inducing hot spring bun, he'll be more than happy to have free food. I see his eating habits to be pretty good, seeing as he doesn't really have the time nor money to splurge on convenient food or canned coffee all the time. Unlike his dad, he probably likes tofu, but like anyone else, eat the same thing for too long and you'll get sick and tired of the taste.
⢠Takeshi: THIS MAN CAN C O O K! So anyway, he can be your personal chef. This man can flip stir-fry and a shit ton of rice in a pan better than I can flip my life around. He can practically whip up anything he or you wants without even having a recipe memorised or look through something to tell him what he needs, he just K N O W S. His intuition for cooking is amazing and if the Japanese celebrated Thanksgiving, he's your man. His eating habits are definitely healthy with the occasional snack or small pack of food from a convenient store after racing or during his lunch break at work if he forgets to make something. Otherwise, he loves that protein, lots of fish and chicken, occasionlly has a nice steak and probably puts pork in his fancy ramens, like tonkotsu. If you're dating him, you are his Certified Taste Tester⢠but it's rare that anything he makes will be bad.
⢠Shingo: Day 315 of eating packet ramen. He can taste colours. Day 316, got a girlfriend, tasted meat and veggies for the first time in years. Nah, jkjk. I shit on this man too much. His diet isn't the worst, but it does probably consist of food that's quick and easy to make rather than more time consuming. Probably goes out to eat more often too for that reason and ends up finding some good places that are cheap too. He can cook at home too, he's not terrible by any means, but his dishes are simple. He'd most likely make something with plain chicken, carrots, broccoli, snap peas, and whatever else a basic teriyaki chicken is made with and just lather on some teriyaki sauce after its all cooked. If he wants his ungodly spice, he's gotta go to spicy restaurants for that cause the spice recipes elude him. Probably used too much paprika once and coughed out paprika powder.
⢠Itsuki: Probably enjoys cooking as a hobby, or for his parents so they don't have to after they get home from work. Is pretty good at cooking a variety of dishes as well; knows how to make homemade sushi of course. Enjoys going out to the occasional restaurant too with the SpeedStars, but also being a broke highschooler who invested his money into his car, he's prefers homemade food. He can cook multiple dishes at once, bake things amazingly too. He loves baking over cooking. Cookies or brownies? Hell yeah. Pie or muffins? He's on a mission. Will let you taste test anything he makes, he likes to see your reactions and does take constructive criticism well, he wants to improve.
⢠Kenji: Hidden talent that he doesn't use. Could also challenge Gordon Ramsey, but rarely cooks. Like Iketani, he eats with the guys at restaurants, or picks up some convenience store foods. When he does cook or bake, it's a masterpiece. Put him and Ryosuke in a room together and you have a banquet fit for kings. Also knows exactly what he needs and how much of everything without needing the recipe after the first time studying it.
⢠Kenta: Strikes me as a guy who loves fried food. He'll deep fry anything at home. Fish, chicken, pork, veggies, pretty much anything. Loves tempura as well, he'll make deep fried tempura oreos as dessert and the RedSuns actually eat that shit up. Even Ryosuke likes it. He doesn't fry everything all the time, he doesn't want to wear it out, but it is made at least once a week. He cooks pretty well too, probably cooked a lot for his parents as well, so he really found a flow as well as his likes and dislikes when he'd try out different dishes.
⢠Kyoichi: LOVES beer-basted fish. Fish and chips are his favourite. He gives me simple guy vibes when it comes to food and drinks. Plain food, cheap beer, he's a happy man. He rarely cooks at home, usually goes out to cheap but really good restaurants he's found over the years. Prefers those little independent owned sushi bars where it's outside someone's house and the sushi bar only has like 5 seats and it's only one guy making the food. Those are top tier for him. When he does cook, its pretty well made, nothing's burnt or ruined, just plain. If you're dating, you'll have to incorporate the magical thing called seasoning and make a few dishes for him to try before he'll even consider using spice or seasoning in whatever he makes for you two.
⢠Rin: Put him and Ryosuke in a room together, and you'll get one of two endings. 1. They duke it out and fight. 2. They make a godly combination of dinner. No inbetween. Rin actually loves cooking. It's calming, takes his mind off things, and like Ryo, it's also a nice distraction. Rin only started finding a passion for it when he realised some of his dishes tasted better than some restaurants of the same type of food. After that, he prefers cooking at home. Gou eats that shit up. His brother takes it upon himself to be the undesignated taste tester and will sneak pieces of food while Rin's not looking.
⢠Gou: As above, he prefers testing over cooking. If you're both together, he'll stay out of your way so you don't get mad and throw a spoon at him for being in the way or trying to help but is actually making it worse. He'll chat with you, and mainly do the yapping about races and the like while you're more focused on the food. You'll give him the okay to come over and taste something and see if it needs more spice, seasoning, less of something, etc. He's got VERY good senses for this sort of thing so I believe he can more so mold you to become a better cook with his suggestions and constructive criticism over him actually making anything. He gives very in depth explanations of what you should add, how long to let something sit, what temp to cook or bake it at, but as SOON as he attempts to do it for himself, somewhere, somehow, he fucks it up. World's top 10 unsolved mysteries, typa behaviour.
⢠Nobuhiko: Is a really good cook and actually helps you in the kitchen rather than the annoying "help" most people inadvertently do. He pairs well with you as a team at making food and knows without even speaking what he needs to do or mix so the food doesn't burn, or what to add to what dish at a certain point in the recipe while you switch your focus to something else for a minute. It's amazing, really. It's also cute when his glasses fog up from the heat and he has to either keep wiping them off, lift them for the fog to go away or just slide them up on his head and try to work on the food mostly blind cause it's blurry as hell for him, but he still does well.
I was wondering if you still take requests for Initial D?š
Hihi! I do, even though I'm hella slow with it all, I do keep all the requests I am sent, so if you've sent any before or want to now, I feel free to do so! Going to try to get into the writing phase again since I may have some open time coming up! š¤
Hi, Iāve been reading your initial d stories for a few years and I have to say that I love them!! I know that in a post you already said that you hope to come back soon to post content, but I canāt wait for you to write something!
sorry to bother you
Hiiiii!!! I promise y'all I'm still here and I want to get back into writing sometime soon! Been a rough year last year losing my job and working on starting my own business instead, so it's all mentally draining, but since business might be slow at first, that'll give me time to start getting those requests out, especially the headcanons first maybe to get my flow rolling again!
I still have everyone's requests, I want to do them all, so if you don't mind waiting a lil more, please feel free to send any requests in anytime I promise I keep them!! Thank you all for being ao patient and possible even rereading my old shit cause my hag ass doesn't update lmao, I appreciate you all! š¤š¤
seeing a post from you is always like seeing a stray shooting star lol
and it makes me want to re watch the anime every time tooā¦
Aww thank you so much! š¤
I know I pop in randomly and say I'm gonna pump out a crap ton of fics but then my inspiration suddenly kaputs and I disappear for an unknown length of time just to randomly spawn and drop something and leave again lmao.
Thank you all for sticking with me and my highly irregular posting schedules. I still have everyone's requests and will get to them! š
Keisuke: I envision this happening in two ways. Seeing as it's canon that Keisuke had a gf before this most likely isn't his first kiss, but this is his first one with you.
Seeing as Keisuke sometimes lets his emotions and impulses control him, he might instinctively kiss you at the most random time. It could be a couple weeks, or a month or two into you guys freshly dating and something somewhere gets his emotions acting up. Most likely a race he was in got him all riled up and if he won he'd pull you to him, arm around your middle, other hand holding the back of your neck before laying claim to your lips in a victory kiss.
If you start dating a bit before Project D starts and into when it begins, he'll be more focused on that, and around that time he's also learned how to handle his emotions better, especially during races. Less impulsive and emotional drive. I see this as more of pre-planned kiss. Once they all get a break for a weekend between all the races, he'll plan out a date with you. Both to get away from the recent stresses of racing, and also dedicate some time to you. By the end of the date he'd drive you both to somewhere secluded to just relax and be away from the world for a bit. Both sitting on the hood of his FD overlooking the city below on the highest peak of Akagi, the city lights below with the night sky above he'll take several glances at you as subtly as possible, his mind racing with how he's gonna get your attention or if he should just do it. As much as he planned, this is where he blanks out and lets his instincts do it for him. Leaning on one hand thats splayed on the FD's hood, his other gently taking hold of your jaw, and turning you to him before he leans in, lips meeting yours softly yet passionately.
Ryosuke: Definitely plans this out. Not his first kiss either since he was with Kaori, but definitely makes your very first kiss with him (and in general) special. The man simply cannot function if he does not plan anything. Will have your favourite flowers delivered to your house with a note telling you the time he'll be picking you up at for a date. This is a complete surprise to you as he made no mention of any kind of date the last time you were with him or talked on the phone. Just as you start rummaging through your dresser and closet for a proper outfit, knowing he'll probably be taking you out somewhere fancy, the doorbell rings. You get a nice looking package that you didn't order, the delivery guy saying it was addressed to you before leaving. Opening the box was a deep blue dress with a few white and diamond coloured accents. Knowing now what he was doing, you rolled your eyes lightly with a smile before taking the dress and changing into it, fixing up your hair and doing any make-up that compliments the dress and your skin tone. When the time rolls around that was printed on the note, the distinct sound of Ryosuke's FC is heard coming down the street before rolling into neutral and idling. You open your door just as he's about to knock, seeing him dressed in the same colours as you. Deep blue shirt, with white pants and shoes. The way he'd compliment your colour choice and sense of style with his deep voice and soft smirk makes your knees wanna turn into Jello. Once he's helped you into his FC as well as helping you out once you arrive at a beachside restaurant, he'll wrap his black suit jacket over your shoulders as you both go to check in for the reservation. He's got you in a corner table indoors where it's warmer but with large windows to enjoy the sunset beach view in its entirety. By the time dinner's done, he'll take you for a short walk down the nearby pier, arm wrapped around your waist before he gently pulls you to him, tucking a few strands of hair behind you ear and hooking his finger under your jaw, having you look up at him just a bit more before pressing his surprisingly soft lips to yours in slow, gentle movements.
Takumi: Not planned at all and it's both of your first kisses together and in general. Tofu boy doesn't even plan his races, so he definitely wasn't planning on any kisses. He pretty much runs on pure instinct and adrenaline. The first kiss probably took place after a tough race of his, maybe the gumtape deathmatch, since he was so pissed off and that adrenaline was high. As soon as he passes the finish line on Akina, he doesn't go home, he actually drives straight to your house, mentally praying you're still awake at this hour. Having been on a few rides with him in the 8-6 you recognized the sound of the engine revving into your neighbourhood a mile away. Getting curious and wondering if something happened to him, you quietly head downstairs to not wake your parents and step outside in the tiny driveway. Not even a moment later Takumi pulls onto the shoulder in front the driveway, the handbrake sounding and him getting out of the car, not evening bothering to shut it off, the headlights still flipped up and alert like eyes. The headlights illuminate him for only a moment as he speedwalks past the car and up to you. Before you can even ask what he's doing here or what was going on, he takes hold of both your cheeks pulling you in for a deep, emotional kiss. It only gets deeper each time he tilts his head the other way, parting away to get in a quick deep breath before meeting your lips again. You can tell he's trying to take out all his emotions and frustrations with the kisses, and the more you return them with just as much fervor as him, his body starts relaxing more he lets out frequent sighs that are borderline small moans due to your lips being attached like glue. By the time he fully pulls away, eyes half-lidded, his soft lips as red as his cheeks and ears he tries to stutter out an apology for getting so ahead of himself, but your only response is a giggle before giving him a soft peck, silently telling him its okay.
Takeshi: You somewhat plan it. Not your first kiss, but it is for him. Despite having kissed someone before, your nerves are still on fire and your wondering how you're gonna pop the question or if you just do it. You tagged along with him to his race against Keisuke that he ended up losing. By the time people started leaving, you both do as well. As he drives down Myogi Pass, following the speed limit after a rough night and with how much it was pouring rain. About halfway down the pass you told him to pull over for a minute, leaving him to react with a soft 'huh' and a raised pointed eyebrow as he glanced at you. Listening nonetheless, he put the hazards on and pulled onto the shoulder of a corner so he wasn't blocking the lanes. Before he could ask what the matter was you unbuckled yourself quickly before grabbing his jaw, turning him to face you as you slammed your lips onto his. His eyes widened in surprise for a moment before processing what was happening and giving in easily. As soon as he reciprocated you released his jaw, tangling your hand through his damp hair before settling to hold the back of his head. He did the same but with a little more difficulty due to him still being strapped in with his harnesses. You chuckled lightly at his frustrated sigh, giving a quick "Don't worry about it Tak, besides I like when you're restrained a bit" before kissing him again. You could practically feel the heat coming off of his cheeks from your words but also how he intensified his kisses like a challenge. The background noise of the rain pattering on the R32, the occasional swipe of the windshield wipers, and the rythmic sound of the hazard lights clicking all melded together as you both got lost in your own little world. His cute little sounds of sighs, grunts and light moans kept an ever present smirk on your face that he was determined to wipe off.
Shingo: His first kiss since you're the first one he's dated. It'd happen after a few weeks of being together, or roughly a month. You made a half-joking bet that if he won his next race you'd let him kiss you however he wanted. However, he took his bet V E R Y seriously. Bro is now determined to win at any cost. And of course, he's using his beloved gumptape to achieve this victory. Least to say he won, whether it was a dirty win or not, but he reminded you smugly you didn't specify HOW he needed to win, just that he had to. Now here you were, having been driven to a secluded part of the pass in the opposite direction away from everyone, the gumtape he had taped around his hand and wrist for the race was still attached to him, but the extra bits of it that was to go around his wheel is now wrapped around your wrist and hand, intertwining your and his hand together. That ever present smirk on his face only widened when he had you layed back on the hood of his EG, your and his bound hand settled above your head as he stood between your legs, leaning down over you leaving a trail of teasing neck kisses and a nip at your ear before he finally planted his lips on yours. He was practically indecisive about how he kissed you, switching between slow and passionate, to fast and rough, to french kisses, and switching again.
Itsuki: Definitely his first kiss. He probably tried to plan it with that dating book he read when he planned dates with Saori, except he's hopefully learned his lesson after that to wait a bit, making sure you're more comfortable first and ask first unless you end up initiating it. I imagine this as more of giving him a light peck or a little longer of a kiss after a date or when he drops you off at home. Bro's nose bleeding and bragging to the Akina gang about it for w e e k s.
Iketani: Better than Itsuki, also his first kiss. He takes you around and several dates first, and even waits until you're both officially dating to kiss you. He knows by then that you're comfortable with him so he'd end up planning the kiss to be after a romantic date somewhere. Most likely a beach and you two stay until sunset. He walks with you back to his S13, packing everything away for you as you stand in front of the hood of his car watching the sunset. He comes back around and sits on his hood, patting the spot next to him to let you know you can do the same. As you both enjoy the view together in the vast parking lot, his car parked near a railing giving you both a front seat view of the ocean and sky. He'll lightly call your name after a few minutes, waiting until you turn to look at him before he leans in, gently planting a kiss on your lips, both being warmly illuminated by the red sky.
Kenji: Not his first kiss in general, but his first with you. He doesn't plan it, instead going off instinct. He gives off chill vibes, like someone who people just feel totally relaxed and comfortable around without even knowing him. Thus it's not really surprising when you fall for him let alone being the one to initiate the kiss. You give him a peck on the cheek as a thank you for bringing you along to a race to watch. He wouldn't let you pay for the gas he used to get you, so you had to make up somehow. He nearly slammed the brakes of his 180 on the way to the top of Akina when you kissed his cheek. He ended up speeding up a bit to get to the top faster and as soon as he pulled into an empty space to park, he leaned over the center console to plant a long kiss on your lips before pulling away with a cheesy grin. Though it quickly turned to a smirk when he realised Iketani and Itsuki saw and were fuming.
Kenta: You both started dating shortly before he joined the Project D team. It's neither of your first kisses in general, but your first with each other. He was telling you about the next expedition he was going to with the team and it was going to be a pretty late night. You didn't mind, seeing as he spoke so passionately about this stuff, you even made him a mini buffet of food to take with him but he's easily distracted and forgot to take it. You noticed it sitting in the fridge the next day and his team was already on the move to the next region so you took matters into your own hands and drove over to the pass they'd be at. It was dark by the time you got there and saw the three vans sitting at the base of the pass. Kenta's attention was drawn to the car pulling up and was shocked to see you. After telling him he forgot all the food and you decided to not only deliver but visit and see what the team was like and what he did for it, he couldn't help but pull you into a hug and plant a loving kiss on your lips for your dedication.
Kyoichi: Your first kiss, not his. It was purely instinctual and even emotion driven. You'd been dating for almost a month and a half, Kyoichi having been the one to ask you out after he saw you one day staring at his Evo with such interest. You'd think a cold, and supposedly emotionless man like Kyoichi wouldn't have been affected by petty jealousy, but what's an Emperor to do when his woman is getting flirted on by some rando at the bar? Deciding to take matters into his own hands seeing as you were too sweet for your own good to outwardly be rude to the guy and leave, Kyoichi came up behind you, putting a hand at the back of your neck, drawing your attention to him. "Get your drink?" he asked passively, and you nodded, holding up your glass to show him before he gave a short and deep, "Good" before pulling you gently against him and walking a few steps away from the guy that was chatting you up. Kyoichi moved his hand from your neck to the side of your jaw tilting it to make you look up at him before he leant down to plant a possessive kiss to your lips before pulling away to continue walking you back your shared spot.
Rin: Neither of your firsts in general (assuming he's kissed Kaori before and Ryosuke didn't fully cuck him on that too lmao.) You both started seeing each other long after Kaori, so he's learned his lesson about being mean and manipulative with women he wants. He lets you take the big steps at your comfort levels. Waits for you to come to him, so he can be sure you're comfortable with it and he's not pressing you into something too quickly. However, he did plan an extravagent date with the hopes it would lead you into wanting something more with him. Least to say, it worked. Similarly to Ryosuke's HC, Rin took you to a nice restaurant, nice drinks and view of the city below. Your outfits matched but you had little purple accents and he had his small skull belt chain. When you both finished and walked back to the R32, him getting the door for you and making sure you were settled before going to his side. When you asked if he wanted to try something different on the drive home he agreed, thinking you wanted him to take a different route, yet was pleasently surprised when you lifted yourself off your seat and settled yourself sideways on his lap, legs hung over the center console, heels resting on the passenger seat and your arm hooked around his neck for support, fingers playing gently with his long hair. Rin had a small smirk on his lips as he adjusted the seat a bit to go further back yet not hinder his need to push the clutch all the way in. His left arm rested over your legs so he could shift smoothly through gears, his right hand on the wheel and your back leaning against it a bit. When he pulled onto the empty highway, headlights illuminating the dark road, he took his shifting hand to your chin, turning you to him and tilting his head to get a better angle at both kissing you and watching the road. He hummed lowly when he felt your arm hug the back of his neck a little tighter and your lips move in sync with his.
Gou: Not his first kiss, but yours. Not planned with him either he just goes full send. Of course he waits till you're comfortable with him, but the night he takes you to his home course to just escape from the world for a bit, both of you sitting on the hood of his NSX watching the stars and lights of the city below, he jumps at the opportunity. He leans to the side a bit, placing a soft kiss on the shell of your ear, before using your sudden attention to him capture your lips softly. He runs a hand through your soft hair as you lean into him, a smile appearing on your face as he hums happily, your smaller fingers intertwining with his on the hood of the car.
Wataru: Definitely not his first kiss, this guy screams experience, hehe. He also screams possesiveness. Another jealous guy like Kyoichi, someone spectating a race at Taru's homecourse decided to flirt with what was his. He noticed pretty quickly, seeing you awkwardly sitting on the hood of his Levin as a guy continued complimenting you on your ride. As Wataru approached he could hear you trying to explain it was your boyfriend's car but telling the guy was like talking to a brickwall. When you noticed him stand next to you, he was focused on the guy bothering you, giving him an annoyed, "If you're done hitting up my girl, feel free to leave. Now, preferrably." Not bothering to give him anymore attention, Taru turns to you, lifting you off the hood, pressing a firm kiss to your lips and pulling away to wrap an arm around your waist as he walks you both away to the other side of the lot.
Nobuhiko: Definitely planned, it's in his nature. Most likely both of your first kisses. He sets up the whole day as a date, taking you to several places, some of which are new to you both, some are familiar, and by the end of the day he takes you to a local festival that takes place at evening and night time. Through the crowd of people you both find a quieter spot in the park, the fancy lights of the decorations and the whole set up has a calming, romantic air about it. You both sit under a big tree, unwinding from traversing through the crowd for a few minutes before you both meet each other's gaze. Time seems to slow down and you're both flicking your eyes between each other's lips and eyes before you're the first to lean in and he follows. The kiss is soft and loving, lasting for a few seconds but feels like minutes. You both pull away for some air and Nobu takes his glasses off before gently cupping your cheek and pulling you in for another kiss.
I see youāve written a fic for him before but I wanted to know your general thoughts on Bunta?
I barely remember my first impressions of Bunta, but I know I've always liked him. His cool, nonchalant, "I don't give a fuck" attitude was always kinda funny to me in a good way. I love how Yuichi is basically Bunta's version of Itsuki, and loves how Takumi improves in races and calls Bunta and he's all, "Yeah? Well obviously..?" like it's an automatic given to Bunta that his son would excel. Also the fact that he's always like "I'll always be better than Takumi" or anyone in terms of racing, like a humble bragging if that makes sense.
I also love the subtle fact that he always tweaks the 8-6 for Takumi and can easily pick up on what races he's about to partake in and knows exactly what to change the 8-6's settings to as if he already know how the opponents are gonna act and drive.
Like Takumi, I also found his cryptic advice frustrating but enjoyable at the same time. Like an anticipation for the viewers, but also gave us the same frustration he gave Takumi that it wasn't good advice if at all until later.
Of course, my favourite part of him is when he takes Yuichi for a drive and just wants to have a smoke. Bro gives zero shits that Yuichi is about to shit in his car from fear lmao. It's pretty much in that scene where we see just how similar Bunta and Takumi are. We see Itsuki and Iketani lose their shit when Takumi drives them around on Akina, and we're like, okay, sure, they're teens, they're gonna be crazy and dramatic with this stuff, then it goes to Bunta and Yuichi and it's the same thing just with older men. The mirroring of the two is funny.
I also love how we see him get softer on Takumi after the 8-6's engine blows, it shows that despite how cold and blunt he always seems on the outside, he's soft on the inside and does actually care.
On an ending note, this might be a hot take and I might sound like Natsuki on this, but I can see Bunta being a lowkey dilf. Nothing crazy, but I at least see it as he's a good looking dude for his age, and not going to the extent of Mercedes Man. Something about older guys who have that colder exterior with the 'i don't care' attitude topped off with the softer inside just hits man.
Do you have any hc, thoughts or anything but with Takumi? Im so in love with him ššš feed me please
This is a whole collage of anything that came to mind for me so it's quite a lot since I'm a sucker for detail, lol. Loved the idea Anon, hope you enjoy! Also thank you to @skeleton-beneath-this-skin with the brainstorming help! ā¤ļø
As I've personally headcanoned in my fic with Bunta, I'm a firm believer that he scrunches and twitches his nose when concentrated.
He might also poke his tongue out as well and never realise it until someone points it out.
Probably ends up with chapped lips a lot and doesn't understand why they're dry all the time so he's constantly carrying a tube of chap stick in his pocket.
Honestly, I have no idea where, when, or how I've come to headcanon this, but for some reason I've always believed that if you tap on either one of his shins when he's zoned out/daydreaming, it'll wake him right up. Just woosh instantly pops him out of that state and he'll just look at you like š³ h u h ?
You'd think with how he's zoned out all the time, he wouldn't be too smart a guy, HOWEVER!!
I definitely think he's smarter than the anime lets on, and I'm not talking about anything racing related as of right now.
Think about it, besties. High school sucks ass, right? All this crap you gotta force yourself to understand the concepts of, and most of it is probably not interesting in the slightest, which makes it even harder to comprehend.
Not to Takumi. Sure, he's not gonna be a genius with perfect grades, but he definitely passes all of his class with a B- or higher.
Tak barely has time to think, let alone overthink a concept of school material, so instead of trying to understand why it is the way that it is, he simply... does. He basically goes, "there is no think; only do."
He just copies what the teachers explain and it sticks. He doesn't think about it. Take math for example.
The teacher writes down a specific equation with specific numbers. Now, the assignment is the same equation, but different numbers. Some people, myself included, HATE this. It makes it feel like it's harder to solve it now and looks like a whole new equation.
Takumi however, just switches the numbers from whatever the teacher wrote, to the assignment's numbers and solves it no problem. Itsuki HATES him for that. Man's completely jealous.
It's the same with how Tak learned to drive manual and the 8-6. He didn't overthink the concept of why you need a clutch or why you need to shift gears and use the pedals in a specific order, he simply did it and didn't question it. The SpeedStars make fun of his simple mind, but oohhh how I envy it.
Onto the next topic. I feel like some of his pet peeves would be being called "Kumi" cause it sounds more feminine, but Tak and obviously his full name is fine.
Doesn't like the sound of dragging feet, i.e shoes dragging on pavement, but likes the crunchy sound of walking on loose pavement, i.e those little pebbles on the shoulder of the road. Oddly specific, but I see it in him.
Doesn't like his hair or head being overly touched unless it's with his S/O. Is fine with it if one of his buddies is trying to get something out of his hair that's stuck, but for anything else, leave his head alone.
Is probably clothing selective, thus why he tends to wear the same or very similar outfits a lot. Certain textures bother him, so a simple soft, cotton shirt like his usual white one is perfect for him and he probably bought a crap ton by the multi-packs. Same with his jeans or kahki-textured pants.
Loves the feeling of silk, hates velvet. He'd be on cloud 9 sleeping on silk bed sheets, but hand him a velvet blanket and the texture that isn't as smooth when you push it against its flow makes his skin crawl. Idk how else to explain it, but its like he's mostly fine with following the flow of the velvet like how an animal's fur coat flows one way, but as soon as he brushes his skin the opposite way against the flow, he's done for.
Moving on to more of his general likes and dislikes, he loves sour candy but can't handle too many sweet things. The sugar gives him teefie aches. š
Loves spicy food, can't handle hot food. Like that hot bean bun Itsuki gave him in early Stage 1 and he starts fucking dry heaving. š
With spicy food, he can probably handle a lot and call it mild. Seeing as wasabi is commonly used on the side with many foods in Japan, he probably loves to use a lot of it for taste as well as spice so if you're dating him and can't handle spice or wasabi well, you're gonna look at him like he's psychotic.
(Side note, I also headcanon this for Shingo. Something about Ratman tells me he could eat the spiciest curry or sushi or whatever and be like, "ehh, it tastes good, just ain't spicy enough." and shrug it off. Meanwhile you'd probably have a running nose and gone through a box of tissues. He could probably eat a single ghost pepper and either finally fucking die, or be like, "Hey! Finally something with the right amount of spice! š" He's annoyingly cute.)
Anyways, back to Takumi! I believe his favourite colour(s) would either be blue, green, and/or white.
His favourite meat is salmon, also loves fatty tuna when sushi restaurants get it in season. His favourite veggies are broccoli and carrots. I see him eating fried tofu, chicken and mixed veggies with rice a lot at home. Whatever they don't sell at the shop they probably make it for dinner to save money and food.
Loves raspberries and strawberries, can only eat a small handful of blueberries before he gets sick of the taste (same with black olives).
Likes Eurobeat, but doesn't blast it. I see him playing it lightly like Yuichi did in the car when he past Takumi in the first episode. Just simple background noise.
Probably likes the Move band as well that the anime plays a lot, so I see him liking a bit of pop music too. Not a fan of metal or rap but likes the occasional classical song. It just makes him more tired, honestly.
Loves tea and coffee, pretty much any kind. Occasionally partakes in a fruit smoothie or a soda but not often.
Also a water chugger. I see him always having a glass or bottle of water on his bed shelf for the middle of the night when the sudden witching hour thirst wakes him up.
On to what ya'll have probably been waiting for: Relationship HCs! (Once again thanking @skeleton-beneath-this-skin for this part of the brainstorming!)
Tak is great boyfriend material, however is probably too shy for anything PDA, but will make up for it in other ways!
I do, however, see him holding your hand in large places like a mall just incase he spaces out and accidently loses you!
His hold would transition to hooking his arm in yours or holding your waist if you both end up in a crowded area, so he can both see and feel that you're with him the whole time and you don't get separated.
He's a strong believer in the sidewalk rule without evening knowing that it exists. It's just a subconscious instinct for him to walk on the outer part of the sidewalk closer to the road and you on the inside.
He's a great person to vent out your emotions to!!
If you're at his place or yours in either of your rooms and you had a bad day, he'd pick up on it easily through your body language before you even get a word out. If you're the type to go silent when things bother you, he'd notice easily since you're not your talkative self like you usually are with him.
If you ask him if you can just vent for a few minutes, he'd nod with a hum, getting himself comfy on the bed and leaning back against the wall.
Crossing his legs, he'd motion for you to sit on his lap, and help you wrap you legs around his waist as you lean into his chest. He'd rub your back and hair as you vent, and if he had an okayish or worse day as well, the rubs actually help him calm down too.
He ends up distracting himself with the motions, and feeling you on top of him is like a weighted blanket, simply bringing further comfort knowing you're here with him.
He will most likely zone out while you're venting, absentmindedly nodding along to your background voice. If you're used to this behaviour of his, this can work out great and here's a few reasons.
Firstly, he won't give you advice or solutions that you don't want if he's not listening to begin with lol.
Secondly, you're venting just to vent and get it off your chest with no judgement. Thus, literally talking TO him like a wall, helps more than keeping it bottled inside and talking about it to yourself in your head, whether he hears it or not.
Lastly, his calm demeanor ends up helping to calm you down faster as well, the more you talk and the more he rubs soothing patterns and pressure into your back, arms, hair, etc.
Another big part of your relationship with Takumi is napping.
Hell yeah, imagine taking a fat ass nap with the King of Sleep. āš»š
Especially if he's in those silk sheets from earlier, ya'll are goooooone. Out.
Imagine being in bed with him in the winter time, under some soft and comfy blankets, maybe even a heated one. Cold pillows under your head and you're nuzzled up against Takumi and your pillow in that specific position that has you tapping out instantly. Ugfhhh... THE DREAM.
Next up, him driving with you in the 8-6. Certified passenger princess in the famous Trueno. Always kicks Itsuki to the back seat. If he keeps complaining like that, he's gonna toss him in the hatch next like he's a crate of tofu.
Doesn't mind if you sit or lean on the car, he knows you're gentle with his baby and his eyes always fall back on you when you're on it with a blush.
Silently relishes in the fact you're dedicated to be at every race he's in, always looking back at you before he takes off down the pass, ensuring you're the last person he sees before he drives off.
If you're dead set on being there for his Project. D travels, he'll tell you, you don't need to go every time, and he understands if one of their stops is too far and late at night for you.
Will be happy and feel bad at the same time if you do attend somewhere far and ride with him in the 8-6, meaning you're gonna be stuck there with them until they leave, instead of bringing your own car and being able to go home if you need or want to.
If you've got an adventurous personality and travel with him a lot for Project. D, and even before, he'd like to drive you around to places you want to visit, shops, onsens, restaurants and the like.
I don't see it happening all the time, but it may be a tad more frequent during Project. D, but he's still kinda a broke teenager, especially after Bunta used all his money for the new engine, so I don't see him wanting to splurge a lot.
Personally, if it were my idea to go places that require spending money, I have the full intention of buying things myself, and at the very least my half of the restaurant bills.
If anyone agrees to this or does the same, Takumi would feel like he got a mountain lifted off of him lol. Poor boy would be hella worried about going out so much.
Of course, if he ever had the idea to take you places, it would be a vice versa scenario and he'd pay for it all, of course.
On to holidays, I see him enjoying them more once you come into his life. It was said in the show that he and his dad didn't celebrate Christmas since he didn't have a mom or see extended family, so he wouldn't get more into it until the season comes around and sees how excited you are for it.
Same with other holidays, he'd get into some simple aspects of Valentine's Day, get you chocolates, a plushie of your favourite animal, and maybe a little dinner somewhere.
He'd like Halloween too, but dress up minimally if at all, rather enjoying seeing you all dressed up and going the whole nine yards. He would wear matching outfits for you if you asked him to, though.
Overall, Takumi would be a really great boyfriend. Definitely husband material.
Links to small blurbs and asks I've answered. It's not much, just some explanations, opinions, and personal headcanons or actual canon things about the characters that stand out to me or my lovely askers! [Mainly for me, just so I can easily come back to these if I'm need of ideas for specific things lol.]
Kenji š I can literally picture myself holding a mirror in front of his face to check his breathing when heās sleeping like the dead š¤§
I knowww, it's probably cause he has to deal with Iketani and Itsuki's crap all the time, plus any kind of racing stress he's had to deal with, like when he almost raced Keisuke. Bro clocks out at night to get away from it all probably. š
If you have time could you do headcanons for what itās like to sleep together with the racers? Like who hogs the blanket, talks in his sleep, cuddles the whole night, etc?
⢠All Initial D Male and Female Characters
⢠Word Count: 3,039.
⢠Synopsis: In which you learn the ups and down of sleeping with street racers.
⢠Note: Thank you Anon, I loved this one! Never thought about what it'd be like in detail to sleep with these guys, hehe!
Keisuke: A blanket AND bed hogger. Since heās used to sleeping in the middle of his old twin sized bed, heād have the die-hard habit. I see sleeping with him going several different ways depending on who is in bed first, and if you go together.
You go to bed first. Since heās a night owl with racing he doesnāt normally get to bed until the twilight hours. So, if he comes home to you already asleep, heāll weasel himself into bed quietly and even readjust the blankets for you so your covered comfortably and they arenāt all crinkled up. Heād snuggle up into you, spooning you at first since youāre already nice and warm. He falls asleep quicker that way, and this is where the āfunā begins. At least an hour into him falling asleep, heāll start rolling around and adjusting positions, so you can bet his legs get tangled in the blankets and take it all with him. Your sleeping self most likely wonāt notice until you get woken up from being cold or feeling him practically wrestle around in his sleep and accidently kick you in the leg.
He goes to bed first. In the rare chance heās in bed and asleep before you, heās already got the blankets scrunched up and heās in the middle of the bed. I see him laying on his back, his arms are spread out and one of them curls back in so his head is leaning against his hand, kind of like a flexing pose (like that meme of the guy whoās sleeping like a medieval portrait of a damsel in distress). His legs are spread and one is bent at the knee, blanket wrapped around them as well. I imagine him as a heavy sleeper, and since he goes to bed so late from racing, he just taps out from exhaustion the second his head hits the pillow. Thus, you could practically wrestle the blankets from him to readjust it how it should be and he wonāt even budge. Heāll mumble something at most or sigh and thatās about it. By the time you get into bed youād either try to push him to his side, or just curl up into him like he does to you since that spot and him are already warm.
You both go to bed together. He loves to cuddle somehow. Whether its spooning you, or having you lay your head on his chest, or lay entirely on top of him for a bit, heās happy. I see him wanting you to lay completely on top of him if he had a stressful night of racing, and your weight would imitate a weighted blanket to him so itād help calm and relax him. I donāt see this as a comfortable falling asleep position on your part, so when you feel ready to tap out, youād just slide off him and either cuddle into his side or have your own space. Hopefully you fall asleep before him otherwise youāll be up for a while fighting for your blanket rights.
Ryosuke: Actually stays on his side, god bless. Doesnāt move a lot when asleep, but heāll roll over, adjust his arms and legs a bit while awake trying to find that comfortable spot and position that just taps him out. Is quiet as well, no snoring or talking. Heāll occasionally sigh deeply, but it isnāt normally loud enough to wake you. Enjoys light cuddling with you on his side, head on his chest, as he gently rubs his hand up and down your back or side. I see two ways of sleeping with him.
His bad habit of overworking and overthinking keeps him up at night, making it take forever for him to fall asleep. If you both go to bed together, youāll most likely fall asleep before he does, but I also see him as a sigher when he canāt fall asleep. Itās frustrating when your mind wonāt shut off when itās time to sleep. If he starts the sighing while youāre still awake, itāll probably take you a while to tap out as well now. You could try asking him whatās on his mind, but be ready for an infodump. Hopefully, getting that off his chest and even talking it out will help him figure out his solutions that he can be satisfied with until tomorrow and he falls asleep fine after. Another snippet is if you do fall asleep even before or during his sighing, heāll decide to just observe your sleeping form if thereās enough light in the room to make out your features. It helps distract him from his thoughts when heās focused on you. If he canāt see you, heāll brush his fingers along your neck, arms, waist, and hips, mentally mapping your form with his eyes closed until he falls asleep that way.
Like Keisuke, heāll probably fall asleep quickly after a late night out on the mountains. If he does this, heāll at least pull you to him so youāre spooned before he taps out. Likes to have your head in line with his chest, even if your back is to him. Has to have that space to breathe in the cold A/C air, or just have his nose be unobstructed by something that cuts of the airflow if that makes sense.
Takumi: Stomach sleeper hands down. The episode where his dad wakes him up, and heās on stomach only reinforces that idea and he sleeps like that a lot. He wonāt snore unless his neck is craned in a weird way that obstructs his airflow; breathes through his nose too. Since heās on his stomach a lot, he doesnāt move around much except for a big of leg adjusting and maybe his arms a tad, so I canāt imagine heās a blanket hogger or tangler. Will fall asleep hella quick if he lays his head on your chest or stomach, an arm wrapped around you and his hand splayed across your back. If his hand makes your back uncomfy, heāll hold your waist, occasionally giving it little comforting squeezes. He probably had a stuffed animal as a kid and would squeeze it periodically to help him fall asleep, so the habit continued on with you. If you rub his head, shoulders or back with him on you like this, heās out in record time. Gives pleased hums and little sighs, definitely falls asleep with a little smile on his face. Adorable baby boy.
Takeshi: Back sleeper. I envision him having a sore back after work so it helps him get rid of the pain when his back is straight and flat against the bed. He might sleep on his side occasionally if heās got no pain, but heāll probably wake up with a wee bit of soreness cause his spine was curved or he ended up moving to a weird side position for too long. Is also quiet for the most part, but will snore if his neck is craned weird like Takumi. I feel like heād also twitch in his sleep when dreaming. Like his dreams would be hella vivid, his emotions feel real too so he starts physically moving a bit, most likely just his fingers or little nose twitches, furrowed brows etc. On rare occasion will he mumble or talk, again probably from a dream. A huge cuddler as well. Heās also your personal heater. Doesnāt hog the blankets at all because heās so warm, but still needs a cover of some kind to be comfortable enough to sleep in. Prefers to have you curled up on his side, head on his arm or chest since heās a back sleeper. If he ends up on his side, heāll spoon you as well and nuzzle his nose into your neck, possibly even hang his leg over yours, or vice versa. Doesnāt normally have trouble falling asleep, even after a stressful race. He probably clocks out when he gets home and just wants to forget about it so he doesnāt tend to overthink things or have a hyper brain at night.
Shingo: Sleeps in pretty much any position, doesnāt care. As long as whatever heās sleeping on is comfortable, heās good. Heās definitely slept in the EG before so if he can sleep in that, practically anywhere is good for him. Since heās pretty skinny, I imagine heās kinda flexible and nimble enough to sleep in weird positions and it doesnāt really affect him when he wakes up. Like if heās on his side, heād probably have his hips leaning forward or something with his legs more in front of him so heās twisted at the waist/hips but wonāt wake up with any soreness or pain. In terms of cuddling, heās more of a switch. Likes to have you on him, on his side, spooned, whatever, but also likes laying on your chest/stomach, or being spooned in a way where heās on his back, and youāre latched onto his side like a leech, legs wrapped around his hips/legs and arms hugging his chest with your head on his bicep or in the crook of his neck. The only noise he really makes is, instead of sighing like normal, heāll kind of hum instead? Such as if he sighs out, itāll come out as a low, āmmmmā like a quiet microwave lmao. With his voice being naturally nasally, he doesnāt make those nose whistle sounds in his sleep unless heās sick. Heāll do the same if he makes a big adjustment, such as rolling over to his other side, or from his back to his stomach, vice versa. Sometimes hogs the blankets if he moves into a weird position. Will sometimes sleep in an L shape with his legs straight out in front of him so if he does that facing away from you, the blankets are his unless he moves smoothly enough that they donāt move.
Itsuki: Is as loud in his sleep as he is when awake. Good luck, besties. Definitely a mouth breather and snores. It gets worse cause his mouth will dry out quicker so when his tongue sticks to the roof of his mouth its like a fuckin megaphone was put in front of him. Complains about being too cold or too hot, so it could be 50/50 for the blanket war. Will cuddle if given the chance but has a vice grip, so again, good luck getting out of that.
Iketani: Is usually pretty warm, so heās only half covered by blankets; doesnāt hog them much either. His snoring is on and off. Breathes through his nose, mouth closed, but still snores anyway. Only stops when he moves positions and typically is quiet when on his back. Likes to cuddle when awake but heāll eventually turn away from you after heās asleep. If he wakes up in the middle of the night and realizes youāre not there, heāll pat around till he finds you and goes back to cuddling before sleeping again.
Kenji: Is concerningly quiet and still. Once he gets comfy, heās in that position for nearly the whole night. His breathing gets really shallow and slow once asleep so it sometimes spooks you and you have check if heās even alive. Since he breathes every few seconds with a pause in between each exhale, you have to check his pulse or listen for his heartbeat. Likes to cuddle on you most. The usual head on your chest, shoulder, or stomach is his go-to. Like Iketani, once asleep he tends to separate from you and then doesnāt move after that. Not a blanket hog, but he probably takes up bed space and weasels a bit into your side.
Kenta: Not a huge sleep or bedtime cuddler. Prefers to do that during the day. Heās also a back and stomach sleeper. Only time he goes onto his side is to flip over. If you want cuddles at night, youāll have to do it after heās asleep and weasel yourself under his arm if heās on his back. A bit of a sigher, but doesnāt snore. Since his voice is nasally like Shingo, heās probably got a stuffed nose most of the time, so when he sleeps his breathing makes those little whistling sounds through his nose.
Kyoichi: Also concerningly quiet. Doesnāt make noise unless heās sick, feel like heād snore when sick as well. Definitely see him as a back sleeper and a personal furnace. Doesnāt consider himself a cuddler, but after being with you for so long, itās become a sleeping ritual to have you pressed against his side/chest in order to even fall asleep. Like Kenji, if you get concerned about his status of life, you can either check his pulse, heartbeat, or simply put a hand on his chest since he does take in full breaths, itās easy to feel, heās just quiet about it. Is a heavy ass sleeper too. Once he taps out, nothing is waking his ass up except his internal alarm clock for when morning comes. Occasionally moves around too, but you donāt normally have to fight for the blankets, thank God.
Rin: Snores lightly, but rhythmically. Itās the same sound, length, and volume, so it turns into background noise for you quite easily after being with him for a while. Loves spooning you and with you facing him so you can kinda hug him back, or at least nuzzle your arms in between both your chests and feel your forehead against him. Actually, has to wrestle the blankets from you since he runs cold. When you get nuzzled up to be spooned, you form fit the blanket around you and the blanket acts as a barrier between your body and his even though your pressed against each other.
Go: Snores like his brother, but its erratically. The sound and volume arenāt the issue, the inconsistency of his snores is unsatisfying and annoying when you canāt get the pattern to fall asleep to. As always, he likes boobs, so heās gonna use yours as pillows. If you donāt move away once asleep, heāll stay in that position the whole night. Heās a normal temperature so blanket wars arenāt an issue with him. Mumbles in his sleep quite a lot actually, and you can even have a conversation with him, but his mumbles are damn near incoherent so you just have to make up a conversation with him, ask questions, make jokes, spill the tea, and heāll respond in some way. Itās pretty funny even if you donāt know what heās saying.
Wataru: Oddly possessive in his sleep. Cuddles the whole night, will not let you go. Needs to have some kind of point of contact with you even if its just a knee on your leg, hand on your arm, or something simple. Prefers having more of you on him, though. Like Shingo, heās mostly quietly but he hums in place of his sighs. With his voice being deeper than Shinās, it somehow sounds more lulling if youāre still awake, like that deep hum that just makes you feel safe, comfortable, and even though heās always pressed up on you, reassured that your manās always there. Because thereās that reassurance and his possessive sleep nature, I feel like heās a light sleeper. The kind of light sleeper thatās usually tired all the time, but itās his normal and if he hears a noise thatās not usually in the room or house, something that isnāt background noise, heāll wake up and just lay there listening for anything for a few minutes before falling back asleep if he deems thereās no threat.
Nobuhiko: As sweet as he is, I somehow see him as not a cuddler at all. Like he needs his space in order to fall asleep and does so facing away from you. Most likely a habit of falling asleep on a specific side and if youāre on the side of the bed that has him facing away from you, thatās just how its gonna be. He kinda hogs the blankets, but he also wakes up a few times a night for some reason and when he does wake up, heāll readjust them over the bed and you before tapping back out. I see him as being a quiet guy too, so itās easy to stay asleep with him.
Mako: Full on cuddler, but poor girl never got the chance to cuddle with anyone until she dates you. Due to the lack of physical affection, sheās a leech. Will stay cuddled up with you the whole night and is a quiet sleeper. Sheāll occasionally let out light sighs, but theyāre so quiet and cute it canāt possibly bother anyone. Blanket wars hardly exist since sheās stuck on you the whole time and if she does move, she just glides under the covers so they stay in place.
Sayuki: Needs to spread out, starfish style. Kinda sporadic when it comes to sleeping, sheās everchanging. Can fall asleep anyplace, anywhere like Shin as long as she has room to spread out. Will throw her leg over your or even weasel it under if its in her way lol. Same with her arms, sheās probably clocked you in the head a few times if she rolls over or goes to move it and it just kinda flings over. Moves a lot in her sleep so good luck getting those blankets back. Probably has dreams where sheās navigating Usui for Mako and ends up talking about the pass in her sleep about whatever Dream Mako has to avoid, how tight a corner to take, etc.
Kyoko: Also a huge cuddler. She probably mumbles mechanic stuff in her sleep, seeing as thatās her job. If you ask her about it the next morning, sheāll most likely remember her dreams, but be discombobulated about if it was real or not and what day it took place. But she could tell you fairly well what she was talking about, fixing, etc. Doesnāt move much unless sheās having a racing dream, her hand probably twitches when sheās dreaming of shifting gears.
Lightweight Shingo is weirdly endearing⦠do you think he gets hungover easily too?
Oh, yes. #TedTalk incoming. āš»š
With how much confidence and pride he has in general, whether it be of himself, driving, etc. I always figured he has to have a weakness of some kind. So why not a lightweight? Since the legal drinking age in Japan is 20, and he's 20 in Stage 1 so he's a baby in the drinking world. Unless of course he drank alcohol at home and worked up a tolerance, but I don't see that happening. His parents would probably be strict with that, and just Japanese families in general would probably be against it anyway until they're of age.
He probably didn't get into drinking too much until after he starts dating. He'd find nights out with you more enjoyable, and if you're a casual drinker for nights out, gatherings, etc. he'd pick it up a bit more with you and try whatever drinks you order so he can find his likes and dislikes.
Since he is a baby im the drinking world, I can forsee you needing to bring anti-hangover medicine, whether it's the little drink or those dissolvable pills/chew type things. If he doesn't get those, he's definitely gonna be complaining the next day that he's dying, probably throws up a few times and has zero appetite. He'd probably feel dehydrated as fuck and want to chug the shit out of several glasses of water, but the migraine and upset stomach he's got is preventing him from doing so. Thus, he'd have to settle for a sip at a time and he's gonna be miserable as hell for the entire day, maybe even the day after that.
It really kills his tough guy personality, and I think it's cute. :)
