I missed your story so much and I loved the new chapter!! I think I’ve said it before but I really like how you write Wanda so motherly. I think it’s gotten to a point where I can’t read a fic if Wanda doesn’t act motherly towards reader 😭 I thought it was really interesting how we learn that Wanda actually tried to get R by herself, or how she didn’t do any cooking when R was gone. I really liked how attached R seemed to be towards Wanda and my fav line was when Wanda was like “my wife spoils you” and R responds “so does my mommy”. Wanda also says this a lot, but I really like how she refers to R as her “baby girl” UGH I LOVE HOW YOU WRITE THEIR RELATIONSHIP

I also want to know what wanda’s reaction was when Natasha told her that R was kidnapped so bad 😫

Hiii thank you so much ❤️ also im lowkey the same way when i read fics. I started reading “Collision Course” by @whisperofaflame recently and they really do an EXCELLENT job of writing Wanda in this kind of light! Highly recommend if you haven’t read it.

I think that Wanda has a general materialness to her as a person and reader truly brings it out of her x1000.

I have plans for the next couple of chapters that reference Wanda’s reaction when Natasha tells her about R being kidnapped… just you wait 😎

Sharing some thoughts, after seeing some of my favourite authors receiving certain kinds of asks lately...

As writers, we love, love, love engagement and enthusiasm. Hearing that you're excited about our fics makes us excited too! But writing, like any art, is not something you can turn on like a tap. We can't just switch on the writing whenever we like, or notionally have the time to do so. Sometimes we sit down, and it seems like all our ducks are in order, but nothing comes out. Writing is an art, and art is an ancient, unreliable thing – more like the rain. We don't always know when it arrive, or for how long it will stay.

When you're in a writing drought, it can feel exhausting and sometimes hopeless. Not knowing when it will start working again is really challenging, and it's hard not being able to give accurate predictions, for yourself and your readers. At times like these, small comments (even if well-intentioned) can have a big impact, because writing feels raw. When you've been trying your hardest to do the thing that brings you joy, but gaining no traction or satisfaction from it, it's very difficult to hear that people are disappointed, or disbelieving that you're doing your best.

If your favourite author hasn't posted in a while, or a promised chapter doesn't arrive as anticipated, it may be worth checking in with a view to their wellbeing rather than just their work. Fanfic writers are not machines, made only to create things for your consumption. We are human, and we are just fans too. People with our own lives who love to play silly games with our favourite characters and yap about them with other fans. Sometimes life gets in the way of that, and we feel as sad about it as you do.

In short: be kind, and don't remind writers if they're "falling behind" on a fic (trust me, we already know). ♡

I haven’t left it unfinished I promise! I received a big promotion at work ~ and it’s been a large change for me over the past few months. Not in a bad way. However, ive been a little burnt out.

I do have the next chapter mostly written. I just need to finish it haha. I’m doing okay overall! Just mentally tired. My ADHD meds have been upped recently so I’ve been able to sit down and focus more lately.

do you think R has now developed separation anxiety from Wanda and Nat?

Yes and no! I think from a trauma standpoint she fears losing anyone that she is close with. Considering she spends a great deal of time with both women I think she enjoys having days where she’s out with her friends, or having alone time. Reader needs a specific amount of alone time, due to how she grew up with her father and having no siblings. She’s generally shy, so she’s used to having at least a few hours alone some days.

However, with the recent events she is quite scared of being away from Wanda and Natasha, because of her father. In the manner that she was taken, she doesn’t want to be out of Wanda or Natasha’s sight unless they are at home.

“You’re such a mom.’ Yelena replies dismissively” why is Wanda STILL catching strays when Yelena’s on the verge of tears?? 😭 That made me laugh

Yelena LOVES to bust Wanda’s balls at all points. It’s meant from a place of love, but for the longest time Wanda would be so hurt by the comments, until she saw Yelena giving the same remarks to Natasha and Clint. Wanda actually at the point would be concerned if Yelena didn’t speak to her that way. Because the only people Yelena watches her mouth with is Reader and Kate (obviously because Kate is her fiancée, and Reader is Reader). Yelena is aware that reader is sensitive so she tries to be more consciously sensitive towards Y/N. Which y/n appreciates MOST of the time.

I want to say so many things about what I loved about this chapter and I haven't even finished it yet but I'm stuck here crying over Yelena's "Welcome home, little sister" 😭😭😭

I love her and Y/N relationship so much 🥹

Yelena does not usually explain what she says in Russian to reader. (Partially because she lowkey wants reader to learn Russian too) but reader has to find the hyperfixation to want to learn anything new. Natasha is slowly teaching her basic words here and there.

Yelena’s relationship with reader is so special, and I love the playful dynamic they have. I definitely would love to write a one shot of them just hanging out and getting into mischief.

Plus they both like to push Natasha’s buttons and I think that is my favorite part 🤭
