Figure animalière sur une production culturelle du groupe Aluku, en Guyane. Le serpent est animal privilégié dans la cosmogonie des peuples Marons et Amérindiens de Guyane. Le serpent se retrouve régulièrement dans les productions artisanales et artistiques. Chez les Aluku, il est à la fois le symbole du féminin et du masculin. Plus largement dans les traditions afro-diasporique, comme dans le sèvi Ginen (vodoun ayitien), il peut être associé a des esprits ou des divinités. On retrouve aussi le symbole du serpent sur des productions matérielles du peuple Akan (Ghana).

Also to clarify, “unfolding” a heart isn’t as simple of a procedure this drawing makes it seem - you have to first dissolve the collagen scaffolding that keeps the heart intact, theeen be extremely careful during the separation process in order to keep the pathways intact. But that wouldn’t look as cute as a drawing :P
The Wii Towai tribe of Papua New Guinea believes in mystical spirit birds that sit by waterfalls, acting as guardians between the physical and spiritual worlds. These birds are said to carry messages from ancestors and serve as omens, guiding the tribe in important decisions. The tribe also creates intricate ceremonial masks, which represent these spirit birds and ancestral beings. Worn during rituals and ceremonies, the masks are believed to channel the spirit's energy, offering protection, wisdom,and a connection to the unseenworld.

St John the Baptist medieval church, Inglesham. A series of paintings, from the thirteenth to the nineteenth century, cover the walls often with one painted over another, in places seven layers thick. While it is not always easy to puzzle out the subjects, you can see fifteenth-century angels above the chancel arch.
Ancient Egyptian Wall Painting: Woman Holding a Sistrum, between circa 1250 and circa 1200 BC (New Kingdom).
The woman in this fragmentary painting from a tomb wall has a wig of long, full hair, held in place by a flowered headband and topped with an ointment cone, a perfumed substance placed on wigs that gave off a fragrant aroma as it melted. A lotus blossom adorns the front of the headband. She holds a rattle called a sistrum, which women often played during temple ceremonies. What remains of the inscription suggests that she may have served with the temple staff of the god Amen.

The images you see here are created using circles with diameters of successive primes, superimposed on each other and repeated from a common source. For each natural number "n" we draw a periodic curve from the origin intersecting the "x" axis in "n" and its multiples. Prime numbers are those that are intersected by just two curves: the prime number itself and one.
This is a simple method of constructing prime numbers using geometry.
