even if his half-a-caramel apple’s the way it is, he’s glad that it was there since he wasn’t even sure if he could have managed to make sabine to even move her lips upwards in good nature due to him or something he did. he nodded in agreement. “’you gonna eat yours?” he asked, and then he picked up his apple up, he looked at it and furrowed, “i actually hope this is edible.” he laughed a little and took a bite from it. he could barely taste the caramel, he felt like there wasn’t even any caramel on it aside from the splotches. “my god, this is just a plain apple. how is yours?”

" suppose i will, ” she said on a resigned sigh, dreading the certainty that she’d get horribly sticky in the process. taking a bite herself, she resisted the urge to shudder as caramel was smeared on her chin and the underside of her nose, chewing with a scowl of displeasure at both the taste and the discomfort. “ not worth it, ” she decided, shaking her head vehemently. “ the apple is too soft, the texture of the caramel is, like, sort of crunchy? and now i’m all gross. ” she frowned deeply as she looked up at him, pointing with dismay at the mess it made on her face. “ if this is what the thanksgiving spirit looks like, then i want no part in it. ”
