random lil notes on my 2 year anniversary rewatch of hlvrai:

+ tommys voice changes throughout the series, and mostly just becomes baaulp talking higher and whinier/more emotional [gestures to tommy sounding on the verge of tears all the time]

+ forzens voice also changes in each act; in act 2 scorpy makes him whinier than benrey to distinguish btwn them, but in act 4 scorpy makes his voice deeper and more gravelly

+ when dr coomer gets his leg stuck in the door and falls in act 2, wayne first says "she-" referring to holly, before quickly stammering and correcting himself to say "he got his leg stuck-" in reference to coomer as the character

+ watching the chat joke about covid really dates this back to early 2020 oh my god

+ tommy number one defender of black mesas fucked up shit. its all necessary and even if it wasnt we're allowed to have it!!!!!!

+ in act 1 gordon tries to say hello back to dr coomer when coomer gets stuck in the default "hello gordon". he may be on the verge of a breakdown and screaming but he still always says hello back

+ scorpy breaks character in a2e2 when hes startled by the golem ape and reactively warns wayne/gordon while laughing

+ in the scene directly following the golem ape, benrey kisses and sweet voices purple at tommy

+ out of everyone, bubby is most concerned with tommys safety, multiple times yelling out for tommy to be careful like a hysterical mother watching her son hang upside down on the monkey bars

+ tommys favorite flavor of coolatta is strawberry [and the one flavor of coolatta ive had irl hehehoho]

+ tommy calls claymores 'blue powerade lasers'

+ darnold and tommy are canonly implied to already know each other by act 4 [which leads to the implication that tommy KNEW they were heading to the mixology dept instead of cybernetics and didnt say anything]
