I did not care for the caitvi sesbian lex scene. WAIT DONT SHOOT!! I JUST think it was kinda rushed? and out of place. I also hate the "Character A: going through an extremely traumatic and emotional moment and looking for comfort in a soft way. Character B: hm.... I'm gonna fk them rn, while they're vulnerable" trope. I like CaitVi, but the more I watched, the less I felt connected to them as a pairing. Which says something considering that in season 1, I was sooooo attached to them. like they were my absolute OTP.

if this is what you’ve boiled it down too i really don’t think you understand even half of what was going on in that scene. Vi doesn’t know jinx intends to kill herself, she asked “what are you gonna do” and for us watching it’s easy to tell but jinx just stating “ending the cycle” is incredibly vague for vi, she got punched in the stomach and locked in a cage and abandoned again. The only clear cut exchange for her is jinx stating that she should choose her happiness with cait. Cut to cait coming in saying she knew she’d find her here and dropping the bomb that she purposely diverted the guards because she knew vi was going to come for her sister and made it EASIER for her, calling back to their previous scene when vi says “who gets to choose” and cait chose, and she chose to trust both vi and jinx over her grievances with jinx. That means everything to vi, as a character that is her entire thing, its loyalty and trust. In that moment she is faced with someone she cares for that has taken the ultimate step for her and isn’t goading her for being right, isn’t criticizing, she just states “yes i knew, it’s okay” and vi decides to choose happiness, with someone who UNDERSTANDS HER. This wasn’t rushed, it’s wasn’t odd, this was a build up that was long winded for them. You just do not understand.
